Okay - so I messed up a little. I thought this was a cracking bargain, so I took a punt. What I had missed was that this is a 50cl bottle, not a 70. But I can't judge it poorly on my failing (just like in life).So. After the initial disappointed face, how does it stack up as a tipple? The lovely black bottle hints at something dark and slightly dangerous. Dare I try it?In the glass it's a pale drink with a blueish haze. A faint hint of tomato on the nose, but on the palate hints of something darker, with a touch of sweetness. A very interesting gin. But bring a little of your best tonic...Not as complex and moreish as, say, Roku (Japanese gin),but it has depth to it's flavour and a lighter sweet note at the end.Overall I am pleased with the purchase, in spite of the expectations of a bigger bottle. Black tomato is not as outlandish as it may, at first, appear.

I bought this on a whim - didn't know too much about it, just that I like trying new gins! It's not one of those flavoured gins (not a fan of those) so in no way does it taste like a strong tomato flavour!I found it a smooth an aromatic drink, I had it with lime and coriander in the glass (was thinking... Salsa...) And it was so easy to drink.A great curious find that always intrigues people when they come round. Or used to come round I should say, before lockdown.I drank the rest myself.

Purchased this on a whim, when it was on a lightning deal. Interesting taste. Took me a couple of tries to bring out the best in it. A very neutral tonic with basil leaves, a red chilli slice and a dried tomato slice. Very savoury, an earthy aroma of tomato and a slight salty tang. Worth a try if you like something a bit different.Update - Frozen tomato slice, half tonic & half soda. Even better! Also makes for a very appetising Bloody Mary.

Possibly one of the nicest gins I've tasted. Product blurb suggests that it's spicy and savoury. I agree that it is savoury, but also seems to have a slightly sweet edge (bit like tomatoes I guess). Doesn't taste like tomatoes but there is a very slight small of tomatoes. None of the harsh botanicals so often added to gin. Tastes really smooth and rounded. I would highly recommend and certainly worth a try if you like a well rounded gin.

A must try if you like you're fruity gins, this is one of a kind. We have tried it with tonic, on it's own and in a gin bloody mary (which is in my opinion the best way to have it) and they all taste fantastic. Upon trying, I have gifted a couple of bottles to friends and it's always a talking point, due to the unique flavour of this gin. If you're on the fence, take the plunge - very good stuff.

Try it for a refreshing surprise. Despite its name, it doesn't taste of tomato or anything like you expect it to. It tastes similar to a standard gin but with a lovely smooth after taste. Mix it simple to appreciate the taste..... Fevertree Light Indian Tonic, ice, with a slice of lime. Amazing addition to my growing gin collection. It truly is a fantastic choice. It will be a repeat buy for me.

A bit weird, but really good.I drink it with plain tonic, plenty of ice, and a sliver of lemon peel.Mainly I like gin flavoured gins - not the really spicy or random flavoured ones. This one is different: earthy, complex, but quite subtle. It tastes... grown up and a bit sophisticated! ? And quite like a Bloody Mary - but without the awful cold tomato juice!

Gorgeous. I bought this when it was on offer. I didn't really know what to expect. It is lovely. Beautifully smooth with a slight hint of aniseed. I will definitely buy it again but I'll probably wait until it's on offer. It's pricey but worth it for a special tipple.

Not what you might expect, absolutely no taste of tomatoes, instead a slight savoury note as opposed to a slight sweet note. Well worth a try, a quality gin in a mega stylish bottle. Will repeat purchase and keep on my gin tray going forward.

Tried this gin at the Gin Frstival and loved it. Bought it for a luxary and found it was as good at the gin featival. Best with blueberries and basil over plenty of ice. Although very expensive don't skimp on the gin to tonic ratio ;)

I bought this for my boss who already has an extensive gin collection. I was pretty sure he wouldn't own this one and I was right! He really enjoyed it.

Was purchased as a gift for a Gin lover and went down really well. A talking point gift and they said a slice of raw tomato as a garnish was perfect!

Tried this today, sweet and slightly savoury undertones, had this with a Fever Tree Tonic. I will be buying a bottle of this very well rounded gin.
