the first of its kind that I had been trying to find for such a long time.. most of the cars in the market had a steering for the namesake.. this one actually has a proper steering mechanism, the kind used in go karts which allows a small turning radius... I weight a 100 kg and the car didnt break down after me sitting on it.. didnt try to push it too much though.. still i am pretty sure any other car in the market would have reached a crushed state like real cars when they're crushed in junkyards.. quality of plastic is good, the 'little secret bin' is just a namesake.. its better described as a mock fuel filler cap rather than secret storage compartment like mentioned everywhere online..

I bought this for my 2 visiting grandchildren (boys) of 3 year olds along with a pedal tractor and a little ride on motorbike for the 7 year old. All wanted to ride the Bobby Car, probably because it could be steered. I am considering buying another for the one grandson to have at home. It was easy to put together, grandpa did it, and is very well made as one would expect and hope for in a German made toy. Would definitely recommend its purchase. It is called the 'new big bobby car' I do wonder what the previous one was like. It was delivered earlier than I had expected which was great.

With 2 boys we have had plenty of ride-ons but this was introduced to me by a German friend and I bought one straight away. All the kids love it, it is simple but fun, durable and doesn't damage the house! I love the way that kids can ride it in 3 different positions and I think it will be with us for a long time. It is quite expensive but I think it is worth it and it is lovely to just buy something that is a great design and quality and not full off useless gimmicks.

One of the absolute classics of German toys! Generations grew up on their bobby cars. This one is the new version, with a bit more style than the former one. It is my son's favourite means of transport since he was about 1 1/2 (he got it for his first birthday but then his feet only just reached the ground and he could only go backwards). If you are searching for a ride-on toy, get a bobby car, you won't regret it.

My three year old is absolutely obsessed with cars and steering wheels so he absolutely loves this car and is never off it. He loves the fact that he can also reverse park on this car unlike his other cars he has got where the steering isn't quite right. It has a petrol filling cap and a horn. This is very sturdy and is still in one piece after lots of bashing about. Would definitely recommend.

Both my boys love this car, I had not heard of the infamous Bobby car when purchasing it, but then looking on the web found lots of interesting videos from Germany with Adults using the Bobby Car in what appeared to be a commute?Very tough and well made

I LOVE this car!! However,it's for little grandson s first birthday next month, but we're sure HE ( and his 3 yr old brother!!!) will love it too. We have the NEW BIG BOBBY,and it's not TOO big for a 1 yr old.

Wow, such a great ride on car, bought for 12month grandson, but the two older siblings haven't stopped playing with it as well, just wish I'd bought one earlier. Yes it's expensive but well worth the money

Has been played with by children ranging from 1 year to 5 years and is a great toy.Steering is easy and body is robust.The wheels are quiet on laminate flooring and haven't scuffed the floors either.

I was very pleased with the build quality and its simplicity. It is in use every day and our three year old son loves it. We bought the trailer to go with it and the little key that makes noises.

Bought for my grandson who is two years old.Very study and will be great to use outside in the summer. He has the trailer as well and lots of new play ideas are developing.

Lovely little car, the steering wheel is a bit loose so needs to be secured properly. Got a trailer separately from John Lewis which is also very good quality.

Very sturdy ride-on car. My 3-year-old, almost constantly sitting on it...I'm starting to wonder if she's going to use her legs for walking again!!

Who would not love a good old bobby car. Every child should have one. A fun toy for children from 18monbthsd to 5 years

The best ride on we've ever bought, we have 3 children 4, 2 1/2 and 1 and they all get great enjoyment out of it
