I actually really love this game ^_^ I bought it originally when it first came out and then again recently as I had lost it and suddenly really wanted to play it again! There are quite a few things wrong with Arc: ToTS... The graphics are pretty poor when you compare them to games like Final Fantasy X, the battle system is slow and uninspired, and there are no cut scenes. However, the actual story is pretty good and I liked the fact that the story swapped between Darc's group and Kharg's (though admittedly I rushed through most of Kharg's chapters to get back to Darc, who was by far the best character in the game :-) ). Although the dialogue was often quite juvenile and cheesy (the 'because we're brothers!'line has to be the cheesiest line ever heard in a video game, with 'this is the only hand I have to offer' coming in second!) I actually found this very amusing and so felt it added to the game rather than detracted from it. The contrast between Kharg and Darc's lives is great and Darc's first chapter (Awakening) and then the story from the middle of the game onwards really make it worth playing.Make sure you have some time on your hands when you come to the final battle as it takes about an hour to defeat the enemy and then of course you have to watch the end sequence! If you want a fast paced game that is more about the battles than the storyline then Arc: ToTS is probably not for you, but I would recommend people give this game a go as it has an interesting stroyline with some great characters in it. It could never match up to final fantasy but it's still a great game that i will play again ^_^

As well as making top-notch games consoles, it seems Sony also has a knack for slipping some half decent RPG's off its production line.Twilight of the Spirits allows you to take control of two brothers with a diference. Being an RPG, they are born to a demon father and a human mother. Born into a revolting world, they are subsequently separated moments after birth. Seemingly shunted by the world, unaccepted by humans and demons alike, they grow up in two separate worlds. Kharg raised in a human village and Darc in a demon city. They grow up feeding off the propaganda against each others race, unaware of the their own shared blood.Like most RPG's, there is the overpowering evil that the two must defeat.A good 60 hours will be spent, trying to save the world, that they were born ungratefully born into. The combat system in Arc gives you more freedom than other well know RPG's, such as Sony's Final Fantasy's. Before you are thrown into the fight, you have the chance to equip your team with magic/defences/weapons that will aid you against that particular enemy, making these combats much more tactically inclined (also standing this game out from any of Sony's predecessors). Once in the fight you have the freedom to move anywhere within a character's given stance. From there, you are able to unleash a multitude of FMV sequences to accompany your moves.Even though we've seen games like this, Arc surpasses all that have gone before. Offering a game that will swallow your senses, and leave you gagging for more. Not to be missed....

i have in my time play more then a fair share of rpgs and this one had me quit confused for one i found it way to simple and small(in lack of a better world) and yet i wanted to play more of it one of the first things yo notis is that there isent a world to explor you are gennerally but to a short of grandia light version not only is the world map fillede witd spots for you to go to but most of them are just places to due battle in you dont get a holde lot of depth in the game it self but you will in the story in the story you follow to main charaters one one the human/goody side and one one the deimos/wiked side there is an upstarting war and the two main charters khrag(human) and darc(deimos)gives you there side of the story you then on shifts get to play khrags tema and darcs tema and se how hatred vegenace and betrayel gets both temas steamed up to kill on another for the story alone this game is worth playing and if you are type who wants to go on with the story and battles and not explor then this is the game for you one one side the gameplay aint all that great the positiv about it is that its easy to get in to and start up again after a long pause on the other side the story is good and will get you thinking about seing it from both sides and that there may not be all around heros and hating and fighting donts do either good

OK if you don't like fairly slow paced RPG's then look away now-Arc Twilight of the Spirits isn't for fast action fans or speed merchants. The game has decent graphics and a turn based battle system which has a tactics element as you try and move to the best position for the next turn. You can also use magic and all the usual RPG stuff like stats.,shops, levelling up and talking to townspeople etc. is in place as you move the story forward. The 2 main characters (Kharg and Darc) each have their own storylines and you switch from one to the other during the game which is a nice touch. What sets it apart from other RPG's is the fabulous enthralling story of twin brothers who are separated very early on in life. They grow up apart and.....well I won't spoil the story but you will want to see what happens right to the very end some 60 hours later.I also enjoyed the music in this game however the voiceovers are very sparse and you will be reading text a lot of the time. Sounds like your kind of game? If so then I recommend you get hold of a copy right away and give this hidden gem of a game the recognition it deserves as it seems it has been sadly overlooked by many.Summary: Excellent story, good battle system, pleasing music. Not for action fans, slow paced.Reviewer: Mr A Mason, Warrington UK.

Mysterious but CleverJoin an epic battle between the two playable characters, Kharg and Darc.Darc is from the land of the Deimos, horrible violent creatures that care for nothing but themselves.Kharg, however, is from a much more civilised continent, and lives in Yewbell. He teams up with his lifelong friend Paulette and other friendly characters along the way. They both make more friends and playable characters as the story goes on.You can buy and sell objects with money that you have won by defeating enemies.Objects can be picked up or bought, for instance you can use a bomb for hurting an enemy, and a healing herb to cure your character. The fighting is different from other games I have tried. It is quite like a game of chess - first your enemy goes, then you go.Throughout the game you get more special moves or magic. You can use these to heal yourself or others, or to harm others greatly.By RoryAged 9

I actually really liked this, the demo on the PS2 mag was awful,it was just the first 20 minutes or so and unless you ran everywhere and didn't stop to chat/shop it cut out!,anyway the game is much better, the story is intriguing although a bit obvious and you can see the twist a mile off,What saves this is the combat system,it's excellent, like a tabletop miniature game as opposed to lining up face to face and taking it in turns to hit each other.I mention Densimo as if it weren't for his potty mouth, this would be a 7+!,I only marked it down as the story is a little cliche and the very last boss is a bit of a pig, there isn't any savepoint straight before him,you have to do a series of smaller/easierfights first.

Arc: twighlight of the spirits took 7 years to make, but was it 7 years well spent? The story follows the journey of two brothers who were seperated at birth. Both anonimous to each others existence. Kharg is brought up as a human prince, and Darc is a Deimos slave, tormented and beaten. But the spirits are calling and the two brothers have been chosen to save the world from anhilation. This game may be no Final Fantasy, but it has enough kick to keep you going 60+ hours. The game has an enthralling storyline to keep you going, although the diologue can sometimes be a little cheesy. I would recommend this to any RPG fan, just as long as you dont expect the graphical flare of Final Fantasy...

This game as one hell of a stroy line where two brothers destay are intwind, each of them having there own story line and diffrent views on life. The battle system is a bit diffrent to most moden day rpg games. Its a turn base battle system in a 3d inverment that lets you move your caracters in number of spaces and a range around its aera, which meens a battle can easly been won with a good staragy attack and defence. This is well worth its money and so far has been a good game. The only thing that lets it down for me is that when interacting with most of the key caracters there is hadly any vocal vocie over.
