Attempted to open the battery compartment to acces the battery to remove the plastic tab for the latch to shear clean off. I haven't been able to use this item and can't find any way of reporting this back to Amazon to look at getting a replacement. You would think the latch would either have a fail safe or be much harder wearing. Very disappointed.
