I managed to pick this up for £16 on a promotion, but at the current price of £20, it is still a decent whisky. My preference is towards peaty Islay type malts, so this isn't one I would ordinarily pick up. On first tasting I found it to be nice rounded and soft on the palate. I was expecting something a bit harsh and raspy on the throat, so I was pleasantly surprised. The Islay malts I tend to prefer after a meal, but this one seems to be something you can enjoy at any time, except for breakfast perhaps!Certainly one I will pick up again and maybe keep a stock of.

This is a little gem of a dram for the price. A light easy drinking single malt with a surprisingly varied mix of flavours that wouldn't be described as complex but certainly isn't bland. Understandably the newcomer to peated Whisky's describe the taste as overbearing or so prominent it affects their overall enjoyment, this is much milder in the context of taste, but is unmistakable. As an introduction to the style or a first taste of peated Islay whisky Ardmore Legacy is a perfect starting point from which to explore that particular regions single malt whiskys

Very nice presentation box making this an ideal gift for many whisky lovers. Well balanced smokey taste and nose, for some this may be a little to smokey while for myself a little more smoke and peat would be nice. I found Ardmore at it's best when served in a large tumbler with large ice ball and Ardmore poured liberaly over th top, this minimises the among of iced water watering down the whisky whilst maximising temperature reduction. Very good whisky at an excellent price, good option for whiskey drinkers wanting to try something a little bit different.

Given to me as a gift. Like all the malts I have tried, the taste is strong at the beginning and mellows as the bottle empties. Described as "light peaty" I think that is a slight understatement as the smoky, cold bonfire, taste is stronger than that. Sipping from a glass with nothing else but ice, I started to find it's notes - hints of aniseed and licorice to my palate. Nice to have with nibbles, particularly hard cheeses.4 stars, because I wouldn't turn down a glass, but won't be a bottle I would buy again as have favourites that are more attractive.

This is a very acceptably daily dram (or two). To be fair, my favorite tipple is Islay malts such as: Lagavulin, Caol Ila, Laphroaig, but they are considerably more expensive, so that is an unfair comparison. It was the "peat smoked" bit in the description that led me to try Ardmore. It is "full bodied", with more than a hint of peat, not wildly sophisticated, but enjoyable. On tasting, there is an instant "hit", that sort of slowly fades, no great depth, but at 20 quid (ish), perfectly acceptable.

This was my first whiskey beyond the basic store brands as recommended by an older gentleman who is well versed. Loved it, goes down extremely smoothly, tastes fantastic. I won't try to comment too much on the flavour notes, but its smells fantastic. Also the lid of the box is handy for putting on top of the glass when adding a bit of water to create a different flavour(another tip I was told). Will buy again after trying a few more.

As others have said this is a good day to day whiskey for the price. In fact better than that implies. Not too peaty for my taste (I prefer Caol Isla to lagavulin!). Have had 2 and just ordered another 3 because at some point the £20 price will be lost! One question - it says it is 80% peat & 20% unpeated But still calls itelf a single malt. Surely its a blended malt (no grain whiskey so merits "malt")!

I quite like this whisky - and so did my Dad, who's the real whisky drinker in the family. It has quite a pale, straw-like colour and both earthy and smokey tones. It's not as smooth a single malt as Glenmorangie or Glenfiddich so at full price I probably wouldn't bother, as I like these better. However there have been some excellent promotions on this here, so I'll almost certainly buy it again.

I'm very pleased with this bottle of malt Scotch whisky. With a balance of 8% peated and 2% unpeated malt, it has a unique and gentle flavour. It arrived safely in a very nice looking cylinder kind of container, very convenient as it was a present for my father in law. We had a drink together and all really enjoyed it. Highly recommend this bottle of Scotch whisky.

I have a soft spot for this no age statement as I drank a bottle on a memorable holiday in argyll. Objectively it isn't a bold whisky but it does offer something a little different with the light peat smoke and sweet contrast. Pretty smooth as well for a younger whisky and excellent value when discounted. Much better than most blends of a similar price.

I'm not an experienced whisky drinker - have only recently been introduced to it - but have acquired rather a lot of different whiskies, single, blended, Irish, Scottish, American .... but, in my very humble opinion, this is a good buy.Cheap as chips and a lovely bit of peat in there. I absolutely love it ... and at that price I love it even more.

I'd heard of Ardmore but never tried it and at £20 a pop I thought I'd give it a go. Well I'm so glad I did as it is a very smooth, slightly sweet and gently peaty whisky that puts many more expensive malts to shame. Now at £18.90 (June 3 2020) it's an even better deal!Overall well worth the outlay and one I will be returning to.

I bought this for my husband who enjoys a whisky at the weekend. I don't drink whisky but my husband says this is a good single malt and he would let me buy it again for him!! It was a new brand for him so I suppose that is a good recommendation of the product. It was well priced given that it is a single malt on a special deal.

Been buying this brilliantly affordable single malt for a while now, no matter how many different whiskey's I try I always hover back to this masterpiece, superb, for affordability and quality, splash of water and my night is complete, I doff my hat, has yet to be surpassed, keep up the great work whoever you are

This is a great single malt for the money. It's peaty and has a decent finish. Just a drop of water and it sings. Not medicinal or metalic and so if you are a massive peat head you might feel a bit let down. However if you like your Talisker 10 you won't be disappointed. Great and will be back for more.
