I have been using this chalk for a few months now at my local bouldering gym and it has performed admirably for me. It sticks to my fingers well, it provides excellent grip, and in the 300g bag, it is very cheap. I use a lot of chalk and I have probably only gone through 1/3 of the bag.I will note that this is a pretty chunky chalk, which I like, but some others may not prefer. My climbing buddy complains that this chalk isn't as soft as the chalk he uses. My response to that is that if you are performing an activity that involves grabbing and applying your full weight to hard, rough surfaces for an hour or two, how is the softness of the chalk even a concern? I just break the crumbles up with my fingers,

The YMCA doesn't much appreciate the chalk but I do! If you are wondering about how long this will last you, I bought the 100g bag and used it consistently 3 times a week. After two months I have used about 25 g of it. 100g should last me around half a year. I will probably try a new type of chalk after this is gone with but I definitely have had a positive experience with this chalk and will be buying the larger bag. Doesn't dry out your hands as much as expected, and definitely is a calloused hand's best friend.

Not sure if I should even be giving this four stars. It's not bad and better than gym climbing chalk but wasn't nearly as soft and smooth as some of the nicer chak I've purchased. also definitely there is moisture that has entered the bag before I purchased it which means there's a bunch of lumps. I won't be ordering it again but it's not a terrible product I also might have had a bad batch. The one I ordered was very inexpensive so I cannot complain for the price.

I use this chalk for rock climbing. I put it in my chalk pouch inside my chalk bag. The chalk comes both in large solid chucks and as powder (exactly what you would expect). But is also not very tough to break apart into powder.I don't have much else to say....its chalk. I enjoy using it. I dont know any differences between chalk brands any types but I know this chalk does what I need it to do.I will buy again when I run out

I've used Bison chalk all my life and decided to try this stuff out. Its not quite as fine as Bison chalk, and as a result, I find that it does not provide quite as much friction, nor does it seem to last quite as long. For weightlifting, its completely fine, but for rock climbing, the minor difference is noticeable. The packs come with lots of chunks in them, which is really neither good nor bad, just up to your preference.

Great chalk, but don't worry too much about buying these major brand names. This is magnesium carbonate chalk, just like most of the others used for grip. Magnesium carbonate is magnesium carbonate, there is no fancy special ingredient added to make one bag or block work better than the others.The chalk came loose but very lumpy and served its purpose well. The bag it comes in isn't too great and ripped under the zipper.

It is chalk, workss exactly the way it should and as all chalk does. I know this probably won't persuade anyone one way or the other, but chalk is chalk. I will say the shipping was very quick Nd the product performs exactly the way it should. I use it primarily for weight lifting and a little goes a long way. I have yet to climb and use it, but I suspect it will perform perfectly there too.

I love chalk! It's so versatile for the different activities I like to do. If I'm weight-lifting I rub some chalk onto my hands it helps me not lose all the skin off my hands. If I'm bouldering or rock climbing, it's the same thing. The bag has lasted me for a few months now and I do share it with my partner. I say it's worth it!

I've bought this product twice, at first it was great! When I bought a second bag the chunks of chalk seemed to be harder and the chalk didn't help my sweaty hands as much as I wanted. Although, it's the climber that makes the climbs, and seeming how vigorously I've climbed, 300G didn't last me too long.

This is hands down my favorite chalk, always my go to option if its available. My hands sweat all day long so come climbing time I really rely on my chalk. BD white gold really performs, unlike Metolius super chalk I've found. Great for refilling chalk balls or using as loose chalk in your bag.

I use this chalk to climb in a gym multiple times a week and it works well and lasts a long time. It's a little grittier than I like, so if you like finer chalk this might not be for you! But if you like it a lil chunky this is perf. I got the biggest bag and it is taking forever to go through!

Bought as an Amazon add on to refill my Friction Labs chalk ball. Such good value! You get so much chalk for next to nothing! Will last me ages and is nice quality. Seems as good as the Friction Labs Unicorn Dust I was using before. Better than the standard cheap chalk shots you can buy.

Needed pure chalk, got pure chalk. Bout all I need to say. Comes with half clumps half pure grains. I was able to crumble the clumps easily. Dries hands and holds like a charm. I guess that's just Black Diamond quality! Also, great deal to just jump up to the 300g. Don't settle for less!

I bought this to get a stain out of my granite. Made a paste of this and hydrogen peroxide and covered the completely dried, sunk in strawberry juice stain, then covered the paste with plastic wrap. 2 hours later I checked and stain was gone, mixture wiped right off. Awesome!

The chalk came packaged as seen and was fairly inexpensive. I use this stuff on nearly a daily basis for power lifting and some oly lifting and have been quite pleased with it. I've never had bad chalk before, so I generally just purchase based on the price/shipping.
