This is exactly what I was looking for when I was looking into getting a new car charger. I've recently updated to the Google Pixel XL which is supposed to charge at a maximum 18W (15W if you have the normal Google Pixel) - don't quote me on those numbers though! When I plug it in, it usually says 'charging rapidly' meaning it's fast charging my phone at the full 15W (3 Amps x 5 Volts) however this isn't always the case. I'm assuming perhaps it maybe something from the phone side but it still charges the phone pretty fast at a decent speed. Unsure about other phones as I have no other USB C fast charging phones to check with but I'd assume it would fast charge most phones using the USB-C PowerDelivery system.Nonetheless this car charger is a high quality charger which as far as I can tell is fully USB C compliant. I don't usually use any chargers other than what the manufacturer offers but Belkin are very good, reliable and I don't worry about it damaging my phone! Only downside to this is the cable isn't bound like previous chargers meaning that the wire is just trailing around my car which is a tad annoying but it's not a deal breaker by any means. Good high quality product that I would recommend anyone. You can use the USB C charger for your phone/laptop/tablet as it's universal and fast charging and you can use the USB port to charge your other devices that use Micro USB/Lightning for iPhones so it really is a win win with this charger!

This does a superb job of charging my wife’s Galaxy. I have an iPhone X and am hoping it will work equally well with that but I need a USB-C to Lightning cable and, according to several sources on the www, it really needs to be a genuine Apple one. Amazon have a great price of £21 on the 2m version at the moment (1m is £25) but it’s out of stock. I’m picking one up locally on Monday evening (will get them to price-match) and I’ll update this review as soon as I’ve spent enough time in the car to try it.For it to play nicely with the latest iPhones, the charger needs to offer Power Delivery (USB-PD) support. According to the description on Amazon and indeed the Belkin website, it does, but there’s absolutely no reference to PD on the box or documentation. And nowhere does it suggest that there is any iPhone compatibility. I’ll just have to try it for myself and see how it performs. The current £40 price isn’t bad for a 27W charger, especially a well-constructed one from a name like Belkin, so it seems reasonable value. I’ve deducted a star though, because there’s only one port on the charger. Some competing devices offer a USB-A port as well as USB-C, which is great for powering a second phone, a dashcam or whatever. If that doesn’t bother you, this is a five-star product.

This is an excellent quality product, which is what you would expect from Belkin. The USB-C connection ensures fast charging for your devices - I've tested this with two Android phones, and both charged far quicker than not using the USB-C standard on both ends. The adapter itself is well made and stays in place without jumping around, unlike cheaper products. If there is only one drawback it's that, for the price, it would have been more convenient to include a long and short cable rather than just a long one, as when you are charging smaller devices such as smartphones, you have to tie up the cable to keep it tidy and out of the way.

This is brilliant. I'm always loosing my car chargers so I thought I'd splash out on a belkin and go for the higher amp for one of them. It does what it says on the packet - charge an iPad. Great when you need to go to a meeting and your iPad is low. I took my completely dead iPad and charged it on the way to work - 50 miles, 90 minutes and I had 36% charge at the end of the trip. One word of caution - this is drawing alot of power so I wouldn't use it on a short trip as you do need to give your car battery time to recharge when you get in put the lights on, rear heater, fan, a/c etc and this.

Juicy USB C charger that keeps a Nexus 6P topped up on Fast Charge. Quality cable and firm plug keeps a good connection if the phone goes flying off the passenger seat if you have to brake suddenly because some people are incapable of looking before pulling out from a junction, roundabout or McDonalds drive-in exit. You know the sort. The Green LED is visible in daylight and doesn't light up the interior at night unlike my other one which I have to cover up.For the price - a really good USB C charger - plus if you have a bench PSU with cigar-lighter socket it works well with that too.

As with the many other Belkin products I own, this is well-made, well packaged and does what it says. The charger itself protrudes from the lighter socket in the car by about 1cm, and the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable is the right length for a phone left charging in the centre console. The charger seems to be of the high-current kind and charges our USB-C phone (a Huawei P9) perfectly effectively. Being a type A socketed charger it's no problem to use with another cable for another phone. If you need a car charger and want a USB-C charging cable, this is an obvious choice

Good product, w.orks well with a good charge. Good value with the included USB C cable that worked well on my phone (Huawei). Nice form factor that does not protrude too much from the lighter socket. However could do with having two usb sockets as many do, other than that a worthy buy however if you have an eisting charger and just need the cable with a new phone etc with type c it goes without saying that unless you need the additional 2.1 amp charge then just buy the cable as it will be cheaper

This device is most welcome and replaces the USB-A type I previously used with a USB-C adaptor to charge my HTC 10 phone. Apart from being a neater arrangement, I now get genuine quick charging, so that on a short trip to the shops I boosted the battery charge from 56% to 88%. The supplied cable, 1.2m or very nearly 4 feet long, is more than enough for me, in fact I haven't even uncoiled the cable.Overall an excellent product carrying the reassurance of the Belkin name.

Very speedy charging - noticeably much quicker than the one I have been using.Great having a long cable too as sometimes it can be a stretch for back seat passengers needing to charge whilst on the move.I was a tad surprised at the price - which is at the higher end of the price range for chargers - but if you need to have your phone, tablet etc charged in a hurry then maybe worth paying a bit more for.I am happy to recommend this product.

Really powerful. Charges my iPhone 6 in no time. Unlike other in-car charges, because of its high power you can have wifi, bluetooth, SatNav running and it still charges quickly. Only issue is that the charger keeps bringing up a 'Unauthorised Accessory' warning on the phone but a quick removal of the main charger from the cigar lighter and re-fitting and it starts charging. A minor niggle and something I suspect is of Apples making!!!

This is a very good charger that can work with a few different phones but I think just as good could be bought cheaper. It certainly charged the phone it was used with very quickly but I don't think it was any faster than the one that was bought at the same time as the phone. It is the usual Belkin build quality, though, and I do think that is better than the one bought with the phone. I'd prefer to use this one because of that.

The usual amazing standard from Belkin here, it does charge very fast and the cable length is perfect. For the fact it's a set you can utilise any other USB cable to charge other items you like too, simply remove the supplied cable insert your own to the lighter socket charger and away you go. Cable supplied is high quality, not too rubbery that it snags and tangles but well shielded and won't get ruined with overuse easily .

As expected from Belkin, a good quality prodcut with fine tolerances that fits and works well. There is a small led so you can see when it is plugged in properly. The male adaptor fits standard 12v car power sockets and can be used to accept any standard male USB plug for charging. The supplied USB-C lead is useful if you have a new USB-C device. As expected, the supplied lead is of high quality. Good value and recommened.

This is great for charging up my phone in the car, as I often have to do - I've been using a Belkin charger for some time, and this one does charge noticeably faster. It's a shame it doesn't have two ports for charging, as my daughter often has to charge her phone too in the car, and we have to switch back to the older charger, but that's a small niggle for what it a great wee product.

This is lasting well. It charges as fast as a wall socket. It stays put once plugged in. It hasn't minded being knocked or bashed and it's a well made, tough and simple little gadget. The unexpected bonus of having a USB-C to USB-C cable isn't to be overlooked here either; I've found several uses for it already. If your new tech-toy charges with USB-C, then you'll need this.
