The best performer for DAB radio in my car. Very cheap so I tried 3 August aerials to see which was best, as I think my area has weak DAB reception - the DTA400 has by far the best reception. I wanted an aerial that works inside the car, not mounted on the bodywork.Reception quality - my findings:- DAB splitter - 3/10 - my E46 BMW has an amplifier which I think might filter out DAB frequencies, so this might be why the DAB splitter was so poor.- August DTA207 - 2/10 - only tried quickly, but on a marginal station would only get a signal on the roof, the DTA400 and DTA250 were better. I raised and lowered the aerial but it was poor inside the car.Grounding it iinside the car didn't improve reception enough to make the marginal station play.- August DTA250 - 5/10 - I used this for a week. Grounding it seemed to improve reception very slightly. Better than the DAB splitter and DTA207, but only some stations had signal on the way to work. Planet Rock (my test station), was breaking up 75% of the time so it was no good.- August DTA400 - 8/10. Gave about 95% perfect reception on my route to work in my slightly weak signal area. Grounding it didn't seem to improve reception. So the DTA400 wins the reception test for me, I will play around with the aerial location a bit more, but I think stuck to the back of a rear headrest it will perform well. It looks discrete too, the element being semi transparent and about 20cm x 5cm.

Extraordinary little device! I took a punt on it, honestly rather anticipating that I'd find I'd wasted a few pounds, but at the price being asked I wasn't worrying too much. I actually want if for viewing my small 12volt TV in my campervan. I don't have room in the van to carry a "proper" aerial. Anyway, it arrived and I connected it first to the 32" TV in my living room, which operates with a full-size loft aerial, just to see what would happen. I was astonished - with this little aerial stuck by its "sucker" to the adjacent internal door lintel, the picture was almost as good as I normally get. So out to the van, where I connected up the 12volt set, waved this tiny aerial around a bit to find the best orientation, and soon had an excellent picture. Admittedly, I live on the South coast, not too many miles from the nearest transmitter, and whether or not this is a factor in the aerial's efficiency I shall only discover when I am travelling around and stopping overnight in different locations. Be warned - this thing is TINY and not exactly robust so you need to treat it with reasonable care. I shall keep mine in the padded envelope in which it arrived.

Hello,Bought this aerial as my rooftop aerial has packed in and I can't afford to sort it out properly yet. The product is very small (much smaller than I expected) and so is a little more discrete than I thought it would be. I've only tried it with a small TV in my kitchen so far (normal freeview - no HD) - at first I held it in certain places on the wall that I was hoping to fix it however it wasn't really giving a consistent feed when I did so. The aerial itself has a magnetic base so it can be fixed to a metal door or window frame etc, so I fished about for something metal to stick it to. I eventually found a stud spanner with a long neck that I poked into a hole on a bookshelf,I fixed the aerial to the spanner and the feed seems consistent through all channels now. I don't know if the feed wasn't good before just because I was holding it and wasn't keeping it still, but this made me think that the aerial might not do so well attached to a main TV with freeview HD. Anyway... it works, and it's a bloody good price too.

This was bought for use with a PC's digital TV tuner and was chosen over something like the more convenient flat aerials that are sold by some companies but which rarely work. This actually does and surprisingly well. The brand is not one that I had previously encountered and the purchase was very much on a suck-it-and-see basis.I was very dubious about this aerial and even more so when it was unpacked. It is little more than a metallic film on an adhesive paper/plastic backing. The centre section employs a magnetic mount that will allow it to be used on iron and steel and a separate rubber suction cup with a steel piece that connects with the magnet and allows it to be attached to painted surfaces, glass and non-magnetic metals and plastics. The lead is around 2 metres in length and should be sufficiently long for most purposes.

OMG I was and am still amazed and shocked at how this thin , cheap looking bit of plastic can pick up the channels so well , better than my £20 plug in aerial , better than my larger , trendy looking flat one , just tuned the new TV in and it pIcked up all the channels straight away from some standard spot near the window but not very close as it could not reach and it did not seem to mind which direction it was in and the picture was crystal clearI am of the old adage ''you get what you pay for'' but you certainly don't always as my more expensive ones are rubbish compared to this and I have ordered another one for my little 7'' TVI am still in shock to be honest ( and annoyed I spend so much on my ''better looking''but poor performing ones ) and at least it is discreet , lightweight and gets the job done with ease! :-)

I live in the top-floor flat of an old stone-walled converted house. I have tried for years to release myself from the leash of subscribing to a cable tv provider, but I have not been able to purchase an adequate antenna. I've tried indoor antenna with boosters and even went so far as to try a full size loft antenna, but neither could receive even one tv channel. This is despite being in a 'high reception area'.When I unpackaged the August aerial I was a little shocked to see that it was little more than a piece of sticky-backed plastic with some wire going through it and a cable coming from it. Never-the-less I gave it a go, and amazingly the autotune on my tv picked up all available radio and tv channels in my area, including available HD channels with exceptional clarity. Amazing!

Got this to replace a desktop aerial for TV in the bedroom which was giving really poor reception. When you open the box, it looks terrible. It's tiny, and it's flimsy. It's basically gummed paper with some wire "printed" onto it. I expected it to be terrible, but it was immediately much better than the larger aerial that it replaced. All Freeview channels picked up, with around 80% signal strength. Now, the size and flimsiness of the aerial are actually a plus. You can remove the backing on it and stick it anywhere (or use the magnet/suction cup). I've stuck it onto the underside of a shelf in a wardrobe with the cable discretely coming out the bottom, you won't notice that it's there. So,a better signal, and desk space reclaimed from the larger aerial. Top marks.

I needed an antenna to connect to my new YouView box to receive broadcast TV, as I do not have an external aerial. A previous antenna failed to pick up any channels; so taking the advice of other reviews here, I decided to plump for this instead to see if it would work better. I'm glad I did. So far my box has been able to discover 31 channels with this antenna connected - including all the main five - and has strong reception although it breaks up easily in heavy rain. It also unlocked the ITV Player. While I know there are a lot more Freeview channels out there, the fact this antenna succeeded in finding the major ones where other antennas failed to find anything at all is enough for me torecommend it to anyone.

This is an outstanding little aerial. I needed a quick & easy solution to getting a TV working in an upstairs guest room. I was very sceptical about how this aerial would perform based on its size & simplicity but it pulls in a good signal in an area no known for strong signal strengths. I adhered my aerial to an upstairs window using a signal strength meter. I would recommend this as the smallest of adjustments (a few inches up-down-left-right) made a big difference to what signal strength it would pull in - I was getting 65% strength - enough to get all the Freeview channels I know are available in my area. Some TV's have a signal strength meter in the menu option I know - but my old set doesn't !

wow wow wow. after a very fast delivery i opened a small box to find a very small product. it did not look it was ever gonna work, but wow, in my house, where i always had a problem to receive a signal (i never found a signal without a roof antenna or cable!!) this little tiny thing found all programs on the freeview (on the second attempt, but it did!!). I am truly amazed. the antenna has a magnet which got attached to the metal frame of the window (under the plaster, so it literally sits on the inner edge of the window), it does look very unintrusive. I am very happy with the product, definitely recommend it. And it cost about 11 quid... but it works, which is priceless :-)

Does the job, great HD pictures, and versatile, you can use the stick on pad, but as the pad only has a base of metal, this means the aeriel (which is fitted with a magnet) can be detached, to mount on a metal surface to improve the signal, or re-attached to the sticky pad base. This has been convenient for me, as the best signal for my area comes when the aeriel is attached to the window pane, but when the window is opened the signal is, for some reason, lost, and I fix the aeriel to a nearby surface temporarily.Note: I live half a mile from a relay station in direct sight, so check if an indoor aeriel is good for your area before buying - some people need roof aeriels.

Picks up a really good signal. It has a sticky back so you can stick it somewhere and it will stay there. Alternatively it has a suction cup you can fix it to but I find the adhesive is better. This way the antenna doesn't move, and the quality of the picture doesn't change.I also tried the August DTA180 Freeview TV Aerial - Portable Indoor/Outdoor Digital Antenna and the August DTA240 High Gain Freeview TV Aerial - Portable Indoor/Outdoor. Didn't like either of these mainly because the quality of the signal varied and the cable was too short for my liking. The DTA180 was a bit flimsy. The DTA240 has a nice weight to it and picks up a better signal than DTA180.

Works well in London E3 on all Freeview channels including HD.. I have it on an internal wall of a Victorian brick terrace house. Only 20 x 5cm in size so quite remarkable! Needs to be mounted on a smooth surface using the suction pad or adhesive backing. Plan to find a piece of perspex or small picture frame and hang it on wall with aerial stuck to it. Its been fine weather, blue skies and reception changes with weather so cant say if its good under all conditions.Suspect these indoor aerials only work well in high signal strength areas. If you're in the country look out for reviews from outside large cities - though at £6 its a low risk purchase. Recommended.

Absolutely brilliant product. First of all delivery was super fast. Ordered Wednesday evening and received it Friday afternoon. I actually bought this for my mum who had tried a couple of different aerials as well as boosters but no matter what we done or where we put it we couldn't get any more than 24 channels and some of those were radio channels. Got this product out of the box plugged it into the tv without the booster and the first position we put it gave us 128 channels. I moved it around a little bit and got 145 channels. We just left it at this, my mum is saying she's buying another 3 for the other bedrooms and kitchen.

Was looking for an aerial for a while due to my new rented accommodation having no aerial installed. I was looking into the more expensive ones, however saw this and purchased due to the price and risked it. At first getting it out of the package it looks like a piece of paper, however the signal received is excellent. Receives all channels on freeview, and all of the HD channels on Freeview HD as well. If you looking for a great aerial at a brilliant price I'd highly recommend you purchase this.
