The concept is great and the build quality is good. You don't need to be a bricklaying expert to follow the clear instructions and build the surround. The result is impressive.The annoying bit is the hooks to embed in the mortar to hang the grill onto. These are not ideal, very fiddly to fit, very unforgiving and for my bricks (which were standard size) just that bit too tall, meaning that the bottom and top pushed right against the brick rather than sitting in the mortar.Overall good.

Built at the weekend, so only used it once so far. Measurements were spot on & the oven was well supported on the brackets. Grill does what it should and impressed with the temp. of the oven. Only used it to keep food hot and it did that very well. Next step will be to try cooking a pizza in there. Easy to clean after. Only minor issue is the oven door doesn't shut perfectly but not sure this affected it. Based on one use the extra money for the oven compartment is well worth it.

The BBC itself is easy to assemble and the stove function at the bottom is really handy for either keeping food warm or cooking. As long as you have some one who is handy with brick laying (I left that part to my partner) then it looks wonderful once its assembled. My only issue would be that the height of the bricks and the inserts means that the grill is possibly a little to high from the charcoal, other than that it's great and we're looking forward to using it over the summer

Building brickwork was much easier than expected, instruction leaflet was easy to follow. The bbq is now up and working, did a bbq for 15 on weekend and it worked a treat, the oven is such an added advantage, brilliant. The fire tray is large enough for a large party or just use half for a small number. It seems extremely well made and strong and the fact you can remove it from the structure to keep it under cover will certainly prolong its life. excellent

This is the third one I've had in 11 years. If my other half would learn to bring it in after we've used it, they would last a lot longer though they did last 11 years so not too bad. Well built and the oven is great at keeping any spare food warm so you don't have food going cold on the table. You do need to build the brick part of the barbecue but once you have done this you only have to buy a new one of these to make your barbecue look like new again

It does exactly what it says on the tin, great size and I love the oven section it can keep items warm while you sort all the cooking.Don't forget you will need to buy the bricks separately (around £100 - £120, it would be great to have the whole set inc brinks sold together.Don't worry though you can get any local tradesman to build the exterior, or as I did just pop to your local building supplies who will be able to advise.

Decided to have a go at building a bbq, was going to buy a masonry one but got bored during lockdown. If you're thinking of having a go, do it! I really enjoyed it. Just take your time and use the coal tray as a guide to get the right sizes. The kit itself is great. The oven is more a warmer but its ideal so that everything is ready at the same time. Everything is well made and the instructions are easy to follow. Have fun!

We were looking for a grill as we wanted to build a brick bbq and this looked great and was more than we were looking for with the oven included. We have not been disappointed. It looks great and we are very pleased with our purchase. Would highly recommend it.. worth it once you have built the base. Photo shows the build just complete.. now to tidy up and finish the surrounding ground area

It only took my husband two days to build, it was great for our family get together and the oven was a great place to keep the meat warm and away from flies. I would recommend measuring and calculating the bricks you need going on 158 bricks being the bare minimum. We used 250 bricks.But it is worth the effort as it makes a great feature in our garden.

Make sure you possess good brick laying skills as the straightness of the supporting wall is critical if you want a good looking and "level" grill. Looks good when finished and the oven below the burner area is a great way to keep things warm. You do need to think about some kind of cover to keep the rain off the burner area.

had the same barbeque for the past ten years and it has been brilliant . . A proven kit I was so pleased that it was still on sale with slight modifications , just had to slide it into place and I was up and running. I would recommend this item to any keen barbeque fan. It beats gas every time

It’s pretty robust, with the exception of a somewhat flimsy pizza draw door, but that was simple enough to rectify with a magnetic closing system.Love the idea that my bbq was made by my own hands and I was able to style it however I like, and still pay less than I could find one on the market!

Easy to assemble. Well had the bricks laid for me, but when we realised the bricks that are side on, are to house the oven, we managed to make the space bigger before leaving to set. Only grumble is the oven door isn't as tight fitting as it could be. Otherwise, great item, with a £15 cash back.

Fantastic piece of kit, once you've done your brickwork it's so easy . This barbecue got everything you need for a great time with friends . It cooks, keeps things warm and best of all there'sa oven for warming bread, pittas,wraps etc.A truly great value for money barbecueWell done Argos.

The bbq I purchased looks and fit well in the brick surround and is good for the price however when I first used it the ash pan lifted on one side and the brackets are not strong enough and did bend so needed to be straightened but once this was done it as worked perfect since
