I bought this for my husband who recently had major spinal surgery but that for the last few months has been suffering with being very cold at different times of the day and night. It not only heats him up and keeps him warm whenever this happens but also the heat reaches all his extremities so that he can sleep, so the timer function is fantastic! It is also portable both around the house and he can take it away with him too, but it also means that even when I'm broiling in the warm weather I'm not getting any of the heat either! Win, win! Can't recommend this heat pad enough it's been a God send for him! Thank you

This heat pad does exactly what its meant to. Its really soft and padded, the controller is easy to use for the 3 heat settings and the large led display makes it easy to manage. The only downside is I found the heat pad a bit too small. As I suffer from artritis it would have been perfect if it was a bit bigger to set across both shoulders or knees ( my painful areas). But it is really good for smaller areas, or to soothe a sore tummy etc. In general this product is well made and easy to use .

Whilst the majority of reviewers praise this Heat Pad, one or two said that it was not hot enough. So, I purchased it anxious that it would be unable to provide a sufficient level of heat. I have a spinal injury and cannot retain heat without an external source. Thankfully this product proved to be hot enough and is very warm, but not scalding next to the skin. Better than a hot water bottle, it does not make you perspire nor lose its heat. The 90 minute shuts-off boosts my confidence in it too

Unfortunately the first one bought was faulty and didn't heat, so that was very disappointing and caused inconvenience. This is perhaps a rare problem but the longevity of the item is still naturally of concern, therefore it should be retailed for less. Would have preferred a darker colour (charcoal grey etc) and a cover/case to make it more practical. All things considered, it's a recommended, very necessary product for many people of all ages, so please keep stocking a variety of heat pads.

A super soft heating pad, 13x17" which is compact and easy to use. Advised to set on maximum setting - of which there are three - and it heated under 10 minutes. It also has an automatic switch off function. The lead is 8ft long so you would need to be near an electrical socket in order for it to be used. Ensure that the pad remains flat whilst in use. Awkward for certain areas of the body due to lead but lovely when in a straight position, great for lower back area. Would sponge clean only.

This Heat Pad is a good size ((L 44 x W 33 cm) and has about a 2m cable, a push slider controller located part way down the cable, just push up or down to select heat setting. (You need to plug the cable into the socket when you take out of the box).The pad is very soft and It can be washed.Used on my lower back and reduced the pain, on heat 3, it is a nice heat and not too hot directly against the skin & Heats up quick and maintains the heat well, would recommend and has a 3 Yr Guarantee.

This is a good heat pad but it would be better if it got a little hotter, hence the four stars. The 90 minute turn off function is really useful especially for when my mum, who is in her nineties, uses it. The controls are nice and big and easy to operate, another bonus for my mum. The material is nice and soft. It can even be machine washed to keep it looking like new. Unlike some other heat pads, you cannot feel the elements through the fabric which is great. My mum thinks it's fab!

This was bought to replace a worn out one. I don't necessarily use it on sore muscles (though it is great on my bad back), but I use it simply to keep warm when sitting watching TV. I feel the cold a lot despite having the heating on, and I can just pop this on (which is at my back) and it warms me up a treat. You can also cuddle it if you want ...... When visiting my daughter I take it with me as I'm always cold there.A great purchase and would recommend anyone buy it.

I bought this product for my husband who is seriously ill. He said the only place he felt comfortable was in our car which had heated car seats. This pad has worked wonders and was just what I was looking for.The controls are easy to manage and it warms up very quickly.There are three temperatures available and at the moment he is using the lowest.This purchase was delivered within two hours of placing the order. I would not hesitate to recommend this product. Thanks Argos.

This is a great soothing heat mat really helps my arthritic knee joints as the heat seems to just melt the pain away . Very easy to use and it's not cumbersome and hard to store when no in use, the three heat setting is ideal for the purpose, I imagine it would be a good comforter for crampy tummies as well,It's made from lovely soft fabric as well with a good length of electric cord so your not stuck at the power point , it could be a little bigger.

I suffer from back pain and have used the pad whilst lying down in bed and sitting in the armchair. It heats up really quickly and distributes heat evenly throughout the pad.The adjustable, easy to use heat settings allow you to find your own comfortable temperature, with the added bonus of a 90min safety shut-off feature.This flat lightweight pad, made of a soft fleecy material, makes it a much better alternative to the bulky hot water bottle.

This is second heat pad from Argos, the first one lasted 3 years and to be fair I use it every day because I have no choice. 3 years is a good time for one to last as my previous heat pads lastest 6mths. They are really hot on temperature 3 but number one is a nice heat for sleeping. The dog is also highly impressed with the product cause if I move she jumps in my chair. You won’t be disappointed with this product.

I have waited before writing this review to ensure I gave it the credit it deserves. Such a simple concept that does its job fantastically well. With 3 timed heat settings it makes the bed superb in those cold winter evenings.. It is small, not much bigger than a standard hot water bottle but it's performance is incredible. No need to panic about how fast it will warm up... just 5 minutes and it emits full heat.

I have had this heat pad for about a month now. I find the heat pad is very easy to use. Just push the button on the control panel to what number you want it on from 1 - 3. It warms up nicely with in a few minutes. It has a safety cut out after 90 minutes, so it isn't left on for hours. It is just the right size to warm parts of your body up. It feels lovely and soft as well as it doesn't need a cover for it.
