Choosing a boot is quite difficult for me as I have mortons neuroma. That's if I wear shoes that are too tight, a nerve pops out from under my foot and I have excruciating pain. I've bought several pairs of other boots which were OK in the shop and as soon as I walked outside they caused a problem. With this brilliant leather boot, the width is perfect and there is more give than with a sewn tech fabric. I wore them in the house first with the knowledge I could send them back if they didn't suit, a good advantage of buying online. After a few days I ventured on a walk and my feet were fine. I've since been on some long and muddy walks, all perfect. I'm so grateful to have such great boots as it means I can now get back to walking again.

It's so wonderful to find my much loved Brasher boots alive and kicking under cover of the Berghaus brand. Apart from the Berghaus badge, they are identical to my orginal if now battered old Brasher Hillwalkers. Thankfully this is also the case with the men's variant which I have also bought for my husband. Both size 7 in the women's and size 9 in the men's seem true to size. We both find them snug, but in a good way, with the fine interior tailoring so nice that you don't need overly thick socks. For both of us, they have hit the trail with no breaking in whatsoever and without issue. These are very fine boots!

This boot is a good fit for my size 8's. I was a bit wary buying them without trying on, but no worries, especially as i measured my feet properly before purchasing. They offer good support, the ankle part is comfortable, and the soles seem to be non-slip as they were tried on some muddy paths. They seem to be waterproof so far! I took out the insoles provided to put in plantar fasciitis insoles and the boots still fitted fine and no chafing after first walk. Very pleased with them. Let's hope they last, but so far: highly recommended!

My previous walking boots were still going strong but had gotten a little too slippy for what I needed. I therefore decided to buy these boots. They are incredibly comfortable, light and have great grip which was a huge improvement from my old boots (which I had for 17 years!). Looking at th sole construction I can see why other reviewers have experience issues with longevity of the boots, but I think my expectations are well managed based on reviews. If these last me around 2 years with regular use then I think I'd buy these again.

Put these on and they fit like a glove, no end to wear them in they were comfortable straight away. I have recently had cheaper pairs of walking boots but it's definitely worth paying a bit more money for quality. I am off to the Lake District next weekend and they should get a real test them. I had a pair of Berghaus boots previously that lasted me 15 years, wish I'd bought another pAir straight away rather than waste money in the cheaper pairs.

These are my favourite boots, owing to the shape they do not aggravate my achilles area which I find high fitting ones do. They are also really comfortable for my wide feed. I wear them literally every day so I do go through these much more quickly than someone who only wore them for weekend hiking. Even having them for 10 or 12 months at the price and daily wear - work, dog walking, weekend hiking - I find them to be really good value for money.

Read lots of the reviews and decided to go half a size bigger than my running shoes (because although I don't have wide feet, they are square and so narrow toe-boxes often cause problems). Fit was perfect, no blisters (well one, but it was on the day when I wore ridiculously thin socks, so that's on me not the boots), excellent ankle support, and the waterproofing held up through several creek crossings.

I had been looking at some other well branded boots for a while, but when I started reading reviews on Berghaus products I took the plunge and ordered these instead, and I can honestly say they do not disappoint. Excellent fit (I have broad feet) and these are so comfortable, Ordered a half size up from my normal size to allow for thicker hiking socks. So glad I made the switch to Berghaus.

These shoes are lovely and they fit snugly. Maybe a liiiiitle too snugly, but they might give way eventually. They passed the ultimate test of wlaking in high wet grass for two hours, they are perfect, especially in sustaining my failing joints as I suffer form hypermobility Syndrome and strong support but also lightness of shoe are essential. Worth every penny.

Ordered 1/2 a size bigger but found my toe nails hit the end of the shoe, and they were slightly too narrow for my foot, my small toe was being pushed into the next toe. I dont know what width these are, I prefer a wider fit so the toes are not forced together.Not sure if the next size up will fit.The shoes are lovely and light weight and well made.

Excellent pair of boots. Look smart and fab quality as you'd expect from Berghaus. Very light and very comfortable, didn't need breaking is, wore them first time and did a good walk in the Lake District, where I live. Didn't rub my feet or ankles one bit. Great grip on a variety of terrain. Would definitely recommend them. 100% satisfied.

Had to go up half a size. Normally a size 5 but could feel my ties touching the top of boots, but going up half a size was perfect. I've tried various boots and always ended up with blisters. Wire these first day for 8 miles. So comfortable and not a single blister or rub. Well worth the money. Very happy with these boots.

I have always bought Berghaus walking boots , as in my opinion for the price they are the best , and these boots are no exception, no need to wear in comfortable from the start , very lightweight with good grip even in very wet conditions , I would highly recommend these walking boots .

The boots arrived very promptly. They look very well made and good quality and the fit is good. However, they seem very hard. I would like to know if they soften up. If I am told that they don't I might have to return them as they might not be comfortable for long walks.

Instantly comfortable, easy to put on and hard wearing. Frankly the best hiking boots around. I had a pair of Brashers (kidnapped and chewed by a fox when left outside!) and these replacements are like having old friends back!
