I was concerned which size to buy as I could not find where the measurements 40cm & 45cm were from and to in the description but finally decided on the L/XL Long. These measure 45cm from the front hook to the top and 42cm from the heal to the top at the back. Thankfully they fit me perfectly with the top sitting above my calf muscle but below the back of my knee. Previous gaiters I have had always tended to crumple down when I was walking unless I over tightened the top but this was uncomfortable. These are much better with the top sitting at the narrower part of my leg above my calf muscle. I have only just received these well packaged and within the delivery period given and are of good quality so I am sure they will be great.

I'm a 5'7 woman with what I'd like to think are not tree trunk sized legs. But after reading other reviewers suggestions that people get a larger size than they normally would I went for the L/XL. Glad I did... these gaiters fit snuggly but they're a nice slim fit with no flappy bits sticking out that other gaiters have had. However I thought (perhaps mistakenly) that these were gore tex mainly because in the table (see above) which lists different gaiters berghaus offer these definitely state gore tex. But nowhere on the product or the info that came with the gaiters does it state gore tex... Others might be more in the know but I was under the impression that they were goretex.

These are very well made from quality and hard wearing fabric.They have the hook to go on laces, the strap for under the sole of the walking boot, and a velcro fastening up the back.I find these to be excellent when walking though deep mud or very wet moorland.They protect walking trousers from mud and getting very wet.They also stop bracken etc working down into my walking boots.I am very happy with these.My only gripe as others commented it talks of the additional spare straps on the packaging but these were not included, but that is an issue with the seller, rather than the Gaiters so no stars have been deducted.

They do the job but I still don't really like them. I use them moutain biking to keep stones and mud out and to stop nettles and roses from being annoying but given a choice I would have stuck to my 40 year old canvass Berghaus gaiters with a zip up the back. What I find fidly is the velcro, it nevers seems to fit properly with the button at the top not lining up. That's progress I suppose but I doubt these new gaiters will still be working in 40 years time.

Good purchase. does what it says. The colours are quite different in reality...they look like a shade of grey and green but in reality are just one shade of green which was a bit disappointing. I could still have them tighter on my leg...but I have very skinny legs...they are pretty neat on me so thats fairly good. ! Ive used them one on a hike the hike was in Ireland and extreme bog lands and they kept me dry!!

I ordered the small medium and they fit me perfectly. I'm 5'6" with thin legs and they were snug on me... They held up well in extreme snowy conditions and very wet conditions the following week. Easy to adjust and put on with the velcro fastening and so far, durable and robust. Very pleased with my purchase.

Bought these to do the notoriously boggy Lyke Wake walk in February. I stayed dry whilst my companions did not! 40 miles of Yorkshire moors didn’t defeat these so that must be a reasonable proof that these are very effective. Snug fit but not uncomfortable and waterproof. Easy to put on and remove.

If you think your a medium. Get a large. Very small made, mine are tight fitting. I was going to send them back for a size up but I needed them for a week on the hill, so just made do. Very good quality product and well made. Just a bit tight on my calf.

Yet to be used but tried on and for nice and snug round trousers and boots,one of reviews mentioned the Velcro straps could be an issue I can't see it tbh. Only time will tell it is berghaus after all. Will update if they are an issue.

Yes, you can get cheaper gaiters but these are far superior. the material does not crease up so they don't hold onto the mud and are easier to clean. My wife does a lot of walking and loves them after having other inferior products.

Arrived very quickly, good fit, I'm 5 foot 11.Only time will tell about the vel. fasteningPackaging said spare underfoot strap included...NOT SO!!...plus no idea how to get replacementsNothing comes up on Google so lose a star

Good product, served me well at a festival for protection from mud after a few rainy days but they are a very snug fit around the leg, plenty of length but very tight fitting, to the point were it was a struggle to close them

I am in a walking group and was always having to wash my pants after a walk due to mud round anke. These gaiters are easy to put on and take off and fit well. No more dirty trouser bottoms. great

Great product works a treat over 500 miles walked, river and bog resistant. replaces £10 pair I bought that fell off after 15 minutes walking one they got wet and muddy couldn't use them again

Velcro adjusts the depth of the gaiters. The width is snug, but they're supposed to be to keep out the rain / snow. Wore in 3ft of snow and very happy. Crampon shield was much appreciated.
