I bought this little aerial after reading the reviews (good and bad) and for a tenner, I thought that it was worth a chance. Now I bought this primarily for a new DAB radio setup that was supplied with the usual wire dipole. The wire aerial was ok, but unsightly.I must add that I am only about a mile away from the transmitter. This August DTA240 performs superbly, giving more DAB stations at a higher strength. I then tried it on my Freeview TV that is in a bedroom running on an indoor aerial. The reception was magnificent, it picks up more channels and even on HD there is no pixelation. I must stress that I am lucky to be close to a transmitter, I havn't tried the aerial further afield.

i bought this indoor ariel because i didnt want the hassle of drilling a hole through the wall for an external ariel connection.placed it on the window sill and plugged the lead into a JVC smart tv.hey presto, upon scanning the tv found 100+ digital freeview channels including the high definition ones.its a neat discrete device that does what it says on the box.what it wont do is work where you already have marginal tv reception, i tested it on another tv where the reception was poor when disconnected from the external ariel and it made no difference.i would say you need to look for some other device if you already have poor reception.

I found we were 3miles from the nearest transmitter. Reading other reviews I thought I would give it a try. This was bought for the TV in the Bedroom. Finding the best position was not easy as it did not work at first. Positioned on a cupboard 1 meter away to the left of the TV - it worked and I have left it just there!. The TV did not find or found just a few channels when position next to it, to the right of it or anywhere else. Tried it with 2 other TV's in the house and was not successful in finding a signal. So I guess it is a gamble when buying this or any other TV aerial. But in my case I was lucky.

Bought one of these having read good reviews of them. First TV I tried it on was an old style flat screen. It found 24 channels and not all were great. Once at home I plugged it in to my much newer smart TV. After scanning for channels it found 142 in total and reception was brilliant. I then tried it on my new 20" TV bought for our campervan, after scanning we had 68 channels in all, again reception was good. I'm well aware that in different conditions and areas this aerial will have different performance ability but all in all I'm very happy with it. Highly recommended.

Having read reviews I was a little sceptical in light of the price and size of the August DTA 240 and more so when it arrived without any makers markings at all.The engineer installing the new T/V had not come across this aerial before and was very surprised at the quality of the signal (we are only 3 miles from the local repeater mast). Moving the aerial from the window cill to sit behind the television set in the corner of two solid walls did not adversely affect the signal.Success!

I bought this to use with a 7" Freeview TV in my camper van. I must admit I was a bit sceptical about this little aerial but have to admit it has worked very well. Maybe I've not been in a bad reception area yet? So far, so good. But note that as it is magnetised and works much better when placed outside on body of vehicle, I have noticed that you will lose quality of picture if not "stuck" to a metal surface. I'm pleased as it really is very small and doing a good job.

Bought this for our narrowboat having been recommended by someone. Didn`t really hold out much hope as was cheap in comparison to other aerials we had looked at but thought for less than £12 we would give it a go and wow thank goodness we did. It is so easy to install having the magnetic base and the picture quality we get on our TV is second to non. Also picks up more channels than we ever had before. Would certainly recommend this item.

My roof aerial was cut (can't remember why) but wanted to take Virgin box out of bedroom to save money, this arrived in less than 48 hours in a box the size of a small light bulb box - bought an aerial extension cable as was too short to reach windowsill and wanted cable behind two double wardrobes, incredibly easy to install just plugged it in, scanned channels and wow! What a great picture, very impressed with this aerial

Bought this for a friend who wanted a small tv in her kitchen where there was no cable socket (apartment on 4th floor). Had to place it at an angle of 45 degrees pointing towards the transmitter(35 miles away) but then received 127 channels. Very strong signal. It could be improved by having a seperate base that could angled to which the magnetic base could be attached. Nevertheless it's a very good product.

A small unobtrusive but super quality little Aerial. We no longer need our Roof mounted Aerial as the reception from this product is just as good, in fact some channels we could not get before are now available.It must be emphasised however that we have 'line of sight' to the local transmitter so all contributing factors are as good as they can be. The price still makes it well worth a try.

Bought this for the telly in my motor home because i didnt want to drill the roof or pay loads for a camper aerial.The quality of this product is fantastic. The weight alone makes it feel really well made.Worked as soon as I plugged it in.Excellent value.Hope it works just as well on the road.Thanks alot

Bought this for use on camper van. It has a strong magnetic base which really stuck on the van roof. I used it in a poor TV reception area and got over 50 channels. After moving to another location with stronger signal I retuened and have over 90 channels. For something so small I think this is great.

I spent a small fortune on super duper digital aerials everyone was rubbish where I park my van on the drive I could not pick anything upI bought this aerial to try after I saw one on a new caravan on site that had brilliant pictures where I had none, plugged it in on my drive and got all channels

I bought this to use in my conservatory to be honest I wasn't that impressed at first... but as I moved it I accidentally stood it on a biscuit tin.... and POW!!! It was brilliant.... I can't get bbc1 or bbc2 but I can get 11 other channels so I'm happy. Promptly delivered too.

Gets full signal quality and strength like a full size antenna. I’m using a 4g filtered booster so that might help a bit but you also need to remember this antenna needs a metal base to stick to in order to get good signal. I’ve stuck it to a baking tray lol and works awesome!
