I have a loved set of Komperdell poles that I wore out the tips. These fit. Here is how to replace.1) heat the old tips with a heat gun (a blow dryer will work) to soften them and pull them off. you will still have work them of (I used a twisting motion but not from the handle)2) heat the new tips to soften them and slide them on, don't try to force them by jamming the tips, they will fold. Better to use a jig that allows the pressure to be applied at the flare (the screw on basket stop) and seat it as best you can.3) the tip will seat completely as you use the poles or you can accelerate the process when the tip is cool by bouncing the pole on a hard hard surface (granite works).

I was a little concerned that these would not fit on my poles because there is so little information out there regarding pole tip replacement. these fit perfectly and were on my poles in a less than 5 minutes. I'm glad they came as a package of two as they were longer than the original pole tips so i had to replace as a set. haven't used them yet, but as of right now I am very satisfied.

I picked these up to replace the tips on my pair of well worn REI Komperdell Carbon trekking poles. The carbide tips provide the trekking poles with amazing grip on rock and probably ice as well. The carbide tips are easily unscrewed and replaced with a pair of pliers which was the main selling point for me.

Easy to install -- boil water, put the bottom of your poles in boiling water for two minutes and they slip right off. They are showing their wear pretty quickly after a couple of months of 3/4 long hikes per week. The proof will be how long they last

I'm a hiker on a budget and couldn't afford expensive trekking poles, bought these to myog by attaching them to graphite shaft golf clubs. They worked perfectly last year on a 10+ mile hike and will get used this weekend for 20+ miles.

with this and the Columb removable rubber trekking snow/mud disk baskets I was able to repair my trekking poles, I had three sets if varying ages that had all worn down tips. I will never need poles again :)

Put on BD z-poles to replace the stock tips. Be careful when inserting the pole into the new tip while they're hot from the water, I bent a pair of mine (doesn't appear to affect overall strength)

It's the second pair you bought, this one for a friend. I have installed them in my canes for almost 2 years and I can say that the tip has not suffered any wear yet. I recommend them.

I needed snow baskets for a hike and neither of my sets of hiking poles would allow me to install new baskets. Changing out the tips was easy- just follow the directions.

I used these replacement tips to make my own lightweight trekking poles!! I glued them onto golf club shafts then added foam grips. So far so good. They work great!!

worked fine - much cheaper than letting a poll be destroyed - I don't get how those little carbide tips can show next to no wear after hundreds of rocky miles

Easy to put on my older black diamond poles. Nice that these were replaceable since you can not find replacement spike tips for the older models!

Excellent tips. The one long tip that allows you to stick even in areas where shorter tips are constantly slipping. I recommend it.

Great product to extend pole life. Directions for removal of old tips were perfect; installation of new tips was even easier.

Instructions were clear and easy to follow, heat it up, slip the old one off, put the new one on, bam! Works like a charm.
