I found nothing more depressing as a child during the Summer Holidays than signs saying Back to School. As soon as you stepped out of the school gates, it seemed like they were ready to push you back in. Now as a parent I can understand the need to think about back to school as early as possible, not only because you want to get rid of them, but also there is a lot to prepare. This is especially true if you have a child on the way to secondary school were they are going to require more of their own equipment.The ‘BIC Student’ pack is a good catch all for any person taking on a year of academic endeavour from 11+ to University. The pack contains more pens than you are probably going to need,but it is very useful to have spare. The standard BIC black ballpoint it represented and this has always been a good slogging pen. You also get a pack of different colour ballpoints and a trio of those pens that you can click one of four colours. These were always my fave growing up and you get three of them! Finally you get a set of highlighters that are actually normal pen size. I found these more useful than the traditional chunky highlighter as they fit better into a pencil case and do the same thing.Although it is great to just grab a load of stuff in bulk, the lack of choice in this pack is telling. It would have been nice to swap out some of the black ballpoints for a different BIC product – whitener? The pack is a good price, but the savings are not huge if you buy separately and you may want to buy different stuff. For the consumer who just wants to grab everything in one go and be done with it the ‘BIC Student’ pack is a valid shortcut. A cannier future student may spend a few minutes buying exactly what they want though and still save money overall.

As you will have seen from the pictures, this set contains 10 black ball point pens, a set of 5 ball point pens (one each of black, green and red and two of blue), 3 multicoloured pens and a set of 5 highlighters. There is nothing particularly outstanding about any of these products and I'm sure that most, if not all, will be familiar with them.The 10 black ball point pens are probably one of the most familiar sights throughout the country (except in my office, where a decision has been made to use something fractionally cheaper but which breaks as soon as you pick it up) and probably for good reason too. Whilst it is not a pen that is hugely comfortable to write with for long periods of time (which is borne out by even messier handwriting from myself),it is strong and reliable and its reasonable rare that it has to be disposed of, prior to the ink running out. In the event that the ink does run out, they are apparently refillable but given the cost of the refill, combined with the fact that I have no idea how the existing cartridge should be removed, it's probably best to treat it as a disposable pen.The set of 5 coloured ball point pens are exactly the same as those which have been described above, with the exception that the set contains one green, one red and two blue versions, along with another black pen.The multicoloured Bic pen has been available for a long time now and most people will be familiar with its function i.e. being able to write in either black, blue, red or green, with a single pen. This is a great kit. There's enough here to see a student through college (as long as they don't get lost or 'borrowed'. I particularly like that the mainstay of the pack are black biros, much better to read and look at compared to blue. The individual red, green and blue pens are useful of course, but I do rather like the 4-colour pens which I find very useful when taking notes, particularly if I want to make key points stand out with a quick-click colour change; better than a pen-swap (and I'll lose the caps) or masses of underlining that means nothing when I look back at my notes.The highlighter pens will be useful to some, but I've developed a hatred of them over the years mostly because of finding library books wrecked by lazy people with highlighters.Either way, there are five and they don't dry up within minutes of the cap being left off!Apart from the student going off to college I think this pen set is rather like a confectionery box of chocolates, either keep them all for oneself or divvy them up amongst one's children, family etc.It may be possible to save money by scratching around but I do like the 'solution in a packet' approach.

Very good value for students, or just anyone who needs a lot of pens. You do pay a slight premium for the brand name over the type of pens found in your local discount stationer's, but the added convenience of an all-in-one pack offsets this somewhat.Anyone who has ever used a BIC ballpoint pen will know how they write - the ink is a bit reluctant at first, but then generally runs smoothly with only the occasional blob. This is the case with the black Crystal pens from the pack of ten, the pack of five crystal pens in various colours, or one of the three four-colour pens with retractable nibs.The highlighters are chisel-nibbed, so can be used to write, underline or go over text as required,but are in no way exceptional - apart perhaps from the nib being slightly finer (1.6mm - 3.4mm) than those found on chunkier highlighters of the sort produced by Stabilo. There are 5 in the pack - yellow, orange, pink, blue and green.

If you loose or lend (without return) it's not the end of the world. The value of this set and the long lasting and reliability of Bic makes this an obvious choice.The pack comes in one neatly wrapped set, with each product in its own individual packaging (see main image), making it a great single gift or one to divide.You get: x10 Black BIC, x4 BIC Mixed Colour Pens,x3 BIC Multiple Choice Pens (less cool than they used to be in traditional blue and white plastic but still very useful) & x5 BIC Highlighters.

This is a great value set that would be indispensable for someone heading off to college in the autumn. The four colour ball pens are a particular favourite both with teachers and students because you've got the convenience of having all four colours in one pen. You've then got a mixed bag of red, green, blue and black along with a larger bag of clear BIC pens. The BIC biros are classic for a reason. They last for ages and write really smoothly. I love them! You've also got a set of highlighters here which are in nice colours and wide enough to be useful in highlighting normal size print. All in all, if you are looking to stock up your pencil case for September,then this would be a very good place to start.

Billed as being a student pack, this is an economically priced bundle containing the standard, ubiquitous BiC biros, three BiC pop up pens plus five highlighters in an assortment of colours. Like many households in the land, there is never a biro far from hand, and most of them are by BiC as over the years we have found them to be reliable, and not prone to failure.On a sum of parts basis, this pack represents reasonable value and I particular like the three pens with retractable points, as they each have four ink cartridges on board - particularly useful if you are writing a piece where you want to highlight a point by using a different colour. overall, what’s not to like here!

A good selection of BIC pens and markers and ideal for a family especially if there are children of school age. Comprising mostly ballpoint pens it Includes plenty of black pens, a couple of blue and a single red and green, as well as three multi-colour pens each with red, blue, black and green. All the pens are medium, 1.00mm. Also included is a set of brightly coloured highlighters which can make both broad or narrow marks, 3.4mm and 1.6mm.My only reservation is that there is little if any saving to made buying these items in this combined bundle, so unless you really want everything included here you are better off buying what you really want individually.

This is a nice set of pens and highlighters which would be ideal for a student starting school or college in September. The packs of biros (one pack of 10 black and a pack of black/red/blue and green) are very basic and not particularly robust, but they do the job. I love the four-colour pens but have some concerns that the little clips you press to change the colour seem a bit flimsy and may not last. The highlighters are thin but the colours are bright and they cover well.I'm not sure of the value of buying them in a set like this as it could be possible to buy the individual items for less.

This is pretty much the only pen set you will need.It has covered writing pens with the ultra reliable original bic biro, it has covered highlighters with the bright multi coloured pack of 5 and it has covered the different coloured pens needed for underlining etc with both the 4 in 1 pen and the multi coloured bic biro pack.... again these are long lasting, ultra reliable and comfortable to use.Being a "cheap" pen you have the freedom from worrying about someone "borrowing " it and not returning, losing it, dropping it etc etc and so they are ideal for school/college/university.

This is a great set of pens and highlighters for a great price. For £10 you get a 10 pack of black ballpoints, a second pack of mixed colours (Red, Blue, Black and Green), a 3-pack of 4-in-one pens (I've always wanted one of those!) and a pack of highlighters. All of the pens included are of the high quality you expect form a company like Bic and at a price like this it's really hard to find anything to complain about. Excellent value pack, worth picking up before we get into the back to school "sales"...

A great option for back-to-school or university.The pack includes 22 pens in total: 10 Black BIC Cristal pens, 4 BIC Cristal Assorted Pens (in black, blue, red and green), 3 BIC 4 Color Pens (black, blue, green and red inks) and 5 BIC Highlighters in bright colours.The selection isn't fancy, but it's a selection of reliable pens that will last through another year of study!

I an a great fan of stationery and have found that over the years the BIC brand is hard to beat. This selection is fantastic and great for students or even teachers. I love the 4 colour pens as they are very handy. The normal BIC ballpoint pens seem to last forever in my experience so looks like I've got plenty to last for a while. The highlighters are brill too. I'm delighted with this pack.

This pack is really good value for money - there are so many BIC pens for such a relatively small price. The pens are well made and pretty much guaranteed to work until they run out of ink. They write smoothly and feel like good quality in your hands. The pack is fantastic to start the school year or term with and will last most of the year if well cared for.

You get the following:- 1 pack of 3 4 colour pens- I pack if 5 highlighter pens- I pack of 5 colour ink pens- 1 pack of 10 black ink pensThis is more than enough for any student or anyone wanting selection of pens. it would only have been better if it came in a pencil case!
