Bought this 750GB capacity BIPRA for my iMac Time Machine back up after an older mains driven device couldn't cope anymore. The BIPRA was great in that it arrived pre-formatted - useful as the only instructions are on a small 3" mini disk which won't load in my iMac! (Would have been simple enough to format though through the utilities programme.). It was almost a "plug and play"; only slight weird thing was the BIPRA needed two USB connections for the initial back-up; one provides power and one data I guess - I read this was required for someone else too in another review. Now for regular back-ups it just needs the single connection which provides the data and power. Speed is good,

To augment the frugal storage capacity of my geriatric Mac Mini and to avoid prising the poor thing open to upgrade the existing drive and risking exposure to my clumsy fingers, I opted to give one of these a try.It arrived in a small, plain cardboard box and the device is indeed small, although it's not really much different to most other passport sized external drives. The unit itself is reasonably well constructed, the carapace is plastic with aluminum rear and face plates. There are fixing screws at the sides which suggests that you should be able to swap out the drive relatively easily if it ever failed in the future. The rear plate features the mini-USB port, a power port (redundant in my case)

I purchased this hard drive to support my new iMac. I read a great deal about the different hard drives available to support Apple PCs before committing myself to Bipra. They make a wide range of external hard drives and all had a very high review. What persuaded me in the end was the repeated phrase of 'plug and play'. They are very well built, come with all the connectors required (powered through the USB connector) and are silent running. It sits neatly on top of the external disc drive which in turn sits on top of the support stand for the iMac. Very satisfied and strongly recommended.

Arrived a day earlier than the earliest proposed delivery date.Purchased for my son whose i Mac crashed stupendously (Hard drive failure, then graphics card). Hadn't backed it up!Fortunately repaired, and able to recover data, but this is now "insurance"against any future problems.We were surprised at how remarkably small this drive is. Also, very stylish, quiet and unobtrusive.Recognised immediately by the Mac and backup commenced immediately.Now carrying out daily incremental backups.Working very well so far.

My first external hard drive, so I have have no previous experience but I was delighted that no set up was required for my MacBook pro. This is good considering the user guide is provided on a mini CD, which cannot be used in MacBooks and gets stuck inside if you put it in, potentially causing damage! The portable hard drive seems good though and the packaging is nice and small.

Once I sorted out how to get it to work on my iMac it did the job efficiently. There are no instructions which would have been helpful (especially if the user is not computer savvy). You have to go into Systems Preferences, select Backup and then select the Bipra which will be showing if it has been connected to your computer first). Very nice piece of equipment.

This arrived very promptly and once I decided which cable to use I got it working immediately. It's still on its first backup even as I write this. Just over a year ago I paid nearly double the price of this drive. It decided to stop working when it was just a couple of weeks outside its warranty. If this is still going in 18 months I shall be pleased.

This hard drive is brilliant. It arrived well packaged and came with a little case to pop it in. The hard drive is super light, connects to my mac easily and i am so pleased with this purchase. I can't give a long term verdict on it, but it seems like a lasting, great quality hard drive. §

I love this. I'm so glad I bought it. Works well with my MacBook and I can easily go back through different back ups using the time machine. Unfortunately I bought this AFTER everything got deleted by accident so I immediately looked for a cheap and effective external harddrive.

love the neatness of this great little hard drive and so cheap.would recommend this to anyone with a lot of photos and videos, I much prefer a physical hard drive than a "cloud" maybe I'm old fashioned...

Bought this hard drive to store original footage recorded and finished edited film. So simple to use and huge storage capacity which takes the strain off my mac. Product was delivered very quickly.

Item arrived on time and was as described. Plugged it in to my MacBook Pro and followed the onscreen instructions. Had to swap discs via Time Machine. Was backing up within 1/2 hour of arrival.

Quick delivery. Plug & play (I have a Mac) works like a charm. Very portable & unobtrusive. Fantastic bargain. What more can I say? If you need an External Hard Drive - this is the one for you!

Absolutely perfect - worked straight out the box. Stangely, unlike other HDD I've bought, this actually had the capacity advertised too, which is great.A real bargain!

A small external hard drive, with a big capacity, that fits neatly on the stand of my iMac and it was easy to install. Too early to asses its long term reliability.
