Tempered glass screen protectors add a welcome layer of protection for your iPad touchscreen but they usually detract from the oleophobic coating that the original screen has. In my experience very few protectors have fingerprint-resistant coatings that are half as good as the ones Apple apply to their touchscreens - but this Belkin ScreenForce protector is at least as good and maybe even slightly better. Of course you’re paying for it and the full retail price is a bit crazy but you do get just about the best glass screen protector around. You also get a handy applicator tray, this arrives with the screen protector already in place, held by a film ‘hinge’ and ready to apply.Basically all you need to do is clean the screen on your iPad so there’s no grease or dust, you get a micro fibre cloth and a dust-removal sticker to achieve this. Then flip up the protector and place your iPad into the tray beneath, then peel off the film protecting the bottom of the protector while flipping the protector down again and onto your iPad. The protector, being fairly rigid, applies itself to your screen as you watch and you shouldn’t have to do much while this happens. The applicator tray means your screen and protector are kept perfectly aligned, always the trickiest bit, and with luck you’ll get it applied first time. To be honest the included instructions are a bit vague and I found it really helpful to watch the video on Belkin’s website first. Once you’ve applied the protector you peel off another protective film that’s been protecting the work surface of the protector and it’s tricky to do that without peeling back the protector too - you have to tear through a plastic tab to release it. Apart from that the process is much easier than most and I got mine on first time with no fluff, dust or finger marks at all.The finished protector covers the whole screen apart from a keyhole shaped hole around the Home button. This leaves more clearance around the button than most do and I’m not sure if I like that, you’re more aware of it when pressing the button and it creates a little ledge dust collects in, but it’s a minor issue. The protector covers the front cam completely but doesn’t appreciably affect the clarity of the video. The other edges are nicely rounded to give a neat look and feel but the edge around the Home button feels less bevelled and sharper somehow. Best of all the screen resists most fingermarks as you work but those it collects just wipe away with a single swipe of the (supplied) microfibre cloth. For that alone it’s almost worth the price because for once you don’t feel like you’ve compromised the quality of your device by fitting it. It really costs but it’s really excellent.

As screen protectors for phones go, the biggest two problems are air bubbles (caused by trapped dust) and getting it aligned on correctly first time (readjusting then causes more air bubbles). Now imagine this amplified by a much larger surface area, and then you see the issue of a tablet screen protector. For best results, I generally get the screen protector at the same time as the tablet/phone and then put it on from new. This means the screen is cleaned and minimises dust. When not possible, I usually end up getting two packs of screen protectors and sacrificing the first one (it soaks up the dust). Again this is not possible since it comes in a pack of one...So out of the box,you get one screen protector, and a plastic template to put the ipad into. This template is great and takes away 90% of the fiddling around to align up the screen protector well. So that is a great bonus and does make it far easier than all the budget options which come without. If your ipad has had any usage, then you will need to wipe it very clean using the supplied cleaning pads. You really want to find the room with least dust to do this or have an vaccuum cleaner near it constantly sucking all the dust away (though just check it isn't actaully causing more dust to settle). You'll need to do all this before you attempt to remove the plastic covers off the screen protector, since you really only get one shot at this! (once dust gets in, it's a complete nightmare to remove)...So once you're happy there's no dust around which would settle on the screen, then you can use the template and apply very carefully, accurately but quickly enough dust doesn't get to settle between the protector and the ipad screen...Once fitted it is a great quality protector, and you hardly notice it is there at all.The big down side is the cost. It costs around 4-5 times the price of non premium brand alternatives. So you don't get the template but the others are specced to the same thickness etc, so assuming their claims are correct, this makes this seem overpriced.Pros- Very easy to fit due to the template- the protector is high quality and you hardly notice itCons- Very very expensive

I've used Belkin's screen protectors for my iPhone and never had any issues with them, so decided to get one for the iPad Pro.As usual, the screen protector comes attached to a plastic tray which is used to align it with your iPad, an easy way to install it compared to other cheaper alternatives. You also get a cleaning cloth and a dust remover included in the box. Once you've placed the iPad in the plastic tray, screen up of course, you give it a clean with the cloth trying to remove all marks and dust. If there is any dust left then use the included dust remover. The trick is to be incredibly careful not to let any dust fall on the screen after you've made it spotless, this causes air bubbles and why lots of people have problems. After that, it's a simple process of removing the backing to the screen protector and folding over and into place making sure that it's perfectly aligned. Couldn't be simpler. You may need to give it a good rub all over and in certain places with the cleaning cloth to ensure that it sticks all over and to push out any pockets of air.Two things do let it down slightly. The first is the cutout at the top of the screen protector for the Face ID camera array, it's a tad unsightly and just looks a bit odd. I'm assuming that this is needed as the cameras and other gizmos won't work through the glass to scan your face. The second is the gap around the outside edge of the iPad. It's only slight and some screen protectors don't all go to the edge of the device to make it compatible with cases, which is probably the case here. I don't plan on using a case so will have to live with it for now.Another thing to mention is the cost, at over £40 this isn't cheap! That said, after you've spent a small fortune on the iPad itself why cheap out and buy a screen protector for a few quid that you'll undoubtedly have issues with. Whenever I've used Belkin screen protectors they've lasted the life of the phone, you buy once and it lasts a long time. So is the case here, the £40 odd is an investment in protecting one of your most expensive possessions and not something to cheap out on.

So I use Belkin screen protectors for all of my tech, in fact I have the equivalent model on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Considering the screen protector for the iPhone is £29.99 (from Apple) I winced at the price of the iPad Pro screen protector, but, having used the products before I trusted that it was a worthy investment. Most of the reviews here on Amazon are via the Vine programme, so thought i would write a review as a ‘normal consumer’ who has paid the full RRP (not a dig at vine members, just an expensive mistake when parting with hard earned cash!).Having cleaned the iPad screen several times, once with my own cleaning products/micro fibre and also with the enclosed micro fibre and dust removal stickers...It’s imperative that the screen is absolutely clean before trying to install this expensive piece of hardware! The installation process is made as simple as possible by Belkin, the tray aligns everything perfectly and if you follow the instructions the application is pain free. The pain will only occur if the screen is not PERFECTLY clean before trying to apply. Having personally done this several times in the past, I know how important this is so i spent plenty of time cleaning/polishing the screen. When you think its clean, clean it again, then just before you begin the application, use the dust removal stickers to remove any left over particles of dust. Clearly, few of us have ‘clean rooms’ that are dust free, but choosing the least dusty room in your house will be beneficial. Now the protector is on, the cost feels irrelevant. The finish, fit and feel are perfect and the toe curling cost of £40+ feels warranted as i know my screen is now protected from day to day wear and tear, and can be wiped clean at the end of the day.I really like to look after my kit and although this is a seriously expensive product (for effectively a piece of tempered glass/plastic) i am happy and would pay the price again... Which hopefully i wont need to anytime soon!

The phone version of the Belkin ScreenForce TemperedGlass Screen Protection for iPad Pro 12.9 saved my phone a few weeks ago. I was loading my car to go to the tip and dropped it face down onto a pebbly road. I was overjoyed the screen protector took the hit. So the change to add one to my iPad was something to jump at.Having ordered a phone kit and fitted it recently I was familiar with the process - and it is the same process just scaled up for the biggest of the iPads. The first step is opening the tray that guides the fitting to put your iPad. This is step one of the 5 steps in the instructions; I went a bit rogue as I have had my iPad for coming up to a year now.I deep cleaned the screen starting with a liquid cleaner; then a Zeiss screen wipe before starting with the sticker. In the box there is a microfibre cloth and a residue free sticker to get the dust off - I needed to be rid of fingerprints. It took two passes to get the screen protector over the screen without any air pockets. The instructions recommendation of peeling back the sticker as you go didn't work very well for me. Repeating it with pressure on the edges glass let me cover all the screen with one small air pocket remaining - and its invisible when the screen is on.Everything still works with the screen protector; my pencil and Touch ID. Though the touch id's notch isnt protect - just like it isnt on the phones. The glass itself is very thin and bar the bubble with the screen off you don't notice it.For the pencil the lack of texture remains; so nothing has changed there :)I was definitely influenced to try this as a result of dropping my phone. I'm not as likely to drop my iPad face down onto a road as my phone; but it does spend a lot of time with me on the road; as its easier to carry than my laptop so that extra protection is worth the piece of mind of being out of touch on the road.

I doubt whether many people rely on or read the warranty that is supplied with products like this Belkin iPad screen protector, partly because there are so many words, many of which don't apply to the UK, and partly because the font used is so tiny it's not practical to actually read them. I was intrigued because it mentions the limited lifetime warranty on the outside of the box, but this only applies to US and Canada, while the rest of the globe - that's us in the UK - get a 2-year limited warranty. The first thing it says is that the warranty is only provided to customers who buy the product from Belkin themselves or Belkin Authorized Resellers. Now I guess Amazon qualifies as such, but I wonder whether other sellers on Amazon also qualify? One of the reasons I'm focusing on Belkin's warranty is that it's one of the ways they differentiate themselves from other manufacturers - you can after all buy a similar tempered glass screen protector for your iPad for around a third of the price of this Belkin one.Another feature of this Belkin screen protector is the plastic tray and associated system to try and place your screen protector squarely in the right place on your screen. You only really get one attempt at this and I could only say I was moderately successful in getting my position correct. The other problem with installation is avoiding dust under the protector and again this was only moderately successful. I don't know if I can blame Belkin for this. Supposedly if you do the installation in a humid bathroom this reduces the amount of airborne dust, but that's not particularly convenient in my house.Generally speaking I've been happy with this screen protector, it has lasted well on my iPad, works with my Apple Pencil, it's just very expensive.

from Vinman666 on 01 August 2019Quite easy to fit, virtually invisible but very reflectiveThis screen protector comes with an alignment tray to assist in the application but the instruction diagrams are quite poor. There is a link to the Belkin website, alas to a page that doesn't appear to exist, but the article can be found by searching on the site. I had linked to it but Amazon don't accept links to third party sites in reviews. The protector is applied by placing the iPad in the tray and then folding the protector over (after peeling off the cover). This works quite well but the 'hinge' for the fold is quite loose, so some manual alignment is still required to avoid overlapping the edges.I had one annoying dust spot in the middle so had to very carefully peel it up and use the supplied sticker to remove it. Given that this is a large thin rectangle made of glass, you need to be VERY careful when lifting it to remove dust or it could break in the middle if too much force is applied. After applying it is very smooth and has no adverse affect on the sharpness or colours of the display. The Apple Pencil worked without issue and finger taps or swipes were as effective as before. The only issue I found is that it is very reflective. Trying to watch a film with lots of dark scenes while commuting on a bright day was a little frustrating as I could see my own reflection more clearly than the footage. This can be a problem with the iPad anyway but not to this extent.

Much like several others, my first reaction when I saw this on the Amazon product was "You're avvin a larf". The price! This may be 3 or 4 times the size of a screen protector for a smartphone but it's also 3 or 4 times the price! No such thing as quantity discount here. I'm sure Belkin would say, however, that these are much more tricky to manufacture than their mobile phone baby siblings. It's tempered glass, you see. The best you can get. So if you're looking for something that will really look after your iPad's screen, this needs to be given serious consideration. The instructions are good and make the important point that you must give the tablet's screen a really good thorough clean using the provided cloth,so as to ensure that there are no dust particles or other gremlins that would otherwise get trapped and annoy you forever. Definitely a job worth taking some time over. Essential to use the alignment tray that is also provided. Once in place it should be bubble free, in my case it's only been in situ for a matter of hours and while it appears 100% clean, flat and straight, you can never be totally sure until a few days or even weeks have passed. I'm very happy with the result but if there's any deterioration (mainly bubbling/lift) I will update this as and when.So yes it's a bit of an eyebrow-raiser in terms of price but once in place on your 9-7 iPad you'll probably agree that it's a worthwhile investment.

I always have a nightmare trying to fit screen protectors to my phone so when it came to placing one on my new iPad it was quite daunting. This kit contains everything possible to make fitting it problem free and easy, just make sure you follow the instructions and it should go to plan. The most important thing is to ensure that your screen is clean and free from dust, I’ve fitted several to my phone in the past and had to put up with dust trapped underneath for months on end.The pack has a really good cleaning cloth and dust sticker included and there’s also a tray to ensure that your screen protector is lined up perfectly for fitting, which is much harder for larger screen, just being slightly off line can really mess up the installation. The glass itself is super thin, almost impossible to tell that you have it fitted and the touchscreen response isn’t affected at all. It’s scratch and scuff resistant so hopefully it will last for quite some time, especially as it’s so expensive.I was slightly taken back by the price but as my iPad was an expensive piece of kit anyway then it really deserves the best screen protector I can afford to keep it free from damage.Definitely one of the best screen protectors I’ve had and super easy to fit thanks to the easy align tray.Hope you found my review helpful.

Well, here we have another extremely well made product but Belkin and this time i have a screen protector that actually works with the iPad!I have had ESR, Techgear and other non branded tempered glass siren protectors and they have all suffered the same issue - Touch response issues! Went through too many and then gave up on looking for the “one” even though i love my gadgets protection more than my kids (Na kidding but its close) so this was a grin and bear situation...Then i was invited to AMAZON VINE to review and a 3 weeks later I found this on the system for review!happy days! So, its well packed, looks lush and comes with all accessories needed to complete the install other than cleaning wipes. No big issue as cleaning isn’t hard. Everything is stamped with the brand logo which is cool. Instructions included on the a4 sized pull out and the template is also a cool touch but needs your input to make it perfect!I did have 3/4 attempts at getting it right as you can just slide it to the top and drop like some phone ones. You need to put effort in to it. Still not perfect due to a few small bubbles but the real point is - Touch is perfect and feels no different at all. Finally - Screen is protected from the pack of kids i own! Thanks Amazon an BelkinRecommended with all of my heart!

We needed a good screen protector for my wife's new iPad 9.7 (the current iPad) and Belkin are always a safe bet when it comes to quality. The package comes in a tray that doubles as a guide to putting the screen protector on straight and I must say, having used both this and the standard method, it works a treat. Where normally we would struggle to get the protector straight (you simply can't lift them again because it always gets dust and bubbles if you do) this guided me right to the exact place I needed to place the protector. It also helps with making the application quick, removing the issue of dust particles being able to find their way back on the screen before you finish applying.Theset also comes with a good cloth that should remove any dust but you do always need to find a room with the least dust particles flying about (for us it's the kitchen table) as even the best protectors will get bubbles if a single dust particle comes flying in at the last minute. The quality of the screen protector itself is great, too, with a very clear, pretty much invisible look once applied and it does work with the pen without any difference. Over-all worth paying the extra for if you want easy application and piece of mind.

Updated review.Amazon got a new item out to me next day so thanks. The instructions are missing a key section hence my earlier review. After part two and before you clean the iPad and peel off the number one film you have to:Line up the whole screen protector over the iPad and then stick it down yourself at the top of the plastic tray. It doesn’t come stuck down for you.Once this is done the next few bits are easy until the end. I had a few bubbles left which the instructions say to just run out. I got the worst of them out but the only way to get the last few was to peel the screen protector back up with a finger nail and then gently rub it all back down.Obviously this all goes against the claimed “easy” self install. The quality of the protector once in place is stunning though and worth the cost. However the next time I do this I’m going to an Apple shop and getting them to install it for free.Previous review:The screen protector has been attached to the alignment tray in the wrong place. Leaves no way to get the protector on properly.Hopefully a one off - amazon sending replacement tomorrow. Will update review then.

One of the best things about this protector is the applicator set which makes lining up and installing the screen straightforward. If you're worried about misaligned installation, Belkin provides a bumper to guide the process. I managed to install mine perfectly aligned and without any air bubbles - a very rare feat for me.The screen itself is good quality, with no apparent detriment to colour or brightness. The stylus continues to work without any additional lag. Of course, this is still glass, so for those who prefer the additional resistance from a Paperlike cover, you will still need to add that on top.You might not want that amount of additional layering on the original screen. The question of whether you need this depends on whether you have any other sort of case/protection on your iPad Pro. I use a protector just as an insurance policy, but I also realised that the Apple keyboard cover would leave key prints on the screen, so an additional layer of protection was useful to me. On the one hand, I should need it, on the other, I don't want to wish I had had a protective layer after I get a cracked screen.

These Belkin I-Pad Pro 3RD Gen screen protectors are really good and one of the most user friendly screen protectors you can buy, this is down to they tray which holds the I-Pad in place and how the protective film is connected to the tray, but you still need to make sure you have a spotless screen before even thinking about putting the screen protector in place, you really need a dust free place to carry out this, the slightest bit of dust or dirt will give you air bubbles (This is on all screen protectors regardless if it is a mobile phone or tablet or even a watch !!) Belkin have included a really good screen cleaning cloth and a dust sticker, and the actual screen protector is tempered glass, this is a quality kit and Belkin have done their best to make this an easier installation, The I-Pad in the pictures I cleaned the screen 3 times before I laid the screen protector on the I-Pad, I can not emphasise enough you need a dust free environment otherwise you will end up with air bubbles, I highly recommend this screen protector kit.

I was luckily enough to be bought a new iPad Pro 11" by my employers for me to use when I am out and about. It is much easier to cart around than a laptop, although I still have to use one of those too.it's amazing that companies - and individuals for that matter - buy an expensive item like an iPad Pro and then don't spend any extra on protecting the screen. This Belkin screen protector is eye watering expensive for what it is, but it is brilliantly made and I have total confidence that it will protect my new toy whilst travelling. The instructions are good and it is important - as with any screen protector - to take time to fit it properly making sure your screen is clean and dust free before fitting. The inclusion of an "alignment tray" is genius and certainly helped me fit the protector perfectly straight and without any bubbles or dust particles.Pricey yes, but priceless if it saves your expensive iPad having to visit the iPad doctor. Recommended.
