This tunnel is so worth the money, it's the star of my little boy's Brio train set. No matter how his track is set up, the main focus of any train journey he goes on is to travel through this tunnel. It has 3 sounds which are totally realistic - falling rocks (drama!), an owl (spooky!) and the sound of a steam engine tooting and rushing through a tunnel (evocative!). The sounds are all echo-y, like they have been recorded in an actual tunnel. The sounds are triggered by a train passing through the tunnel or by pressing the button. His daddy and I often just press the button ourselves as we're passing, because the sounds are so cool - especially the sound of the steam engine.I noticed another reviewer was slightly critical because it wasn't made of wood, but I don't think that would work, this tunnel provides a nice splash of colour and realism.

My son got this for his second birthday, and still plays with it 2+ years on. My other son has been getting it out from when he was just over 1 and just posting trains through it to hear the noises. It is universally popular when friends come to play. The batteries seem to last for ever too!Our tunnel is quite loud, (in fact our next door neighbour wondered what the train noises were!) but it is great, and makes a track set up much more fun as the sounds made are random, and it gives a purpose to pushing the train around the track again and again. It is very study, the flip bridge has come off once or twice, but just clips on again. All in all definitely worth the money in my opinion.

We bought some initial Brio sets, at her parents' request, for my 18-month old grandaughter at Christmas. The tunnel is supposedly for 3 years and up but the reviews encouraged me to buy it and I am glad I did. It attracted our granddaughter's attention immediately and she was hooked at once. The four sounds are really good - at first she just pressed the button to make them but quickly learnt to run a train through as well. I was a little worried, as she is only just 18 months, that the railway as a whole would be a little old for her but she seems to love it and I am sure that the tunnel was the main reason she took to it so quickly.

My son has been lucky enough to inherit my brother's trainset and I bought this for him for Christmas. While he doesn't seem that excited by it I notice it is put on the track every time he plays and he does spend time pressing the button and pushing the trains through. I'm afraid it was a bit overshadowed on the big day by a present of a remote control train for the track from my father! It seems very sold and durable and definitely adds interest to the set. ~If you have more modern trains, they set the noise off independently which is great. We only have one or two of those.

a lot of fun, compatible with all the types of wooden track and Thomas trains that we have ( a straight track going in and out helps if you have carriages). It is well built and very robust. The sounds are triggered either by a train with a magnetic coupling passing through the tunnel or by someone pressing the yellow button on the top. It plays a few different 'spooky' sounds at an 'acceptable' volume. This has been in use for 2 years now with no need to change batteries yet. I would highly recommend it.

My son saw this at a friend and nagged me to get him one. I must admit that it's given his train set a new lease of life as he plays with it at least once a week. It's one of the best accessories I've bought. It's got lots of different sounds and makes the train set more fun to play with. I would have given it 5 stars, but I was surprised it was made in plastic and brio are famous for wooden toys. Even so, it's very good quality plastic and still looks new after 8 months! Good value.

Our two year old son had played with this model of tunnel at his cousins house. He enjoyed it so much that we decided to purchase him one for his birthday. It complements the rest of the Brio track he has very well, and he has spent hours playing with it. He is particularly intrigued by the various noises that eminate from the tunnel when a train passes through.A great product. If your child likes Brio wooden railway track and trains then they will love this.

My son was given this for his first birthday, he is now 4 and has a 2 year old brother. It is constantly out with the rest of the Brio. It is great, it is tough, it is loud. A number of his friends now also have the tunnel! My only complaint is that it seems to go off at the key moment in the tv programme and drowns out all the sounds. Brio also have fantastic customer service. Three cheets for Brio!

As you'd expect from Brio, the Adventure Tunnel feels solid and well-made and should last our grandchildren for years. The sound effect of the train passing through is excellent, but the others are a bit pointless and give the impression of only having been added to justify the price. But so what, the children love it and, like the rest of their deeply untrendy wooden railway, keep going back to it.

We've got a secondhand one of these which endures endless play and is still in perfect condition. It brings any track layout to life with its sounds and is the part that all visiting kids go for (and my son loves). Not sure I'd pay full price as Brio seems very expensive despite the excellent quality, but it's worth getting your hands on one of these somehow for any little train fan.

Outstanding. The tunnel has three different noises, an owl, a train noise and a train hooter. So a different noise each time a train goes through. It has little steps up the side, to add to the fun. The bridge on the top lifts up. It is the same size as a large piece of track. It has provided no end of fun and is very sturdy. It should last many years.

We purchased the tunnel as a add on to the extension track pack for our grandson who is nearly 2.5 years old. It has absorbed his interest totally and is the first part of the track brought out for me to assemble! There are a variety of noises emanated during the passage of the train which generate much enjoyment. Can be highly recommended.

A very good interactive toy which helped the children and parents interact better and use their imaginations more so as to enjoy their train set. The sounds were excellent but were there volume was a little low and difficult to hear at times. Overall an excellent addition which is loved by all.

I bought this for my grandchildren to play with at my house. The tunnel arrived promptly and it was no disappointment. They love it and so do I. The only thing about it - is a plastic pathway which looks a little delicate. Time will tell. But the tunnel is very entertaining.

This adventure tunnel, is the best I have brought so far, for my Grandson, don't tell but I love BRIO and more than willing to play lmao. Joe pushes the trains fontwards then pushes them back straight away for hours. A must have if you want an hour of happy silence.
