I bought this back at the start of the year for my son who was turning 1. It was a fair bit beyond his capabilities, but I knew he'd love making 'music', he'd grow into it, and as a kid's toy should be fairly robust.Well about 7 months later, 3 non-sequential keys just stopped working. I wrote an email to B Toys asking for help. They only asked for a video of the problem, and then sent me a free replacement! With this they've made me a customer for as long as I'll need toys.Apart from that, my kid took to it like crazy. He likes the meeow tone the best, and the rhythms. He can just manage to carry it about, but it is not a small piece of kit by any means. It has a few fun tones,more songs than you'd need (or want, as all seem to be cat-based puns, ugh), some rhythms, and the ability to play back a short recording (without voice).There are only a few down sides that seem part of the design, and won't be fixed:1 - The cat ears at the top are made of hard plastic. Though rounded, and partly covered in soft-feel rubber, they're two points I don't like. Only an issue if the toy is carried around.2 - The microphone doesn't seem to pick up a whole lot, and you have to put the thing practically in the mouth to use. It would be nice to just detach it, though it doesn't extend long enough to be much of a strangulation risk.3 - Chords are limited to two notes. My son doesn't realize this or care, but it would be nice to get at least 3 notes simultaneously, to play him a few simple songs.Summary: A fun toy, probably the best piano you'll get for a 1-2 year old, with excellent customer services.

Oh, man, this is properly incredible. Bought it for our 16-month old's christmas. He's a bit young to fully engage with its complexities, but it's very well-pitched for a toddler's musical interests. Two buttons for songs - one of which plays a (frankly ghastly) selection of cat-themed songs, the other of which plays a variety of instrumental pieces. Our little man loves them both. And both can be tweaked by tempo (with hilarious effect on the pitch of the sung songs) and volume (master control - doesn't go as quiet as the wife would like, but the wee man is happy!)A good sprinkling of rhythm keys, too; and five (or so) different keyboard sounds, including 'miaow.' Keyboard can only play two notes at once,which is a bit of a shame. But, ay.Four weeks in, it's looking impressively robust. He regularly, erm, plays it with his feet. To my horror. But it's standing up superbly, with no signs whatsoever of damage.A really good piece of kit. Greatly loved already, and superbly built for capturing the attention and entertaining a toddler. All with a bit of musical education thrown in - bonus.

Since this will be the 1st review, I'll try to write the best i can.This piano toy is just great! It has 20 pre recorded melodies and 7 kitty songs. This kitty songs are familiar like 12 days of christmas or la cucaracha, but they changed the lyrics...in case you're not english speaker and cant understand what the kitty says, dont worry, you still can sing along with the kitty because all the lyrics are provided.It has record and playback feature that can record the tune you play, up to 50 notes.There are 5 styles of music: rock, blues, samba, techno, and disco. Plus 4 instrument sounds (piano, bells, banjo and organ). But these instruments sounds aren't so great...they're a bit irritating to my ear...I like the fact that it has volume and tempo control!So you can slow the tempo down for smaller kids who are still learning to sing.The mic is a great plus, though the cord is too short, but it's not an issue.

Ok, let's be clear, I do not "love it". My daughter however does.Just be aware, there's a selection of singalong demo pieces (the cat face button) that your child will discover and play ad nauseum. The most irritating, bratty sounding American voice you can imagine. Again, and again, and again. If nothing else it will encourage you to actively play with your child by diverting them to play with duplo, or lego, or arts and crafts. Anything! Anything to get a break from those godawful demos!Your child will love it though, which is kind of the point eh?

Apart from all good qualities the device has (and my 2.4 years old son really likes it), I miss two things: 1) cannot put the volume down although it was promised in the description before buying 2) all the nice melodies do not play till the end if you press one of the melodies button - then the next one starts, which means that my son presses and presses them and my ears break down. :( Also, if one of the rhythms is set, it does not stop automatically if the child just goes away. Stop button still needs to be pressed.

We bought the Meowsic music set for our 2 year old and she loves it. She is able to use all of the buttons and features independently and has a lot of fun. The quality is great and appears toddler proof. The only downside is the microphone, as you need to hold it really close to your mouth for it to work. In addition though the keyboard has record and playback features, this does not apply to the microphone. Still great fun though 4 stars from us.

We bought one of these for my eldest child several years ago. It was a hit. However, I surreptiously took it to a charity shop in a regular clear out. For the first time, my youngest (months later) requested I find it. His insistency didn't dissipate, so eventually we ended up buying it again. It's a favourite of his - two weeks on we're still listening to it. It's sturdy, a good size for a four year old and has enough functions for him to enjoy.

This product is both very robust and loved by my grand daughter. I was looking for something colourful and noisy and this fits the bill. It has a microphone and lots of canned and instrument sounds. Great for mt grand daughter, annoying for her parrents. Being a granddad is brilliant and products like this are great for pay back.by the way it comes with a volume control, but within seconds you can show your grandchild how to turn it up.

I've recently taken order of 3 of the B Meowsic syntesizers and can honestly say that this is up there with the Mini-Moog or the ARP 2600 in terms of my favourite synths of all time.If your into making techno or house music, this is probably what you should get. As used by Kraftwerk during their recent live shows and as studio pictures on instagram suggest- it has also used extensively on the new Prodigy album.

Variety of sounds etc great. This is the only keyboard I could find that looked suitable for a nearly two year old that will last...Negatives, volume doesn't go as low as it should and the mic doesn't amplify unless you wrap your mouth around it. Possibly faulty but not irritating enough to part with it whilst baby is in cast and thankful of anything that will entertain her for more than ten seconds :-)

I wanted this for my 2 year old as soon as I saw it. He received the parum pum pum musical instruments and I was so impressed with the design, function and quality that I wanted to find other musical toys by the same company. B make fantastic toys and this is no exception. It is for Xmas so my son hasn't played with it yet but I'm sure it will be a firm favourite for many years to come

Such a fun toy! My little boy is only 2 and we already get loads of enjoyment from this toy. The pre-recorded songs are now firm favourites. It’s also great the way you can change the sound made by the keys (eg. To a meow sound) and record your own songs. We couldn’t get the microphone to work - I don’t know if it’s just supposed to be decorative? But otherwise an all round great toy.

My daughter received this for Christmas and she loves it. Good quality, like all B toys and lots of fun. There's various sound options, and songs and a microphone so they can sing along too! Her particular favourite is the cat button which turns each note into a meowing cat sound. Overall a lovely toy which provides hours of (noisy) entertainment! Happy child happy mummy :)

I love the design and the meow sound is super fun. My 1 and 2 year olds like it as well and to my surprise they love the microphone the most. Only thing I would like to be different is the lowest sound volume. I love toys with sounds (hence, buying one for my own kids), but the lowest volume on this one is a bit too high.

Lovely music instrument, I bought it for my 2 year old daughter, for her birthday, however she doesn't show any interest in it even if she loves singing and she loves music and it's been in the house for over 3 months now. So really depends on the child mood and probably for 3 years old children. But really nice and cute
