Love this headlamp from black diamond it was even better than I expected love all the features my friend has one and older model and it was great we use it when we go fishing by the lake you can’t compare this to a regular headlamp this one is so much better and all the features fantastic red blue and green lights Four different vision settings and the highbeam and low beam and Plus a dimmer and strobe but most important that I love is The one touched tap on the side which allows you to easily change from one light to another light and when you turn it on and off it automatically goes back to less light setting that you had great product well worth the money would recommend it to everybody,

Great little head lamp. It’s got Red, Green, & Blue lights to preserve night vision which is the primary reason I bought it. I needed something to use I’m the cockpit while flying at night. The red Is about 0.3 Lumens and the Blue is around 0.4 Lumens. The green however is much brighter at around 2.2 Lumens which is a little blinding when switching through colors at night. The brightness is adjustable, the tests were done with the lowest setting for all 3 colors. The tests were done using an Android app called “light sensor”. Results were in Lux tested at 1 foot away from sensor. Converted the results to lumens.

I bought this product for hunting and it does exactly what I need. I was able to walk from the ATV to my hunting locations in complete darkness with no issues using the green light and even came within 30 yards of hogs and slipped into my blind unnoticed. After I was done hunting I hit the regular light to full power and it worked out to 100 yards as advertised and I felt safe walking out. I will never keep it on for more than 30 minutes or so at full power so I am not sure about it dimming after long use. I've only used it twice since I just bought it but it does exactly what I need it to do.

So I purchased the same headlamp to replace my ancient Petzl that disintegrated. I honestly haven't used it much as I was pregnant when I got it but my husband would "borrow" it. He had an older BD that was the most powerful on the market when he purchased it but this was brighter and longer lasting than that one. (I don't remember what he had previously.) So, in order for me to not lose my nice, new headlamp, I got him this one for Christmas. We primarily use these for night hiking/snowboarding, camping trips, and for getting down from the crag after a day of climbing.

every time I turned this device on it would start bright and auto dim to almost zero light at lowest setting after 3-5 seconds. I initially thought it was to do with brightness memory and wasn't programming it correctly, or a fault. However, after watching lots of instructional video then scratching my hea, I realised the battery level indicator was at 30%. The supplied batteries were almost dead. Added some rechargeable batteries and is now working perfectly. Great light, love the green/red/blue light choice to help with night blindness. Super bright!

I hike a lot and especially now in winter - often in the dark before dawn.The Black Diamond headlight is great - bright, well-made and robust. I like it's solidity and features. I actually like the fact that it uses regular AAA batteries instead of being rechargeable - it's not always easy to find a place to recharge lights that have built-in batteries while it's easy to carry a spare pack of AAA cells on a long hike.Some people might find it slightly heavy, but I'd far rather have that than a lighter, flimsy unit.

This product is everything that I wanted out of a headlamp pretty much it's got all the features you could want plus a great battery life as well I actually prefer changeable batteries over rechargeable just because if it dies in the middle of the night you don't have to worry about recharging it just change batteries the overall feel is really solid and good quality for a great price honestly I barely even notice it on my head take a second to used to but definitely nice once you do

I have only tested the headlamp at home. Works fine. Eneloop pro AAA recharges in use. Quite satisfied with the light intensity and the beam forming.No overheating issue jet. The controls are intuitive, even though the inlet is inaccurate as for the light programs. It makes you believe that the long range and the perimeter light when combined can be dimmed. Well, it can't. This mode works only in full energy - turning the darkness into daylight. Satisfied customer.

These days, when you can find online promises of 1000lm or 10,000lm headlights & flashlights, it's refreshing to see that Black Diamond holds its own. With 375lm, this headlight, as I suspected bested one from a less reputable source, which boasted of having 3000lm.Pros:design,weight,light power (lm@max)the touch to max proprietary ability to skip directly to maximum power.super easy to operateprice - bang-4-buckCons:none so far.

Love this head torch!! have only bought petzel in the past but due the cases always getting cracked thought I try black diamond as I've heard good things this really isn't much bigger or heavier than the petzel head torches it even fits in the petzel round case result!! It is the brightest head torch ive ever had just make sure you take spare batteries when out in the woods .the tilt function is a little stiff might be because its new

Works very well for use camping and also most of all I use it for working on vehicles and small motors after dark since I am an amateur mechanic in my free time.I really like the different color settings and the white light is very bright, plenty of light to see even difficult things like nuts and bolts. Sometimes it is easier to find a dropped bolt at night with this headlight since the metal reflects the light.

I was very pleased with this purchase. Very well made headlamp with q comfortable band. Has big white light, small white light, and red, green or blue small light. If you hold the big button you can dim white lights, all the way up to both at full brightness. Can also set colored lights to flash if you click small button twice, good for distress call. Battery indicator lights on side are also good feature.

A really nice balance between being compact, sturdy, waterproof and bright. Various multicoloured light and colour options and takes a bit of learning before changing modes becomes instinctive. Overall with out being a specialist head torch this one is ideal for everything and small enough to always carry. I love it from everything form night kayaking to car maintenance and indeed own more than one!

Bought this lamp for use in mountaineering and in rescue work. Checked so far only at night, under normal conditions. The light is good, bright. At the highest power, about 100 meters shine. I hope for a long service of this product. Of the minuses: a little big, heavy. And in brightness it shines like Black Diamond Spot 325. If I knew, I would have cost less.

Love this lamp! It was recommended by Brian Call of Grittybowmen. I started hunting in the western US last year and was disappointed with my headlamp. After doing some research I decided to go with this model. Love it. I don’t even notice I’m wearing it. Great flexibility with the light configuration and the ability to dim or brighten gradually was huge.
