This trimmer cuts paper and photos very cleanly. Though most of the use it gets is with A4 sheets, the A3 size gives more working space and fulfils the requirement for occasional larger work.I had bought a cheaper trimmer from a high street store but the cut was not really clean and since this was needed for my daughters photographic and art A level work a ragged edge was not good enough. This A3 Avery trimmer cost more but is in a different league - a much better trimmer. It will even cleanly cut photographs with double sided tape attached (backing paper on!), which is a great timesaver.I was nearly put off by a previous reviewer's comments about screws catching,

This trimmer has been very useful to get my classroom ready for September. From what I have seen it cuts through paper and laminate well. As someone has mentioned before, it does have a bit of a squeak to it but I find putting a little bit of pressure on it or going slowly lessens the squeak. Overall, I am pleased with it but would agree with other reviewers that it maybe isn't worth the money at full price (I got whilst on offer at £46).

Having had several cheap immitations, this Avery model (A3 size) copes really well with multiple sheets of paper and card. Avery quote it as handling up to 12 sheets of 80gsm paper, but I would rather not risk overstressing the machine for want of a little extra effort splitting the load. We use it very often, cutting mostly photographic paper, and it cuts as cleanly as it did when purchased almost a year ago.

I had a cheapo A3 trimmer (about £12 many years ago), which was a tad fiddly but adequate. Now the children are doing more artwork the old trimmer gave up. I also needed one that was precise and easy to handle, measure and grip photographs.** This one is just the job **Very good price for a sturdy trimmer.

I haven't used it a lot yet but when I have it cuts well, is easy to line up and is nice and light. I bought this to replace a slightly cheaper one which was leaving jagged edges on the paper and I'm much happier with this one as it leaves a good straight finish.

It's a bit bigger than I thought and takes a little effort to slide the blade down but the cutter itself is strong yet lightweight.. I like that the measurements are shown all the way down so I can easily line up my card. Overall good value and I like it.

Well designed and sturdy little trimmer. Light weight with a clever integrated carry handle. I often use it for trimming mounted work and would have prefered some "micro" markings to aid more accurate trimming, but this is really a very litle niggle.

We ordered the A3 trimmer as was cheaper than the A4! I'm so glad we did, it has come in very useful. Occasionally it sticks and is a bit tough to move - strangely it seems to cut better with more paper to trim.

Superb quality doesn't tear the paper even at 12 sheets, great value and arrived as promised my daughter is a teacher and is highly delighted with the trimmer has made her job that bit easier

So far, so good. We do not use it that often, but when we do we get a good clean cut which is what we require and it cuts through a laminated piece of paper with no problem.

Robust paper trimmer compares favourably with similar priced items. Precise cutting leaving a neat straight edge. Use mine for trimming photos. Very pleased.

A bit expensive but time is money and it helps me at work instead of waiting for the colleagues who use the communal trimmer. It cuts big amounts well.

Quite good, cutting edge is good the length is good. I was a bit disappointed with the measurement indicators, but I’m sure I will get used to them.

Good value for the money, quite compact as well. The only thing I would say is that you have to make sure the paper does not move as you cut it.

The trimmer arrived on time and was appropriately packaged.The trimmer is suitable for light to medium usage, works well and is easy to store.
