This little thing is amazing! It was bigger than expected, being half the size of my previous x-cutter but around half the height.PROS:Small 'desk top' design - doesn't take a whole lot of room up when not in use.Extremely well balanced - does not topple over like my previous full size x-cutter.Cuts well, into small pieces - ideal for destroying confidential documents and letters.Simple, easy to use.Lasts a long while before getting overheated, and cool down time is quick compared with some others.NIGGLES: (No CONS that I can think of!)You have to fold each sheet of paper in half lengthwise before inserting - not really a huge problem but something to be aware of.I use 90g paper so had to put a little less in at a time - not a problem really, just took more time.Overall, I am more than impressed with this item and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for use at home.

I only wanted a small shredder as I only want to shred the junk mail as and when it arrives that has my name on - offers for credit cards, loans, bank statements I don't need to keep, etc. This fits the bill and it is small and compact. For a piece of A4 you would need to fold it in half or tear it in two to feed into the slot. It apparently shreds Bank and/or Credit cards too and it is a cross cut shredder and the shredded paper is approximately one centimetre long by a quarter wide when shredded. I like it but it would probably be no good for a small or medium office where a lot of shredding is required. However, for me it does not take up much space and that is exactly what I wanted. When you empty the shredded paper you are advised to be careful as the blades on the underside of the top are extremely sharp. If you want a small shredder then this is for you. Simples!

Having ordered this shredder I wondered if I had done the right thing when I read several very negative reviews, but once it started work it had a vast appetite. Within a week I cleared out more than a quarter of a century of paperwork and its not gone on strike once. The instructions advise shredding for two minutes and stopping, well you have no choice because the bin is full after a few large sheets of paper, which I found no problem inserting when folded. Having a handle to lift the unit off the bin is great as its heavier than I expected but it was so easy to use. Some thicknesses of paper shredded much quicker than others but you soon get used to giving this little workhorse the rightamount of fodder.

I was a little sceptical when I opened the box as it was smaller than I had imagined and I was looking to shred lots of A4 documents , I have to fold the paper to fit in the shredder but it works fantastic , I read the instructions about the shredder overheating and cutting out after 20 or so sheets but I have done much more than that in a session and it has coped perfectly without cutting out ,the only drawback that I have found is that you have to empty the bin more than you would on a standard shredder .All in all I am very satisfied with this product and can recommend this shredder as the best table top shredder to buy!

Firstly this is quiet a compact shredder and will fit neatly on a desk top, That said it cross cuts documents in to tiny pieces and is very efficient.I have tried shredding a credit card and it did cope with this very well, it slowed down a touch which it seems to do if you fold documents or shred a couple at once. The only negatives are that the to shred an A4 sheet you have to fold the document in two as the slot is not as big as some shredders and if you shred a lot of documents then you will have to keep emptying the waist tray ,but it is a compact table top design,I would highly recommend this product.

Brilliant product. Ideal for small flats, where the space is of a premium. I don’t mean that’s less efficient than bigger and more expensive paper shredders out there. By the way it also shreds old, plastic credit cards, something one would only expect in top of the range models. (For me this was actually a very important feature). In short it does exactly the same job and it has the same feel and quality as far more expensive shredders out there, only the footprint is smaller for this one and it’s less expensive as well.I’m actually delighted with this purchase.

I wanted a small shedder but one that doesn't leave long strips which could be readable. This does that quite well, as long as you don't expect to put through masses of paper in one go! The specification states 4 sheets but of only 70 gsm grade which is quite thin paper most of my bank/credit card statements are a lot thicker and you have to fold them in half lengthways because the slot is 12 cm wide. So I only put one through at a time and have no problems with jamming etc. As long as you can be patient then this is ideal as a small table top shredder!

I've bought this for home usage, shredding bills, statements and receipts. As a lot of reviewers mention the top handle is total rubbish, in fact mine arrived already broken but emptying the bin is quite easy as the top has side handles.Since the entry slot requires a normal A4 sheet to be folded it can only shred 2 at a time. After a few uses I've lubricated it with a little regular canola oil, spread on a sheet of paper, and you can see a great improvement, the engine stops sounding like it's constantly struggling and on the verge of dying.

It works, it's good for low volume of shredding, however, the fact that you have to fold the paper leads to situations, when the strings of text on your sheets are directed vertically, hence you could read whole words, e-mail addresses, account numbers and so on on shredded paper. Just because of that I wouldn't call this a secure shredder.A possible solution to this is to fold the sheet not horizontally, like you would do to fit A4 page into the DL envelope, but vertically. In that case it works almost like normal shredder.

When my last shredder died, I ummed and ahhed about what to replace it with. I'm glad I chose this. It's very handy sat on the desk (out the way of little hands) but is still up to the job for general household shredding. I haven't found it any trouble to fold A4 sheets in half to fit and it will handle a few sheets at once quite happily. It will even do credit cards (one at a time). The top part has a build-in handle which makes emptying it easy and the bin has a reasonable capacity, given the compact size of the unit.

This is the smallest shredder I could find when my mini table-top gave up. I like it because the top part has a handle so it's easy to lift off when you need to empty the bin. Also you can see through the bin for when it's getting full - nearly all the other shredders had opaque bins which is useless. It is a bit noisier than my old one, but it's not loud. It runs off the mains so there's no problem with batteries. I haven't tried more than two sheets at a time, but it happily eats quite thick paper. Very happy.

This unit is exactly as described in the offering and is fully it for purpose. It is light, compact and fits well either under your desk or on it.Keep in mind, however, its compact size make it unsuitable for busy office or heavy duty use - that's not what it's designed for.So, if you need a big, heavy, large-capacity shredder for your office, don't buy this one.But if you need a nice, small, tidy unit for your study or home office, by all means go for this one.It does exactly what it says on the tin.

I find myself with lots of paper because it has my address on it and our shredder gave up over a year ago. I don't want to share my lovely shredder with anyone so I chose a this little one for my study. It's perfect it you're just shredding a couple of letters a day or so, which is all I do (though I do have a backlog at the mo). Its a really super size as well. Very pleased with this. Haven't put a credit card or anything through this, but I probably won't be trying anyway. Happy to just shred my paper.

I love this machine. It is small enough to fit on my worktop in the kitchen where I always open my post, so now instead of having lots of stuff built up to shred and having to take it all to my office, I now shred it when it arrives. Brilliant.I do have to empty it very regularly but that's a small price to pay for such a convenient device. The only upgrade I would suggest for it would be to shred into smaller pieces (although I would not do a jigsaw puzzle with the shreddings, would you)?

Just what I needed it is light and easy to use do not buy this for the office but its perfect for shredding day to day items. After reading other reviews it was just as expected very very pleased with this compact shredder as long as you do not forget to fold A4 in half as it has a narrow opening but in time this becomes the norm and its better than lifting a heavy shredder out for just a few items a day I love itBought another one for relative as she kept pinching mine love it
