Oh well, that it shines, that would have somehow expected. As good, noted today. Whether you really see something in wet, unlit terrain with the lowest setting (without moon, so completely dark) - well, I do not think so, especially if you move a little faster, it would have to walk in the foot. But if you do not necessarily choose the full power but just below, then it's bright enough. I make my old LED lamp properly disposed of, so big was the difference. At first I found the luminosity regulation and the gaze function not very intuitive, a toggle switch might be better, but it works that way. There is still a lock function, but the switch-on button is really very strict to use,

Great little head lamp for the price. Uses 3 AAA batteries and feel almost unnoticeable once worn. There multiple brightness levels that can be switched by pressing and holding the power button. There's negligible drain on the battery even when off and left in storage for a while. The only down side is that the battery compartment isn't sealed, so water can get in if you're wearing it in wet weather.

The last time I had to use this, we were coming off a long trail - 12 hours of daylight, tired and beat up... Pulled it from the bottom of my pack where it had taken a beating throughout the trail - lit up like nothing ever happened... Couldn't ask for more from a headlamp - worked when I needed it and showed us the rest of the way down the trail. Thanks BD!

Bought this to mount on my 3 y/o son's bike helmet. It lasted through wintertime going out on the bikes every day, usually in rainy conditions. The ratio of battery life to brightness is suprisingly great. It's also easy to use (the button toggles betweeen on/off). Used it in a cave recently and it was perfect. Couldn't expect more from 18 USD.

I wanted to LOVE this lamp, and, I did really like it. It just seems really dim. It was okay getting around camp at night and lighting my tent, but night hiking with this was more difficult than I intended. I played with the settings, but they seemed to only get dimmer. Still, good light, sturdy, lightweight, and overall pretty good.

Super bright, made by Black Diamond - a company that any outdoor enthusiast can trust. I bought this item after reading a few reviews on headlamps...and its very durable, and i would recommend it to anyone who needs a little light in the darkness....

Lamp works really well. Use it while I walk at night and when doing auto repairs. Dimming feature is not that useful. Battery consumption is good. Batteries last longer than I would have expected. Headband is the one downside. It’s way too stretchy.

Arrived on time, well-packaged. So far works perfectly. Dimming feature and multiple angles for the lamp are handy. Head strap is strong and comfortable. Love it.

Light is very bright. I bought these for my wife, son, and grandson, who are out in the dark every day in the winter. They say they work great.

I usually buy Petzl and bought this for someone else for infrequent use -- I was impressed by how bright and lightweight it is.

Everything was great including the value. Batteries provided were dead on arrival but otherwise this is a great headlamp!
