My two year old was thrilled when he received his Gruffalo. He wanders round the house taking him into every room he goes. In terms of quality, it seems well made; there is nothing on it that small hands can easily pull apart!It contains all the details that you would expect a Gruffalo to have (orange eyes, purple prickles etc etc) making it a good representation from the books.In terms of size, I am glad I opted for this one rather than a smaller one; it is just the right size for small people to take to bed and cuddle! I have seen a few reviews of this and other sizes being very negative saying how 'misleading' the description of size is because the Gruffalo is sitting down.

We bought this the other week to use in conjuction with the book at bedtime. It's great to use to help him point to all the parts of the Gruffalo as the story unfolds in the book. Of course it's not just for bedtime as he is now the young mans travel companion. When we go shopping he sits on the hood of the pram and looks down on him like a Gruffalo guardian much to his delight. Very well put together and the image of the book illustrations, it's amazing how when we go into the city at the weekends how many adults walk past and instantly recognize it and say "It's the Gruffalo!!". A quality soft toy all round, it's even survived a mauling off the dog!

As amazon don't seem to have taken my comments on board - please be aware if you are looking to buy this that it is only 12 inches in height. When it says 16 inch toy this is misleading as it means "if this toy could stand up it would be 16 inches tall". It is a seated figure and cannot be stood up. I was disappointed with this and asked amazon to update their description but this has not happened yet. Had I known it was only 12 inches I would have had no complaints at all! Otherwise it is a perfectly good cuddly toy but the poor description left a bad taste in my mouth.

So I got this for my girlfriend xD we're both 17 so it was slightly tongue in cheek, but she absolutely loved it. I appreciate that this product will mostly be bought for people a great deal younger, so I'll get to talking about the product itself :) It has the verse from the book where the gruffalo is described tagged into it's ear, and matches the description perfectly - right down to the wart on his nose =D It's very well made, really cuddly and would look great on any childs bed or windowsill etc. :) well recommended!

So excited waiting on the arrival of this item for my son for Xmas... Plus it was about £7 cheaper from amazon.... However when it arrived it was a had puppet in the box instead of the 16" plush!!! Raging!!!Luckily i was able to swap it in waterstones store for a plush as the bar does matched their stock codes too..although I did have to put extra money towards it..... Woud never have had anther one in time from amazon in time for Xmas so ad no other option!!The actual plush is brilliant itself for any gruffalo fan !!

Lovely, cuddly, chunky Gruffalo. Bought alongside the 7 inch mouse and they go really well together. My 16 month old son loves hugging them both, then passing them to me and his dad to hug too. He likes to hold them while reading the book or watching the dvd - and makes it clear he wants to do this by going and getting the soft toys first and pointing at the tv or bookshelf!It has all of the features from the book and is a good size for little hands. Though my father-in-law now wants one for in his car...?!?

I read other reviews before I purchased this Gruffalo so I was not sure what to expect as it had received mixed reviews. However, when it arrived I was very pleased as it was well made with nice detail. Also, its a sitting figure so the legs are bend forward (but the clue to this is in the title description)!!!!!!!!!!!!! My little boy loves his Gruffalo and its a nice size in comparison to the small animals such as the mouse, snake, fox or owl.

This 16" Gruffalo toy is well worth buying as opposed to the smaller versions. It is a chunky and cuddly Gruffalo, is a great huggable size and after it being in the house less than a day my son is smitten. The detail is fantastic down to the purple prickles all over his back and the poisonous wart at the end of his nose! It's lovely quality and made from lovely plush material. I'm really pleased with it. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this 16 inch Gruffalo for my grandson (12 months)as he loves the Gruffalo story. I chose this size after reading the reviews. It is quite big, about 3/4 the size of a 12 month old but he loves it. It is so well made, soft and cuddly. When we read the Gruffalo story to him we point out all the things mentioned like, the wart on his nose, his black tongue etc. Excellent purchase worth every penny.

fitted the discription perfectly and feels very good quality. bought for 8mth old grandson so was concerned when i saw it was recommended for 3+yrs. grandson really loves it,his face lights up and he gives it a big cuddle everytime he sees it, but he is only allowed it with adult supervision. only had the gruffalo for four weeks but i'm sure it will be around for years very pleased with purchase

This is an adorable representation of the gruffalo. My son takes him and the big bad mouse everywhere and pretend plays with them all the time. The only gripe I had was within minutes of giving it to him he had managed to pull out one of the whiskers, I'm not sure if this was just a manufacturing fault but the other ones seem secure enough. All in all a fantastic toy and worth the money.

My little boy who is two adores this gruffalo - he loves the books and films and this is now his new companion wherever he goes! It is very well made and has all of the traits descriped in the book - the size is perfect albeit a little bit big for him to carry round but this doesn't stop him! a firm favourite in our house - would deffos recommend to anyone who is a gruffalo fan!

A great toy. My 2 year old loves the gruffalo. He will be making the change from a cot to a bed soon - ordered this toy and the bedding to make the transition easier (I hope!). Not sure of the educational value, but you can certainly talk about the colours (eyes, wart, spikes etc) and cross reference with the book. Hes actually very cute and not scary at all. Well worth £14.99!

I was looking for a Gruffalo for my other half after watching the film. I saw them in Sainsburys but they were always with me. In the end I looked on Amazon and was pleased to find one here.The quality of the product is fantastic. Just like having your own miniature version of the "real" thing!It came well protected and soon took pride of place in the lounge.Well done

this is lovely, I bought it for my grandson as a present when his new brother was born. He loves the story, and saw a gruffalo in a shop when we were out waiting for his new brother to arrive, but saved money buying it from Amazon. Gruffalo now goes everywhere with my boy, and sits watching him in bed while he is asleep. He is no monster though, you can't help but love him!
