These eggs are well made with no seams as they are wooden and smooth. They are only very slightly smaller than a standard egg. This is no problem whatsoever. It is also a bonus having white and brown eggs as others on the market seem to be all brown. My granddaughters all love them and play with them more than a lot of other toys! They are used for treasure hunts, cooking and sometimes just holding, as there is something comforting in that. My 3 year old granddaughter has spent a couple of hours transferring them from egg boxes into bowls and back and carrying them around in a little shopping bag or basket. I keep a few empty different coloured egg boxes for her to play with too.The eggs come in white standard egg boxes anyway. I purchased a dozen of these lovely eggs as have many grandchildren. It was money very well spent. You don't have to spend a fortune to entertain children. Things like this and a child's imagination is all that's needed. Very good value for money, prompt delivery and well made product. I would recommend these eggs to others and will use the company again. Many thanks.

We brought these as we thought one of our hens was eating her eggs so wanted some fake ones to help with breaking this habit. The eggs arrived in a cardboard egg box, that broke in half as I opened it the first time, for us this wouldn't be a problem but as this is a toy I would have thought it would last a little longer?Onto the eggs, WOW they are very realistic and i'm sure they will fool the hens, only thing I wasn't happy about was the fact we received 3 white eggs and 3 normal colour eggs, there was no mention of this in the description, but if you look closly at the egg box on the listing you can almost see where it says this, but I would proberly have gone else where if this was clearly pointed out on the listing BUT as a toy this wouldn't be a problem.Overall the eggs are great for what they are and for the price.

My four year-old granddaughter has been fascinated with my large collection of wooden eggs in a basket since she was very tiny. Apart from their play value in cooking and shopping games, she has always loved the feel of them, and also sorting them into empty egg boxes and counting them. When my one-year-old grandson came to stay, he was also continuosuly drawn to the basket of eggs and so I bought this box of half a dozen eggs to send to him. They are strong and tactile and can be used in so many ways to aid role-play and maths skills like counting and making and recognsing patterns. Buy several boxes because the more the better!

This carton of half a dozen eggs is totally realistic and yet very robust. They were bought to go with a toy kitchen, given as a third birthday present to a little girl. At her party all the children played happily with the kitchen and the pretend food we all given her. The eggs bounce happily when dropped and live to fight another day.The box is tough enough to last a while - of course it could be easily replaced with another egg carton. The 'eggs' are made in differing colours and I think they look really attractive. And, I am a lady who keeps hens!

My two year old twin boy and girl love these eggs because they look so real, just like the ones they enjoy eating! The eggs have been dropped countless times and pretend tasted but still look new and unmarked. I also bought a wooden crate of vegetables with the eggs to add to their wooden kitchen collection but they have not taken so much of a liking to them, probably because they do not resemble the real items in quite the same way as the eggs do. Would recommend.

I have previously bought a different set of eggs direct from China which contained 3 solid and 3 eggs with separate yolks. They were fine but bits gradually went missing. Saw these on Amazon and ordered 2 lots. Very happy with the quality and pleased that they are bigger and less of a choking hazard. The size of these are about 55mm long and just slightly smaller than Asda smart price eggs.I am sure my grandchildren will enjoy playing with these wooden eggs.

I don't know why I thought I was getting half a dozen eggs but somehow ended up with a dozen, which is absolutely fine but really should read the small print! These appear to be excellent wooden eggs, however as they are a Christmas gift I cannot submit a 'user' review until the happy day has come and gone! My soon to be 5 year old (just before Christmas!) wants to have her own shop and sell lots of 'lovely things', I think these items will fit that bill!

These eggs have worked wonders. I bought them for my dad after he was told to keep his cholesterol levels low. So every time now he wants to make himself an omelette, he is reminded of the danger of cholesterol by a cracking sound in his pan. The eggs are really sturdy and have survived five applications in sizzling butter so far. I don't even need to mention the educational value -- it's simply amazing. Every pharmacy should have some in stock.

Very durable wooden eggs that have survived the test of time. Lots of fun playing shops, cooking etc. So realistic, we've tricked daddy twice now with his boiled 'wooden' eggs for breakfast! Much better than the cheaper plastic versions. The egg box is less durable and was more or less destroyed in the first couple of weeks of play however, a normal 'grown up' egg box provides an easy and cheap alternative.

Very realistic and well made. Hard-wearing, too. My 2-year-old granddaughter loves these and the paint doesn't appear to chip, despite her trying to chew them, or chucking them across the hard flooring. Each one is slighted flattened on the bottom so that they will stand upright. Beware - the egg box seems quite genuine and the eggs are so realistic you could be fooled!

This simple toy was a massive hit with our three year old granddaughter. Bought as an 'extra' to all the other presents it was the star of the show. She just loved giving out the eggs/ selling the eggs and by the end of the day could work out how many white or brown eggs she would have left depending on how many she gave away. Excellent quality, worth every penny

Got these for my little girl as she loves playing shop at the moment. Great size for her little hands and she loves the fact that it looks like a grown up box mummy would buy from a proper shop! Did read in other reviews that the box wasn't strong , but that didn't concern me as we can change it for a real one at any time. Lovely product.

Our son has had so much enjoyment out of playing with these eggs. Amazingly we still have 6 despite them getting lots of use. The egg box is just about intact too. Really nice toy for youngsters who enjoy cooking and copying their parents. Our son taps the eggs twice on the side of a bowl before he throws them in. Great toy.

They look very real and my 3 year old daughter loves them! It has encouraged her to want to play with real eggs and break them for us when we have bacon and eggs at the weekend. She has lots of fun with them and once when she was about to throw them around I thought they were real eggs and my heart skipped a beat!
