I decided to try Applaws because of content and reviews. My dog (14months now) was always fussy eater. Ever since I started with Applaws his appetite has improved completely. It was a real struggle to get to eat dry food before (Royal Canin, James Wellbeloved, Hills, etc) I tried many and he just would not eat dry food unless he starved for a day or two. Now he cleans the plate in less than a minute. However there is a small problem which is why I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. If I feed him Applaws only his poop is rather soft, sometimes hard to pick up. I have introduced Applaws very slowly over 6 weeks and still the same. So now I mix it half half with Royal Canin Mini Adult Chicken and it seem to work very well. Also I notice he is always hungry for more.I feed him maximum recommended (he is 8.5kg and I give 150gr a day) so it worries me a little why he is not gaining any weight, despite being overfed.

I used this Applaws as follow on to the puppy food for my 2yr old jack Russell bitch. Of course she prefers steak to the dried food but this is quality. No upset stomachs and no sickness, does her well. She is a very energetic dog needing lots of exercise and i believe this is one of the best foods on the market. We have had no issues with the food and would recommend it to others owners. We did try her on something else when we ran out of this brand but didn't suit her and it was given to the rescue kennels. All in all i think you pay for what you get higher cost than some dry dog foods but i would buy this now regardless of cost as it suits her.

Munch munch munch get away munch no I'm not stopping eating just to talk about my loverly Applaws food its so lovely I really like it .It's our favourite and that's saying a lot as we love some others too but we always eat this with great relish. Why don't human's try it! Well, maybe not, we want ALL of it. WE LOVE IT and it's very good for us.From Maisy, small mixed breed kind of little terrier, Pancho, very small long haired Chihuahua (so he says), Poppy, dear little shy rescued toy Poodle, and the babies, Daffodil and Snowdrop who at 1 year old weigh in at 2kilos each. My 7 month collie male has become rather fussy, loving the James Wellbeloved puppy then hating the junior variety, I tried going back to the puppy JW but he didn't fancy going back either, so I was on the hunt for a good all round food for my dog and someone recommended Applaws. It was the same price as JW but no grains and a much higher meat content. The nuggets are double the size of a cat kibble and have that nice oily feel about them, they are dark in colour and have a pleasant odor. He seems to enjoy it so I'm happy to stick with this till he changes his mind!

I prefer Oscars but my dog prefers Applaws!Oscars is the very best dog food you can buy and works out cheaper (cheap dog food is a false economy), even if the initial purchase is so high. Unfortunately my Glen if Imaal isn't too keen on Oscars, preferring the flavour of Applaws biscuits to Oscars. So I give him Applaws... and I am quite happy to because Applaws is on a par with Oscar dog food.Would be good to have a measure included as it's easy to turn your dog into a round ball shape with high quality dog food.

My dog has been on this food a couple of years now and when I could not get any locally before Christmas I panicked. I was pleased to find it here at a competitive price.Although it may seem more expensive than the supermarket brands you will find that the high quality means your dog doesn't eat as much. My Lhasa apso is a bit fussy and many of the other foods we tried her on either made her itch or her tear staining really bad. Well recommended. All my dogs friends seem to enjoy it too when they visit!

My fussy little dog loved it! I would definately recommend it to anyone who has a dog like mine. Normally if she fancied a snack she would insist on a carrot, a dentichew, a bonio, or she would try for a biscuit or a sweetie, or something that we like, but now she wanders over to her dish with Applaws Chicken and gets tucked in, finishing with a lovely drink of cold water. Which is very very important because the dry biscuity food swells in their tummy, so fluids are paramount. Best Wishes, Joan Glynn

My dog is a picky eater and he absolutely loves this food. In small dog fashion, he eats it piece-by-piece all day long but eventually finishes it--a good outcome! I tried to switch him to something I thought might be even better from a nutrition standpoint and that was not happening... he would eat all the pieces of Applaws and leave the others strewn about the house! So Applaws chicken is now our food of choice.

Moved to Applaws puppy food from Pedigree after realising how little meat content was in the older one - this one seems to sit better with our dog, who, erm, how to put this, has much better movements than he did previously...Shame none of my local shops stock it but the pup seems pretty happy with it so we'll be sticking with it.Delivery was quick and painless with Prime, even for the 7.5kg bags.

I think that my capricious Yorkshire terrier likes it, so it is good for me. I trust applaws because I give the wet food to my cats. This is the first pack of dry dog food I take, and I think that it is ok for my dog. I don't see any change to her caca and general mood.Perhaps I could give 5 stars but I should have used it for longer in order to decide.

My Cockapoo has just moved onto this from the Applaws puppy chicken food. He had always been quite a fussy eater and I had also had to try a few options brand / food wise as he easily got an upset tummy. Since moving to applaws I am really happy to say things have 'firmed up' and he loves it eating it when its put down. Long may it continue.

Decided to try this for my Pomeranian ,she was on wet food prior to this and has always been fussy with dried, still mixing with wet Applaws but she absolutely loves it and always empties her bowl and goes back looking for more .I wanted a better grade food with more protein and less fat and this seems to tick all boxes, highly delighted .

Got this after reading "whichdogfood.co.uk" review for a trial. Our border collie loves it, his coat seems to shine more and he has stopped pinching food. His previous food (bakerscomplete) never seemed to fill him up and apparently is mainly just biscuit.Ordered a larger supply now. Very happy with product

My dog eats senior applaws and I thought that because the ingredients were very similar that it was basically the same as this one but i was wrong because it didnt agree with my doggy, and the actual kibble itself is a different shape. Apart from that its really great food, my fussy puppy always eats it!

Our two year old Boston Terrier had become very fussy over his previous dried food so we were looking for a suitable alternative. We dod some research on dried food high in proton and Applaws came highly recommended. Our dog has taken to the new food very well and we will definitely be buying again.
