After reading several recommendations for Baxter of California's Deodorant, I decided to give it a shot. I had very specific requirements for a deodorant or anti-perspirant. 1) It had to work. I've grown tired of all the typical drugstore brands that just wouldn't work. I had to move towards using an anti-perspirant to get something that "worked" better, but still wasn't great. Gels, sprays, sticks, none worked. I work in an office, and I'd be re-applying by mid-day. 2) It can't damage the shirts I wear to work. Aluminum-based anti-perspirants would stain clothing to the point of ruining them. Dry-cleaning shirts wouldn't remove the metal flaking that would kill the shirt. I couldn't switch to a deodorant,as none worked as advertised. 3) Try to smell professional. There are too many of the traditional drugstore brands that either smell like you're going clubbing, or that you have an affinity for chemicals.Baxter of California's product resolved all of my concerns. I'm currently about to finish my first stick. I can say without hesitation that:1) This deodorant works. I apply in the morning, and don't need to reapply all day. 8am through bedtime. This is the first deodorant I have purchased in a decade where I can say this.2) It washes very easily. There is no residue left on clothes.3) The citrus musk is subtle, and works well in a professional environment. I really don't see how some have mentioned that it's a bad smell, or strong. It's close to a traditional musk smell (something *really* common in off the shelf products), with a slight citrusy smell. I quite like it. It definitely isn't trying to smell like it's club time. But wait! It's expensive! Well, I'm about to finish my first stick. It lasted over two months. For my usage, it lasted quite a lot longer than other sticks, because I wasn't constantly re-applying it. It might make it a little expensive still, but since it's a product that works well, washes well, and smells nice, I see something that is really worth the price (especially since premium drugstore brands are creeping up to only half the price of this stick).

Generally speaking, I don't usually use gel type deodorants and tend to opt for the spray type. Very occasionally I'll get a gift set at Christmas that includes a gel type and I haven't really been a fan of them in the past. I opted to test this one because I was familiar with the Baxter of California brand and have a couple of their other products. The deodorant is a standard size with a screw cap and you twist the bottom to produce the gel. The scent is quite pleasant and smells of citrus and a woody fragrance, rather natural when compared to some chemically enhanced smells of other deodorants. At first I found the deodorant rather sticky under the arm but I suspect that was me putting too much on.Having not used a gel deodorant for some time I was probably a bit too liberal with it and had to wipe some off after the initial use.Having used the deodorant every morning for about two weeks I think I've managed to get the hang of it. One or two short, quick swipes under the arm seems to be the optimal amount to keep me refreshed all day. For the most part it does last all day and I can still smell it on me in the afternoon. Having said that, with the warmer weather approaching I have had to reapply once or twice but only when doing busy things outside for periods of time.Given the size of the deodorant and the amount I use every day I imagine it will last me quite a while, a couple of months at least if not longer. The price is a tad on the expensive side at £14 but given how long it is likely to last then I suppose it's worth it. Add to that the fact that it includes lots of natural ingredients as well as being aluminium and alcohol free and it starts to earn its price. I've been on a bit of a purge lately with all my toiletry items and switching over to other brands that use natural ingredients and less chemicals and artificial stuffs. This is one that I may consider using again if and when it finally runs out.

Most underarm products, especially aluminium-salt based anti-perspirants, cause quite major reactions on my skin, to the extent that I completely avoid using them and stick with one of the solid crystal (alum-based) deodorants which work well and cause no irritation. However this deodorant from Baxter of California has also been fine and I've had very little reaction to it. It comes in the characteristic Baxter stripped-back packaging but the list of ingredients is full of natural extracts and mostly avoids the list of chemicals found in most products - most importantly it avoids aluminium salts which work by plugging up your pores like a cork in a bottle and can aggravate sensitive skin (like mine). It's a soft-ish waxy product that applies easily and partly gets absorbed into your skin. Some residue is left on the surface and it's possible that could stain or mark clothing, though I haven't noticed that so far. The fragrance is really appealing, quite understated and botanical (without being overly floral) and quite fresh. The only problem is that fragrance really doesn't last very long and after a few hours is virtually gone. The remaining fragrance has more of a musky aroma, not unclean or unpleasant smelling but not that different to your natural clean body odour. It does seem to prevent unpleasant body odour forming, I put it to the test with a few sweaty workout sessions and it was fine, but it doesn't mask body odour with its own fragrance because it just doesn't last that long. For everyday use it's comfortable, reasonably effective and pleasant to use but if you're self-conscious about natural body odour it might not be enough on its own.

As part of Baxter of California jumping across the pond, this one of a range of premium deodorants has been added into the mix. With an attractive blue colour packaging and plenty of bold promises, I applied some to give it the once over. With some recent controversy over the health effects of sprays, you will be pleased to know this is a roll on and only 75g in weight at that. The packaging itself is very solid, with an ability to roll the stick up when required and a cap that I am confident won’t come off even when moving around in a sports bag. The scent is very pleasant and actually quite different from what others are usually like, with a range of notes. It’s not overpowering but enough to cover up anything unpleasant given it’s only a deodorant rather than an anti perspirant. This scent could last longer through the day but not a huge issue.Overall therefore it broadly lives up to the premium price tag, with an upmarket product, different scent and great feel. From me it comes recommended.

Baxter of California Citrus and Herbal-Musk roll-on deodorant is a nice fresh smelling stick deodorant which kept my husband smelling fresh all day which I am very happy to report as previously he was using the widely available sprays and I would have had to remind him to “freshen up” which depending on his mood, cause offence.I like the fresh citrus fragrance as it smells so fresh and clean, and as the fragrance is mild it will not interfere with any other fragrances used e.g. aftershave etc.Baxter of California Citrus and Herbal-Musk roll-on deodorant is a great acting product and for me, it certainly wins the battle when it comes to my husband’s sweaty armpits. It is also safer to use than the spray can deodorants.Happy to recommend.

Again, Baxter of Calif. deliver a product I'd like to use at a price I wouldn't be prepared to pay. I'm pretty sure that excessive use of deodorants and anti-perspirants in particular is a bad idea - do your own research for the arguments but in the case of coating skin with a chemistry set, less is more. At home I use an alum crystal but there are times when it just isn't enough. Step in this subtle but appealing stick which has proven less irritating to my skin and plenty effective for my uses. It's about 10 times the price of a typical supermarket deodorant. I'd be giving it five stars if it was three times the price but at the current pricing it's an unjustifiable expense and I'd be put offbuying it again.

Really like the Baxter brand and this roll on is no different. The smell is subtle and lasts all day, the packaging is simple and likable.I cycle to my job and we are not allowed aerosols so have to use roll on’s and its been very difficult to find ones I like. Unfortunatly I like this one just as much as the Man Cave one I last used however like the mancave one I started to get rashes under each arm. I was hoping that as this was for sensitive skin this would have been avoided but its become obvious after just 4 days of usage. It does smell nice and lasts all day and leaves no marks on shirts which is a plus, Also doing sports like running and football with no BO smells,I wish I could continue using it.

My husband has declared this his absolute favourite. So although I've already written a review and it didn't appear I am writing it again! The scent is light and Mediterranean in essence. It probably suits the summer more than winter (in UK) and has a lovely citrus edge to it.In terms of efficacy it works very well for an evening out, a casual day ... If you're doing a heavy commute or exercise I don't think it would be as good as some of the main stream 'heavy duty' roll ons.Husband is still using it after several weeks and when it's run out I plan to buy more. So good to not be poleaxed by a synthetic smell - but something so natural - and attractive. Highly recommended.

Short review: but it nowLong review: I’ve tried so many deodorants in my time. Dove, Axe, All natural ones, Bulldog, Jean Paul, Man cave, Lynx, Old spice. You name it I’ve tried it, from the cheapest sprays to the most intensely expensive creams and after trying them all I tried this and it is... the best! Doesn’t have aluminium in it (so you won’t get increased risk of Alzheimer’s) smells amazing, lasts for six months of daily use and means you never smell bad, even after a full day of stressful meetings and a HIIT workout. Seriously I can’t reccomdbd it highly enough. Buy it now.

Super pricey, but it smells approximately one million times better than anything you'll find in Boots or a supermarket. Has a very clean, slightly woody scent to it - nothing like the overtly cloying, chemical tang you get from more conventional deodorants. My wife remarked on it smelling particularly nice, which is something I've never yet managed with a can of Right Guard. Lynx Africa fans need not apply. If you can stretch to £14 deodorant (I suppose people spend vast sums on moisturiser and make-up, so I'm not judging), then this is definitely worth a look. And a smell.

I've tried most deodorants at some time or other & lately have stuck with ManCave's roll-on's, which are by far the strongest I've ever come across. But ManCave will now have to share the crown, as this one is the same strength! Plus, like ManCave's deodorant, it mostly features natural ingredients & is aluminium-free. The main difference is that this one has slightly stronger (yet still subtle) scent which I prefer & it is kinder on my skin. I'm not familiar with the Baxter range but on the basis of this, I will be looking out for them in future.

I am highly allergic to so many ingredients. I have tried all of the regular brands, available in stores, but get a itchy red patch under my arms and they just don't work. I've got a couple of other special brands that I use but, as with other products (like shampoos, etc.), I have to rotate among them, to avoid becoming sensitive to them. I was so happy to find Baxter. It WORKS and I have no allergic reactions. I've added it to my rotation of the few deodorants I can now use. I highly recommend this product!

At first I would have given this a bad review - I found the scent almost sweaty, which clearly defeats the point! However the smell slowly grew and grew on me, and now I really like it a lot. When it settles on the skin it smells really nice, and it really does prevent odor. The main difference I would say is that whilst a standard chemical deodorant can actually keep you fresh for 24hrs +, a natural one is 12-24hrs. To me - this is fine, and I would rather this with a natural product.

14.4.2018

Doesn't have a particularly strong scent - it would have been nice for it to be a bit more pronounced. Seems to do the job of reducing both perspiration and resultant odour very well though. Rather on the pricey side however. These big chunky sticks admittedly last a long time but even so compared to an identically sized product by ManCave which I have been using in recent times which works equally well this is more than twice the price, so I wouldn't exactly be motivated to switch.

I'd not heard of this brand or seen it before, but it comes in a very stylish-looking roll on with a nice, bold design that will stand out in your bathroom. It is easy to use, smells great and lasts for hours. I'm also pleased to see that it doesn't contain any nasty products and isn't tested on animals. It is expensive compared to some similar products though, which is partly due to it being imported from the US, but it might put some people off.
