I'll admit this is the most expensive hand mixer I've ever purchased, but I'm glad I did. I don't have space for a stand mixer but have gotten into making my own bread. This Braun has plenty of power - it didn't strain at all for bread dough with the included hooks. It feels sturdy, and I like the variable-speed dial so you can start slow and then increase speed to what you want. The attachments are easy to clean. I haven't whipped anything yet, but I'm certain it will be great. Recommend 100%.

As I don’t have a standing mixer for dough making, I bought the mixer for some light work with cake and bread. The Braun is great for this, as it comes with whisk and dough hooks. However as it is a hand mixer the rotation movement around the mixing bowl is required from your arms and therefore when mixing thicker batter or dough you will need to grip the mixer quite hard, and the grip is not really built for that. But overall at fraction of cost of decent stand mixers easily 4 stars.

Bought this to replace a Braun hand mixer that I have had more years than I can remember and which has only just stopped working. The design in almost the same as my original. It looks far better than many other brands that I viewed which were considerably more expensive. I especially like the style of the beaters which are rounded rather than flat metal. It seems a little less powerful than my previous model despite having a larger motor; however it does everything I need it to.

Our previous hand mixer has gone bust and we needed some replacement, but wanted something stronger than the previous one, which died as it couldn't cope with the dough we were trying to mix with it. This one has 500 watts and can handle anything we throw at it.It's easy to use and fits well in the hand and the easy speed adjustment is just wonderful.We're glad we bought this particular one.

Had this mixer a few weeks now and used on several occasions, at first I found placing the mixing wands into the sockets a little difficult but at least they are firm when in use. Very powerful motor plus a boost button means mixing doughs and stiff cake mixes becomes easy. Wands and dough hook easy to clean and this mixer is much quieter than my previous model. Overall very satisfied.

The design is lovely I thought it is a small mixer but is quite a big one , I like it because is very silent, but is much heavier than my previous one and the turbo honestly is not really turbo I would say very slow , I bake a lot but cakes not really in to bread probably is very powerful but wouldn't recomand if you have a lot to mix as your hand will hurt.

Mixer ok, does its job so I’m happy with it overall. Only used twice or three times though. The only minor cons are: 1) a bit loud; 2) my hands hurts when using it for longer. Proficient says it’s designed to take the weight away from your hand by placing it above the whisks but in my opinion it does the opposite.

Fair value for money. Very easy to use despite not reading the instructions - probably why I accidentally ejected the whisks, making myself jump. Made great biscuits and a cake so far, but not used the dough hooks yet. Easy to clean, cord long enough, what else is there to say.

Right, I've used my hand blender a few times now. It took some getting used to but now I wouldn't be without it. It's helped me make some lovely cookies and icing. The blender is made by Braun - it's a make that I trust - so I hope to use this for many years to come.

The powerful motor deals easily with all kinds of different mixtures, from making brandy butter to mashing potatoes. I haven’t used the kneading hooks yet, but from the work I have done either the beaters, I am sure it can take on the toughest kneading tasks.

Very impressed with the mixer. It's sturdy and with two sets of blades mixes anything. Easy to use and has plenty of speeds to choose from. Also easy release blades for cleaning.Best quality mixer I have had. Would definitely recommend it.

Worth paying a bit extra for this item.Well made, stylish and quiet.Convenient rotary control allows easy selection of infinitely variable speeds during use rather than having a stepped switch.

This is a great product but my experience with BRAUN products is that they are reliable and do what they're supposed to do with no fuss. And the Argos system worked pretty smoothly too.

Love simple items that does what it says on the packet, which this item does, and it is value for money. I got it for making cakes quickly and easily, which it is very helpful for!

Unusually, the dough hooks push the mix back into the dough rather than the more usual pulling it out. It handles the dough well but I am not convinced about the logic behind it.
