This pack of 8 markers comes well presented in a thin plastic case. An assortment of colours is supplied, and by and large the colours in the product image are the colours the ink comes out in. Although in a few cases the colour is duller. The pens themselves are a good size and simple to hold, and the lids are easy to detach. Writing with them is fine, with the nibs being well designed for thin strokes (good as I only have a small whiteboard and lots of things to write on it). The ink itself, however, does have a rather strong smell. Not like most drywipe markers though, but a strong chemically smell of bananas. This is not something I'm a fan of,as the smell is fairly overpowering - the instant you remove the lid you can smell it and all the time you're writing with it that's the only thing you can smell. I think I'd just prefer the natural, weaker, smell of the ink. All in all, a good, functional product, just a shame about the odour.

Keeping a daily schedule for variable days can end up wasting an awful lot of paper so for my home office I found the perfect solution in a whiteboard and the BIC Velleda whiteboard markers. These pens have a medium tip which works well for my size of whiteboard whereas something like an A4 sheet may benefit more from a fine tip. They are comfortable to hold and write with being thicker than a ballpoint pen and the range of 8 colours lets me colour coordinate easily. The pens wipe away easily although I have found the darker colours can take a little more effort if left on the board but this can also depend on the surface. I have a thin whiteboard sheet I use on the go and find the markers harder to rub off that.Overall though, I'm very happy with them. They do what I want, good range of colours and well inked so it doesn't look like they'll dry out too soon.

Very good quality for the price. The 'fumey' smell reported in other reviews is not very bad. Definitely not as bad sharpie smell. Personally I don't really mind it. Initially the pens did seem like they were not very vibrant and almost felt dried out, however after writing with them for a bit the ink began to 'flow' and they became much nicer to write with. with my usage so far I have not noticed any wearing away on the nibs.*Edit* So the fumes smell that I apparently didn't mind is actually very strong especially when I'm revising with my door and windows closed. Still doing great ink wise however I recommend using them in a well ventilated place. Also pleasantly surprised by the nibs on the pens. They're still exactly the same as they were initially. Firm and retain their shape.

This set of 8 board pens contains a good selection of colours (the purple is my favourite), although as a classroom teacher, I'm not finding the yellow or orange terribly useful because they don't show up enough for students to be able to read what I've written. The points are quite fine - if you prefer a slightly broader tip, then you may want to look elsewhere, but I quite like the finer point - makes my writing look neater. I've used these pens for a few weeks now and no problems with them running out so far. If you are in the market for a set of board markers (particularly for children to use because of the wide range of colours), then these are worth a look, but be aware that the tip is narrower than some.

This pack of 8 brightly coloured board markers which are thin enough not to be difficult to hold but thick enough to produce a line that can be seen from a distance. This BiC Vedella have lids that are easily removed but not so easy that they would come off in your pocket or by accident. The ink, while not as bright as the pens themselves, comes off easily from the whiteboard. The only negative points are the packet, which is just a plastic wallet and no ideal for holding the pens in longer term and the smell which may put off some. Despite this, these are great set of medium whiteboard markers in a nice selection of colours.

These markers from BIC are medium all round really - size, price and quality. They give a line width of 1.5mm and use ketone ink which has quite a strong acetone smell when the markers are new. The eight pens provide almost a complete rainbow of colours and should be suitable for many everyday low to medium use applications. The ink erases quite easily from a conventional white-board but will soak into paper or the like. If you need to use reasonably priced multi-coloured markers then this BIC Velleda range would be a good option.

This pack of Bic whiteboard markers contains 8 coloured pens (black, brown, green, blue, purple, red, orange and yellow) with medium (2mm) tips. These are great for children to use on individual dry-erase boards but are too small to be used for demonstration by a teacher in a larger classroom setting. The pens have a strong odour of nail varnish which may be off-putting for some.

Only used red colour so far to mark my son's work on the whiteboard. Easy to wipe off with fine tips. I would give these pens five stars but there one star is for that funny smell. Every time when I using it my son comes near me to smell it and says yummy. I could say the smell is really strong other than that is fine.

These are ideal for the children to use on our dual use reversible whiteboard/ chalk board, that we picked up from Aldi a few years ago for under £30.The tops are easy to put on and take off - now you just need to remind them to put the lids on.A rainbow of colours should give these 8 markers a long life.Perfect.

This is a good pack of pens, and the black, blue, red, green and purple show up brilliantly and are really strong colours. The yellow, brown and orange come out rather pale, they are ok for close up work but not if you want to read them from a distance. Great pens and the ink lasts for ages.

The new facility I work at has white walls and yet there are never the proper markers available. So I got my own. These markers are just the right thickness and easy to hold. No greater compliment can be given than that someone nicked them out of my draw at work.

Bought these for weekly menu plan on fridge so didn't need very bold writing and these are fine for job. They do give off quite a lot of 'fumes' on use but guess that's what makes them suitable for whiteboards and wiping off.

These are very good pens. Maybe a little thicker in nib size than I would have preferred, but no big deal. Great, clear, bright distinct and varied colours. Great value for money.

18.10.2020

I much prefer these pens to the thicker markers I used to use. They're very clear on the whiteboard and seem to last just as long as the chunkier board markers.

They do the job I bought them for. They however don't last long without the cap on so it is always important to recover them when not in use for a few minutes.
