My iPhone X normally nestles in an Apple silicone case which is great, very comfortable to hold but doesn’t show the space grey rear face which is a bit of a shame. This new rigid Belkin SheerForce Elite has a clear back which, as the attached photos show, allows the iPhone back to be fully visible. The photo doesn’t really do the case full justice ( blame the iPad camera!) as the colour of the black case perimeter strip works very well with the space grey of the iPhone....certainly not a match but complementary. The silver case offers a complete contrast ( see photos) and would be ideal with the silver iPhone X but it is all down to personal taste.A couple of caveats....the clear back doesseem to show up fingerprints and smudges and they are unfortunately easy to spot against the highly polished iPhone rear face. Be prepared for a lot of cleaning if you want to keep a perfect appearance! The other proviso is that the clear back will lie flat on whatever surface the iPhone is sitting on. Belkin claim it is scratch resistant and in a day of trying to induce scratches, it did stay remarkably scratch free but I would be very surprised if the plastic could avoid damage in sustained normal use. I am keeping the case on my iPhone X to see how it stands up to everyday use and will update this review if there is any obvious damage sustained.The bumper strip sits proud of the iPhone front,ideal protection for when it is laid face down even with the added thickness of a glass screen protector as my iPhone has.The case does add a little bulk compared to a thin silicone case but the level of protection would undoubtedly be superior. The materials used appear good quality with a pleasing touch and appearance.The mute button is easily accessed and the volume buttons also work perfectly thanks to the well designed buttons on the case itself that add to the premium perception of the design and construction. Lightning socket and speakers are also fully accessible and, as you can see, the case allows use of a front screen protector. In this instance, a Belkin tempered glass unit but please note a screen protector is not supplied with the Elite case. I would however strongly recommend giving your precious iPhone X the protective combination of a good quality case such as this and a screen protector,All in all, this is a good, stylish case that justifies its cost with the excellent design, fit and materials used.

Having recently acquired an iPhone X at the start of the year I was keen to keep this scratch free and protected from bumps, scrapes and falls as much as possible: so when I was offered the opportunity to test the Belkin SheerForce case I was eager to give it a go!Being clear, it shows off the back of the iPhone case nicely while protecting better than traditional "bumper" style only protectors. The black perimeter bumper might not sit with some colours so nicely, but it matches my black iPhone perfectly. Other options are available as you would expect so that you can either match or provide some contrast for your phone.This bumper is raised above the the surface for the front of the phone,helping to protect from scratches when placed face down if you do not have a separate screen protector. It is however not raised at the back, instead sitting flush with the clear plastic cover. So far however the back has resisted scratches as claimed by Belkin, but it is only a matter of time before this will start to show some wear! For the front, I have now opted for a screen protector as well. For my previous model I never used one, and found that the scratches when they occurred where minor but due to the expense of the latest model I am not taking any chances!The bumper of course does add a little extra thickness to the phone, but is rated for a 1.2m drop. When I broke my last iPhone it fell out of a top locker, so probably a good 1.5m fall. It unfortunately just caught the corner of a bench, which even a case like this can not protect against, so do take care still of the grand's worth of phone in your pocket!All previous cases I've used have left the original buttons exposed for use, as well as holes for the speakers, camera and charger, so was intrigued to see how the buttons moulded into the case would work. These all work much better than I expected, providing a responsive action when pressed.So, overall a well made case that is a solid choice when it comes to protecting you new iPhone from drops, bumps or scratches.

As soon as you get this out of the box the amount of protection it offers is evident - it's a very structured & rigid case with no real flexibility to it at all. I'm sure you could stand it on it's corner and hit the other size with a hammer and it wouldn't flinch.This protection does come at a bit of a trade-off for general look and feel - it's much bulkier than the standard Apple cases. The bumper is very visible and very noticeable in the hand, and a complete turn-off for me for day-to-day use in the office (for instance). The back is also a fingerprint magnet, and when coupled with the reflective glare you can barely see what the back of your phone looks like in anything but very dull light.Also,the lip at the bottom makes it slightly frustrating to "swipe up" and evoke the action(s) the home button previously took care of. A complete frame case wasn't an issue when you just had to press a button at the bottom of your phone, but now you need to actually press and swipe from the bottom <5mm of the phone this does get in the way a bit. I'm sure you'd get used to this in time, and all the other buttons & port accesses are suitably ergonomic.In short, it's not attractive, or entirely pleasant to use. But it will protect your phone. You have to decide whether or not that suits you, personally I trust myself enough to stick with my Apple silicone case in day-to-day life, but will perhaps change to this if I'm going hiking or somewhere I'm particularly likely to drop my phone from a height.

This is a great looking phone case which really shows off the beauty of the iPhone X while at the same time protecting it.The case has a clear back, which looks like it's made of premium plastic, with a silver edging and then cream coloured bumpers. On my black backed iPhone this provides a great contrast and the bumpers are thick enough to protect the phone from drops on the side, front and back as they stick out.Even though they're large, the bumper edges never detract from the look of the phone, though they do add slightly to the overall size in what is already a wide phone, so be careful if you pop your iPhone in your pocket.Raised volume and power buttons on the left and right feel really tactile and although the recess for the sleep button is deep,it's still fairly easy to flip it when needed. Holes at the bottom for the lightning port and speakers are well made and don't get in the way, though do be aware that they are also fairly deep so may not work with some docking stations which require you to plug the iPhone in.Wireless charging works perfectly with the case on, I've tested it with several wireless stations (a Samsung dock and an Amazon bought stand).Overall very impressed and they could only improve this by finding somewhere to store a credit card as well or by providing a stand.

This case claims to protect the iPhone from drops of up to 1.2 m. Whilst I have no intention of deliberating putting my own iPhone X to this test, I managed to inadvertently conduct a1.5 m test of the Griffin Bumper Case for my iPhone 6 by dropping the phone onto a train station platform. I am pleased to say that the Griffin case passed with flying colours as my iPhone 6 was unscathed.Like the Griffin case, this features shock absorbent material in the bumper together with a raised edge to protect the screen from scratches. The bumper material is easy to grip and not too slippery in the hands, which should hopefully prevent another train station incident.It is easy to push the buttons as these are precision engineered and make good contact with the buttons on the iPhone X.I have now used the case for the past 2 weeks and haven't had any problems so far with either case or Belkin ScreenForce glass screen protector. I will update this review if any problems occur in future.

However they also look beautiful in the hand.To prevent unwanted scratches or marks most people invest in a phone case.While a case might seem like a simple thing, there are loads of elements to consider:Will it add lots of bulk?Can I still use the headphone socket?Can I get to the fingerprint scanner with ease?Does it look aesthetically pleasing?Is it ugly?I've tried a few covers as we have a selection of phones in the family. If you like a bumper-style case that cushions your phone around the edges and protects the back while adding minimal bulk and weight, this is a good ‘un.It fits my iPhone X perfectly, stays put and yet slips off easily enough when required. It makes the phone easier to grip, and the raised edges protect the screen if the phone is face-down on a flat surface. The corners are well-padded – I tried dropping the case (without my phone!) and it bounced. All cut-outs are in the right places and the push-through buttons work well, as does cordless charging. Scratch and UV resistance are welcome.You might want to add a screen protector unless you dislike them as much as I do.Between the current £29.99 price and the slight rainbow effect in the transparent back,I’ve decided to deduct a star, but you probably can’t buy better.

Belkin us a famous name and this is one of the better polycarbonate covers available, offering full port access and a high degree of impact resistance. In fact the phone is going to break long before this case it, it's that tough. It's not particularly fancy, but it does show off your iPhone really. well and has an expensive, quality feel to it. This is the only case I've seen that offers UV protection, although I'm not sure how important that it for an iPhone (if at all).The camera is unobstructed, as you would expect from a Belkin case. No complaints overall, although I would prefer £15 to be the RRP, £25 seems a bit much for a functionally basic case.

Fits nice and snug, not dropped the phone in the case yet, nor will I unless it's accidental. However, the case doesn't ruin the overall aesthetics of the stunning iPhone X too much which is the main point of the case in my view. Protection is good but you still don't want to splash out on a fancy device and hide it away in an ugly case.All the functionality of the case works perfectly and the phone slips inside with ease, easy to remove too. Overall very pleased with the case and it's not scratched too much yet either.

No problems in terms of interference in charging or Wi-Fi or anything like that. The case is easy to fit and all the buttons work fine. I was fortunate/unfortunate to actually drop the phone during the test of this product but fortunately it worked well. The material seems to be very resilient and impact resistant. Not sure how it will be in a year or two as these materials tend to harden and become less flexible over time but by then you're probably upgraded anyway.

This case was perfect for my iPhone X. I tend to be the clumsy sort and the phone hits the deck a few times a month – but no harm or damage has (yet!) come to it thanks to the case. As well as protecting the glass back, the case protrudes in front by a few millimetres so that if you drop the phone face down you don't shatter the screen. On top of the above, it allows you to charge the phone wirelessly through the case (if you have a Qi-compatible charger).

This is a superb cover from Belkin, as I have been used to. It really is terrific.What I really like about Belkin are the instructions and the fitting process, which is detailed and clear. The online videos are an essential watch.If you’re spending so much on a phone, the least that you can do is put a premium protector on it, and this Belkin product is that protector.

The 'glass' is crystal plastic, and the black rim makes this look a lot nicer and more slick than other see-through cases out there. It sits pretty slim on the phone, and is solid and thick and seems to protect well.Overall, very impressed. It's pricey but there are a lot of cheap cases out there that just aren't the same. I'm very happy with this.

Protection for your svelt iPhone X is a necessary evil. But this is a very nice case. It adds a teeny bit more bulk than my previous Apple case. However, it allows visibility of the back of the phone which is a bonus. Apple spend a long time getting the aesthetics right so a see-through case is probably the nicest way to go.

This is an expensive case, but well worth it - the bumpers protect from drops and it's easy to fit and not too bulky.Works with wireless charging and adds a bit of anti slip to the phone. The back of the case can trap a bit of dust over time but a quick clean out sorts it.Recommended as a good way to protect your phone.
