I needed a mower for quite a large expanse of flat lawn and also a sloping area so anything with a cable was not going to work. My experiences with pull-cords have not been good so this seemed to be the answer, especially as I get older (65 plus)I am not disappointed - the mower is very easy to use, light enough for me to lift, battery easy to charge and insert and it does the job very well. The battery lasts just about long enough to cut all my grass - as long as I haven't allowed too much growth. Otherwise it dies just at the moment when I can stop for an hour and have a cup of tea whilst it recharges! A spare battery would be an answer to this and I will consider this in the long run.My only criticism is that the edges of the lawns still need to be strimmed (hence the 4 stars)- as I have edging stones the 'comb' device doesn't quite deal with them, but on the other hand that's being very fussy and I don't really need or want immaculate manicures around my grass!!All-in-all a really good buy and a confirmation of my previous experiences of Bosch devices which have never let me down.Read full review...

Bought this relatively new off ebay, like so many things with batteries you are always apprehensive of its power. But Lithium is the way forward, and this is no exception. The Mower itself has a build quality that is 2nd to none, and as for the battery life. I have cut my 18m x 10m garden 3 times now and the battery level indicator is still on 2 out of 3. Impressive! The motor running on the 36 volt battery runs stronger than my 2 previous Black & Decker corded lawnmowers, and gets through even the most overgrown of gardens with relative ease. The price is exspensive, but here comes another drink reference - "It's reasuringly exspensive". Like everything you get what you pay for,and the battery alone I have seen on ebay for over £100 , so does loose it.I would have to give this lawnmower 9/10, I would give it 10/10. But the fact its makes the rest of my garden power tools look pre-historic annoys me. So im deducting it a point for being so good...To close - Love it.Read full review...

This mower is very conveient in that it has no power lead or petrol to worry about. Charging the battery is quick, and it easily does my two lawns (one small and one medium size)on one charge. The height of the mower is easily adjusted, so that it caters for all lenghts of grass. I try to mow regularly, as it is much less work, so I can't comment how this mower would perform on long grass. The grass box is adequate for the size of lawns that I have. As with all types of rotary mowers, the actual cut of the grass is not as good as a cylinder mower which uses a scissor type cutting action, but unless you have a bowling green, I think this mower will satisfy most users.

Very pleased with the product, easy to set up, cuts well, easy to manoevure. The only downside is the battery. The first two cuts it did my front and back lawns (about 30-35 minutes non-stop cutting). On the third cut, the motor died when there was about a minute of cutting left to do. As the grass was short and dry on every occasion, the battery has to be losing its strength. It meant of course, wait almost one hour for the battery to fully charge again before completing the cut. Now, next time I use it, it will definitely require a charge mid-cut. Frustrating - and the only solution is to purchase a second battery which is ridiculously expensive.

At last! Bosch have made a really good cordless electric mower that is well worth the extra £100 or so to replace a heavy corded mower. My two small lawns (about 4m x 4m each) used to take over half an hour of hard work to get in shape and that can now be done in less than half the time using the Bosch Li37. Bosch have now done for lawnmowing what Dyson did for vacuuming. There's no going back!Up-date 19 March 2013. Battery still lasts a good half an hour and there has been no need to replace any parts. Without doubt the best lawnmower that I have ever used.BUT YOU WILL NEED AN EXTRA BATTERY FOR BIG GARDENS

my last on expired 20 years ago after 15 years of good service. I vowed not to buy any more Bosch products because of their appalling aftercare and poor battery life. Still this is about they only battery mower available at the moment with anything like good reviews. So minimum assembly. Quick charge and off round my small lawn. Recharge set it to lowest removing that spacer that stops you going too close. And so it has been when ever the lawn looks less than newly mown and the cutting time has been only 50% that with the mains flymo. watch this space for how long it lasts.

What a difference to my mountfield mower. I thought it may lack the power of a petrol but 95% time its doesnt. Only time may notice is longer wet grass, which isn't advisable to mow but living in the lakedistrict cant be avoided sometimes! We have a decent size (approx 10m x 4m lawn and I can easily get 2-3 cuts from 1 charge so proving much cheaper than petrol to run.Extremely light and easy to manouver and most importantly give a great cut. Only grip is occasionaly the battery can disconnect (after a slight bang into edging) but that takes seconds to fix.

As I have had an surgery on my right shoulder, using a petrol mower was becoming a great problem. My neighbour has a battery lawn mower and he asked me to have a go, and I am glad I did.The mower is easy to start and does not take long to charge. It is ideal if you have not got a lot of grass to cut. The best thing that I have purchased. Also if the grass box fills up the mower will stop, so you know then you have to empty the box. Well worth the money!

This is my second Bosch battery operated mower, the first one failed to start. Yes they are expensive, but they are so easy to use, no cable to lug around. My lawn is about 200 sq. meters, and I can cut it on one charge. This may change as the battery ages, but the battery will fully charge in about 90 mins. So, have a cupper, or do some other jobs in the garden.

Love the freedom without the bother and weight of a petrol motor. Happy with the results of mowing the lawn. Dislike the build quality, the covers were incorrectly fitted preventing the height adjuster from working properly. Easily resolved but it shouldn't have happened. Without this problem I would have given it an excellent rating.

Fantastic power. Cuts through long grass with ease. Battery life very good, better than expected. Collection box awkward to initially put together and empty when full due to smallish aperture compared to the amount of grass it can hold. Also no tool supplied for removing the blade. Hope it lasts as long as my Flymo did.

I do love the Cordlessness of the mower much easier to turn & move. The only down side is Ive noticed the change in the quality of materials Bosch use. The mower is very light too light as I have to kept correcting my movements when mowing. I will persevere and hopefully I will adjust to the weight deficit.

Only used twice, but so far so good. Only one battery but it gives my 45 minutes of mowing. My only criticism is that you have to grip the "on" button quite hard to keep engine running which is a bit tiring on my hand.

9.3.2018

Only used once but very pleased - cut both lawns within 1 charge and still battery left and was able to do the job much quicker and easier as no cord - cuts well and lawn looks nice bit pricey but otherwise very good.

This will slice through even wet grass. The blade is probably the key to its performance, it is very sharp and well designed. The handle folds down easily and the height adjustment is a breeze.
