My 2 year old son adores his Jupiter fire engine. Like all Fireman Sam merchandise, the quality is pretty poor. The doors, steering wheel and crane have broken off very early on. Overpriced for what you get.. Unless you price it on a "penny per play" basis! In which case, it's a bargain! Also, it's almost impossible to keep Fireman Sam in a seated / driving position on the seat inside - gravity does it's job and he ends up "lying down" across the front seats. There is nothing to connect the character in to place, like in other Fireman Sam accesories (eg. he can click in to position to drive the rescue boat standing up). This frustrates my 2 year old no end!

I highly recommend this truck. I purchased the pack of five figurines to go with it. They are a bit smaller than the Fireman Sam included with this fire engine, which is perfect, because they fit a little easier inside. My grandson just slips the figurines through the front window, even though the doors do open. What i like best about this truck is the friction device. It makes a great noise. My grandson loves it. The truck seems pretty sturdy to me. I definitely recommend this truck rather than the smaller version without friction. I purchased a smaller one from a local store here in Belgium, but it is not as well built and putting the figurines inside is a challenge. So by all means,

My son loves Fireman Sam and this is a great toy for him. He's 2 and is constantly playing with it, stealing my daughters dolls house and pretending to rescue people stuck in the roof with the ladder. It doesn't seem as tough as some other fire engine toys he has such as those from the Early Learning Centre but having said that it's survived being thrown down the stairs a few times, smashed into walls etc without any damage so can't really complain. It would be nice if the lights flashed or it had a siren for him, but then again, silence is golden!

Decent size and durable apart from the doors - the frames are really thin plastic and break very easily. Ours have been superglued 3 times already. It would be good if the manufacturers could design figures that bend and go in the vehicle without brute force from an adult too. It's a shame that the Jupiter engine and the other Fireman Sam toys seem to be made to different scales - you can't fit any of the vehicles in the fire station, and the Sam figure is about twice as big as the other ones. But it doesn't seem to bother our 2 year old much.

Bought it for a 3 year old child, was very happy with it.Quality wise, it's well built, doesn't feel cheap at all, looks much better than on the picture here. The size is also bigger than expected.The package is also great, this is genuine Fireman Sam Merchandise.Some people complain about the finnicky doors, and the figurine being difficult to cram inside the car. These complaints have merit to them, but are very minor, and caused only slight inconvenience to the child.A quality toy sure to bring joy to little Fireman Sam fanatics.

I must admit I was disappointed when this arrived. It looked pretty cheap and flimsy and I thought it wouldn't last 5 minutes in the hands of my 18 month old son. I wouldn't have bought it if I had actually seen the item. However my little boy loves it and has played and played with it, he's quite heavy handed and so far it's withstood quite a bashing. So well worth the money after all.

Jupiter was an instant hit with my nephew, aged 4yrs old. He is a huge Fireman Sam lover and Jupiter was his favourite toy. The engine is very sturdy and takes a lot of knocks! The ladder which can be lost, unless careful, added to Sam's adventures. Definately recommended, only downside being Sam is quite hard to put back in the driving seat! But this does not deter from a fabulous toy.

Bought for my grandson who was nearly 3. He absolutely loves it and plays with it a lot. He can be heavy handed and it is still as bought. I would certainly recommend it. As with the other Fireman Sam vehicles, the larger figures can be difficult to get in as they are just slightly too big, however the smaller figures fit fine.

My son loves this toy. His friend has one so I thought I would buy him one too as he took a shine to it.It is exactly the sam but does not have the button to make the lights flash and make a sound :(My son and I were a bit disappointed but I should have read the description more carefully. Never mind.Still a fab toy

I bought the Fireman Sam Friction Fire Truck for my grandson to play with at my house. Not only does he love it, but it is the first thing my 2 year old grandaughter looks for too. My only regret is that it doesn't make any noise, so the children have to add their own "Bee Bars", very noisily!!!

What a superb toy for any Fireman Sam addict. My son who is 3 was amazed when the Easter bunny left him Sam and his engine! It is great for little hands to cope with, and Fireman Sam sits in the cab very easliy (unlike other friction toys in our house). An excellent buy, money VERY well spent.

My son's favourite toy - he got this second-hand from his cousin and when the arm broke under the weight of a big kid standing on it, we had no option buy to buy another one. The doors are definitely a weak spot on the strength of the toy though, so they’re likely to break with "active" play.

got this for my son ,when it arrived, its exactly what i want, my son,s gonna love it. Its a lovely size durable toy, and looks exactly like the pic online. Gonna have to get another one cas my other son will want one lol. Arrived ontime and good value for money .Thankyou x

My wife and I bought this fire engine as part of the full set (choper, ambulance, rescue truck and 4 x figures. Both of our boys 3 & 1 love this. They play with it every day. It takes a real hammering but it is still 100% intact. Its their favourite toy (at the moment!)

Bought this for my 3 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it and now in fact takes it to bed with her. I often find her playing with it in bed in the morning.Well made. Moves nicely. Fireman Sam's legs don't bend as much as I'd like but that's my only complaint ?
