This review is for the Braun Aspirator.Ok, well I remember when my kids where babies and I had the tommy tippy essentials kit that came with the hair comb, hair brush, nail cutters and a few other bits including a manual Aspirator. I did try using the Aspirator back then and thought it was rubbish. The braun one I found appealing, first cause of the brand, I have many Braun items in the house already which are good quality and secondly cause it’s automatic and not manual like the Tommy tippy one.So the product arrived well packaged and as expected by amazon.I had a look at the instructions and it’s fairly easy to use. Has 2 suction settings and is relatively quiet. I went in to using the product in my soon.First impressions not great did not do a lot at all so I put it aside.Just yesterday my son got a bit of runny nose and the making of a cold. He was blowing his nose every few mins so I thought I might uses this.. to my surprise it worked a lot better, sucked out a load snot.. great stuff.I found it does work when you have runny nose but not so much for taking out bogies. ( sorry for being a bit gross)Bonus - you can put the snotty parts in the dishwasher with your dishes... lol.. not sure I’d want to do that but good to know.

This works quite well on my 5 month old who gets very congested from reflux and is really irritable (also from reflux) and won’t tolerate me going near here with a manual nasal aspirator. I find the manual ones such a faff with a crying baby, this electric version is ten times easier to use. It comes with two size heads, the smaller one is perfect for her nose. When I put it in her nose and press the button she looks alarmed, but no hysterics, which allows me to get the job done. She gets a lot of gluey sticky snot, and I need to use the higher of the two suction settings; it doesn’t completely pull the snot down into the device but it pulls it enough so it’s hanging out of her nose,so I can just easily wipe it off with a tissue. Not sure if this would be good enough for other people but I’m really happy with this result. I feel like this is one of those products that’s going to be useful to have around, especially as I have a toddler too. Stuffy noses can be really distressing for young children and anything that helps even a small bit is worth it.

I was not expecting much given one or two other reviews, but have no fear: this works. It works best, however, when a couple of saline drops have been instilled into the child or baby's nose beforehand. This is always a good idea as it is so very effective and harmless way to clear a stuffy nose. The saline drops loosen the mucus nicely and the Braun sucks it all out easily. It isn't noisy and the suction is genuinely sufficient if a decent seal on the child's nostril can be achieved. You wouldn't want more suction for baby's sake, I'd say. We've previously been using a much cheaper device that attaches to the vacuum cleaner (it sounds horrendous, but it really isn't!) but that, despite being very effective indeed, was just too cumbersome and noisy. This is the opposite: easy and effective. It's well worth buying and, if you struggle at all, just persevere using nasal drops first. Your child will be much more comfortable and you'll feel a lot happier, even though it does sometimes need repeating regularly.

Honestly the best bit of kit I have! We have all tried the suckers that you squeeze, then we all tried the one's where we suck the goop out of our kid's noses but this is a total game changer! Summer colds are the worst and my 3 year old had goopy snot ooozing away out of his nose and would not let me come near him with other things to get the snot out. I gave him this to hold and he was able to turn it on, and it sucked the snot out lickety split! The fact he could control it, turn it on and off and was able to see the results of his labour....GOLDEN!!!!! Worth every single cent! This is so easy to clean and is so fabulous I have now purchased two more for my friends as gifts!GET THIS YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!

I was a bit undecided about spending £30 on this but decided to go for it. My baby started suffering from hayfever at 3 weeks old and therefore had a stuffy nose every night. It made feeding difficult for him. I started using this on him and it made a huge difference! He can get a bit angry/upset sometimes when I’m doing it, but he seems to be used to it now. I find it works best when he’s sleepy. It’s honestly up there as one of my best baby purchases and well worth the £30! It clears everything out from the nose and you can hear the difference in his breathing straight away. He’s instantly happier and more settled when it’s done. I’ve already started recommending this to mum friends.

This has been an excellent product, it is essentially a snot sucker, and is great for babies, as they cannot blow their noses this provides them with some relief. We have tried the manual snot suckers before and they have been ok, but this is a much better product. It is quite a chunky piece of kit but it is easy to clean. It is not too noisy and didn’t upset our little one too much. The suction power is fine for what it is used for, I have seen a few reviews moaning that it is not powerful enough, but it doesn’t want to be over powerful for babies. I would buy this product again to give a little one some relief, and a better nights sleep for all.

Right, this is a second one. We did get a non-branded one earlier and it was fab, but had to use it on a.... ?...so no longer good for a baby's ? , right?. A bit...yak....Anyway, we though we might as well try the branded one, maybe we are missing out on some incredible features here, with the simple basic non-branded item?Well....not really.Don't get me wrong - Braun one is great, it does what it says on the box, it has a decent suction, it feels lovely in your hand, in fact it's more appealing to the eye and better to use than the first one, but it only has two suction modes, while the ? one has five....for that reason only I give it 4 ?.

This has been great! My 5 month old has had an absolutely stinking cold. She has been so snotty she can’t sleep. We started using the aspirator and it got so much out. It meant she was able to go back to sleep. If we haven’t been able to get any out, I just used some saline drops. It’s nice and quiet so I’ve been able to use it without it waking her up too much. It’s really quick and easy to clean and the suction bits go in the steriliser. Over all I’m really glad I went for it, as I wasn’t sure based on some of the reviews. I’m sure this is just the first cold of many maaaany more, so glad we’ve got this for when they get us!

This is easy to set up as it comes with a couple of supplied AA batteries (yay!) that you slot it. You have a choice if a couple of heads for it with different sizes, we tried it out on our wee one with a certain amount of success. It worked to an extent but he didn’t seem that happy with it. Hopefully he (and we’ll) get a bit more used into it. The suction isn’t that strong but then I guess you wouldn’t expect it to be when aimed at a younger age. It’s easy to empty and clean and the attachments are dishwasher safe. It also comes it a handy storage pouch. An interesting item but I’m not convinced how much we’ll use it.

Very happy to have ordered this nasal aspirator and been able to substitute the manual one I had. With the manual one it was effective but every time it seemed I was out of breath to be able to clean my son nose. This one doesn't make much noise, it has two settings to choose from. I am using the lower one with my newborn. It is very delicate but it does its job.Very easy to clean also. It can be washed in a dishwasher but I manually wash it with water after each use.comes with batteries included. Also the item com

As this is a well known brand and fairly expensive I thought it would work better than it does. The suction is very light and I know that is suitable from but I think it needs to be a bit more powerful. There are 2 levels of suction, both are quite mild and struggle to remove congestion. It’s light and easy to hold, also very quiet so doesn’t scare baby. The two tip are dishwasher safe and it comes with batteries and a pouch it put it in. It’s a bit overpriced and the suction needs to be improved.

Overall, despite having some concerns this has generally been effective. When your lo gets a cold everyone knows about and so to ease their pain you can use this, essentially a vaccum for the nose.Suction is a bit on the weak side but it is a consumer product for untrained people I guess. Was easy to clean and use. Also used a manual one a fraction of the cost that was also effective.

We didn't like the look of other nasal aspirators so opted for this one. There are two settings, both offer great suction. There are also 2 tips which are easy to fit.1 of the tips is meant for a newborn, but don't kid yourself, it won't work. We tried it on our 4week old and it didn't do much. Fast forward another 4 weeks, it does its job perfectly.Easy to empty and clean.

Doesn't work for new born despite using saline solution to loosen the mucus. Waste of money.*Edit* Had given 1 star BUT actually the best one I have for my toddler loose mucus. I tried different brands on Amazon and this is actually the best suction.Still useless on infant sticky mucus but very happy to have it

I got this as a present and it’s so great! So easy to use and I can get everything out in a short time which wouldn’t be possible with a manual one.Only thing I would say is I needed it when my baby was 8 weeks old and his nose was too tiny for it (and he was born on week 41) so definitely not 0+ months.
