The way I see it, there are a couple of inherent problems with the original Apple cables.Firstly, they are too short to be useful. Great if all you want to do is charge/sync your device, but about as useful as a chocolate teapot if you want to actually use your device while it's charging/syncing.Secondly, the build quality is not great. We have numerous Apple devices in the house, each of which came with it's own cable. Every one of these cable has developed the same fault - the sleeving at the device end of the cable splits and frays.Belkin have addressed both of these problems - the 2m length is just about perfect to allow use of the device from the couch while it's charging and the build

These cables are not cheap, but I know they will be of a good quality from Belkin. I needed a new synch/recharge cable for my old iPad which I still use regularly. My old Apple cable has frayed and look worse for ware.I have tried various cheap replacement non-brand Apple cables over the years and many of them return 'that charging is not supported' message and they are usually a bit on the short side in length. If they do work they usually fray or split pretty quickly.This cable works perfectly and is a useful length at 2m. The cable itself is slightly thicker and feels very robust compared to any other cable I have purchased, including the Apple own-brand.

So far so good I've owned an iPhone for over 5 years and I have no idea how many chargers I've gone through its so easy to buy the chiniese made ones for 99p but they break in a week I finally decided to spend a bit more for another 2 m one as the length is really handy but when I saw the metal casing around this cable I knew I wanted to try it as that's the most common part to break first on cheaper versions and when it arrives I was surprised not only is it very well built the cable is about twice as thick as the cheap ones aswell which is great in my opinion it's allready lasted longer then every other charger I've owned bar one that I only use at night so receives much less stress when it

Arrived very quickly great colour hav only so far used to charge my iPod Classic much easier because of ace colour to find the correct lead on my extension sockets looks much much more stronger than original apple cables they stripped down bare to the wires after not even using for a year been thru a few apple cables this is obviously a proper bona fide belkin cable was worried it would not b as seen lots of reports of fake cables passed off as genuine I am getting a new bright orange car end of year trying to work out what the best colour cable to use is to connect my iPod to cars infotainment system via USB

I was so fed up with both the Apple and the cheap replacements breaking all the time (Come on Apple this is undermining your reputation) that I decided to try these instead. I bought two and although I have only had them a couple of weeks they seem much more substantial than previous leads I have used. Here's hoping. I will come back to the review if there are any problems so, if you don't see anything else after this - presume they are still working.

I picked this cable because I had previously owned a 3m heavy duty Belkin cable which was excellent, but I couldn't find anywhere.With this cable I have not been disappointed either, it's not quite as quick to charge my iPad as the old one, but I put that down to the fact that it's not as thick as the other - that being said, it is still fast to charge, and it's such a pretty colour too!All in all, a great purchase that I'm very happy with :)

Needed a cable to charge my iPad 3rd generation. Tried all the cheap ones but they just weren't powerful enough. The iPad wouldn't accept the charge, even through the 10W adapter.So I gave this a try. Excellent. Works perfectly! No problems whatsoever. It's also longer than the official Apple version which is always handy, and the length doesn't affect the charge whatsoever. It's also cheaper than buying the official Apple version.

I bought this to use in the bedroom for curling tongues and hair straighteners. You can see straight away when something is on as the individual plug sockets light up . I bought one previously to put in the bedroom my grandaughter stays in as she is always using hairdryer, straighteners etc and then leaves the room with things still plugged in. I can see at a glance if something is still plugged in and switch it off.

Having bought some much cheaper, long Apple cables and them fail in no time, I knew that I needed to pay a bit more for a quality product.I did just that with this and haven't been disappointed. It's been used most days since it was purchased and works a treat. Some of the cheaper ones won't charge your iPad/iPhone - you'll have no problem doing that with this.Up to the usual Belkin high standard.

A reliable brand and it certainly looks like a quality product. It works well as a charging cable and the extra length provides unrestricted movement. I bought this as a replacement for a previously purchased cable of the same length which initially I found satisfactory but it broke after only three months (different manufacturer, not this brand) so the real test will be this cables durability.

Does the job well, Long, thick cable, looks durable, yet half the price of the apple ones! very satisfied :)would recommend this to anybody who has to stretch over to their phone whilst lying in bed, I can just sit and message my buddies all night and not have to worry about having to get out of bed to put the phone on charge!exactly what i was expecting, I'm impressed, Belkin.

This is less expensive than real Apple product, but as always with Belkin it is a great product. The metal on the connections gives it a quality look and feel. If you have bought connectors at cheap cheap price only to chuck them away, then paying more for a long lasting product could be a better choice. This one is perfect so far, and you save money compared to Apple cable.

Nice.The length is welcome, and nobody argues that it's my lead! Mine a blue!Seriously, these seem to work very well. The standard of construction is very good as well.It fits well without a lot of unnecessary jiggling.IMHO I have found Belkin cables have lost their 'position' as the all round cable leader, but this is a definite exception. Excellent product.

Unlike fakes this charges my phone quickly and it's more robust than the original iphone charger. It also charges my ipod and the price is fairly reasonable since the cable is 2m long. My advice is to always order this type of products thru Amazon directly as many third parties sell fakes which not only do not work well they could also potentially be dangerous.

I bought this for my wife's iPad3. it requires loads of power and lets face the Apple plug socket arrangement is rubbish.We have had so many cables, cheap ones I might add as the official Apple cables fell to bits just as easily as cheap ones did, I decided to try the Belkin great choice I will be buying another one as back up for when we go on holiday.
