Primarily looked at this monitor because it had a flicker free backlight and IPS Panel.The flicker free backlight does make a difference to my eyes, with much less strain on them as compared to the previous 27inch ips screen I tried.The screen is a light matt finish which lets the colours shine through while keeping the glare away and the colours where very nearly correct straight from the box. Unless you need a professional level of colour calibration no adjustment was necessary.Movies and games look superb with no ghosting.Good range of connections on the back but no HDMI. It does have DVI-D, Display port and vga audio in and headphone jacks.Internal power supply is handy as no power brick

This is a great monitor. It has the unique combination of:* 24" 16:10 aspect ratio* DisplayPort out* No pulse width modulation* IPS* "Normal" matte finish* No backlight bleedI was after an IPS/PLS monitor that had a finish like my old TN monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 940B) and this monitor has that. Other IPS monitors have a glossy, grainy, sparkly, or cross-hatch finish.The eco sensor - a feature which turns the monitor off if you aren't sitting in front of it - works well.The eye protect mode - a feature to adjust brightness based on ambient room light (higher brightness for brighter ambient light) - works but I tend to use monitors at close to zero brightness and the eye protect mode makes things too bright for me.I also like the stand and bezel.

I bought this monitor for my home office. I split my work between working from home and working in an office. In the office I have two reasonable 24 inch monitors, which do the job. But oh my, the BenQ 27 inch makes such a difference at home. In the office I occasionally have to wear my glasses but at home on the BenQ I can see everything perfectly without them. I also love all the wizardry that it has to look after my eyes and the adjustable height and tilt. I don’t really use the sound, and I have only had the monitor for 2 months so can’t comment on durability, but I can say that it looks and feels well engineered so I don’t have any concerns. A great product.

Very easy set up and liked the way you can easily adjust the screen from a horizontal to vertical position. Stand is very solid. I'm no expert in displays but I have found it easy on the eyes, which was my main purpose for buying as I spend a fair bit of time using a screen during the day. The thin bezel is also an attractive feature so more of the whole product area is taken up by the screen, and overall it looks very smart. I currently use it attached to a i7 laptop via hdmi cable with the laptop running a Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M display card and I am quite happy with the solid display, contrast and colours.

BenQ BL2780 27 Inch 1920 x 1080 IPS LEDDoes what it says on the tin. It's a monitor, it's big enough.The 1080p looks kinda rubbishy compared to my other 1440p 27 inch screen, but I only required 1080p for my second monitor. So to be fair, it is what it is. But personally if you are looking for a gaming monitor at 27 inch, perhaps look for a 1440p and free-sync (or G-Sync), 144Hz and HDR.That being said, this one is more than capable for gaming at 1080p and 60Hz.Clear image and I have not noticed any ghosting in everyday use.

This monitor has sound however it is not supplied with an HDMI cable. Also note that if you intend to use an HDMI cable, you first of all have to connect with the VGA cable and then change the output to HDMI!! For me this was very annoying as my laptop doesn't have an HDMI port so I had to purchase an adapter to do this!! But now that I am set up, this is a very good monitor.

Only in use a month but no problems so far.Esy to set up and connect.Well worth going to a bit of trouble to get an 8 by 5 ratio monitor. It may not seem much different from the typical 16 by 9 but it makes a big difference when working and web surfing. (I use a separate system if I am watching a movie, where you do need a wide aspect monitor)

Excellent piece of kit...good size 24inch monitor that is clear and sharp. It has height adjustment which is great without the need to use books to make it higher as well as tilt in different angles to suit.The monitor came with HDMI cable and UK 3 pin plug.Nice product for the money...well spent.

Bought for working at home, linked to my laptop. Suffered with back/neck & eye problems previously due to prolonged computer use but this is amazing - the image is so clear and really easy to adjust height & tilt - I’m asking work to get me one the same.

All good. Great screens work on them all day - no issues. Good to carry to other offices when I'm freelancing elsewhere - nice carry handle on rear. great resolution and colour matching. Arrived promptly.

I love this monitor, I have another BenQ next to it and this one is actually so much better.The brightness, clarity and slim edge design looks great.And fantastic service, thank you.

Really good mount, quality of body and image - I use it as an 'office' second screen whilst photo post processing on my other screen - well worth buying.

This is an excellent monitor for your eyes. My eyes used to be irritated when using the old monitor, but with this one I don't get that any more.

Bought asa general purpose screen (games, films, occasional work!) for my son at University. Looks really nice - amazing for the price.
