Wonderfully soft and light whisky. Gorgeous golden colour. The taste is difficult to put a handle on....honey certainly, and fresh fruit and lemony citrus...it is utterly delicious! One of the most beautiful whiskies I've ever tried. Seductive and very moreish. Knockdu makes peated whisky as well as non peated, this anCnoc 12 being non peated. Came in a really attractive white cardboard tube, I really like the simple design of that and the slender bottle...opening both were very pleasant. Sampled anCnoc recently on a visit to Baxters in Speyside and couldn't wait to get my hands on a bottle....it's rapidly becoming a firm favourite! This whisky is an absolute joy! Yes....this whisky is sublime, but don’t tell anyone....lest the price rises to unaffordable heights! The distiller must be a master....I MUST visit this distillery!!

This is a very fine Highland Single Malt. I won't bother with tasting notes, as you can find that elsewhere and is subjective anyway, but I will say that I did enjoy this and purely in terms of flavour and presentation I can't fault it.Why only four stars? Well, good as this is I don't feel it's any better than similar malts which are cheaper and easier to get. For example, it may be fairly ubiquitous and unadventurous, but I find you can't go wrong with Glenmorangie:

Bought a long time ago as Knockdhu and found it a completely different whisky with a distinctive edge. This labeling carries on the uniqueness and the flavours are a delight. After a tot or two have been taken the aromas from the bottle are of wonderful, buttery fudge and toffee. There then comes in a banana and pineapple type cut. It will continually have to be in the house from now on, and I'm an Islay dedicationalisticant.(Coined it here just for you).

Went to a malt whiskey in Manchester last year and this was the best reasonably priced single malt there. The taste has lemongrass, a lovely citrus element, honey, a gentle salt aftertaste similar to a highland park 18 year old. With a glug of water it has grass, a reflection of the spring water it comes from and a softening of the salt. This is an excellent, well-rounded but complex 12 year old. My favourite 12 year old presently.

I’m not keen on single malt whisky produced on Scotland’s west coast and islands and as a result was introduced to Ancnoc whisky two years ago when staying with relatives. It’s produced in a small distillery in Aberdeenshire and is lighter and smoother with a more delicate taste of honey and lemon and suits my palette because you don’t tend to get the sharp burning aftertaste common to a lot of other whiskies.

I really like this whisky. I'm no connoisseur and I don't really have the vocabulary to describe the flavour in detail, but it's quite sweet and light with a smooth, lingering after-taste. It isn't at all peaty or smoky. The packaging is fresh, with a modern typeface that gives the bottle a youthful feel. Highly recommended.

A seasoned single malt drinker - I was searching for a foil to my usual bottle of Islay (I like to have one of each on the go, at least). This really is a pleasingly complex, smooth and refined 12yr old - punching well above your usual supermarket comparisons such as Aberlour, Balvenie etc.Treat yourself and enjoy.

Light honey and lemon, so easy to drink, a great starter malt for people getting into whisky or maybe just enjoy something delicious and unchallenging. Very good whisky. I haven’t tried the 18 year old yet but imagine the complexity that would hold would take it to the next level.

Delicious! I first tasted this in a local whiskey shop and fell in love with it as it's not really peaty at all. They were charging £45 a bottle but when i checked on Amazon it was £30 and on Prime. Superfast delivery and great price. Couldn't ask for me.

Very lovely light single malt.Touch above the usual Glenfiddich 12 / Glenmorangie 10.Light but quite a load of citrus and then spice.I always keep a bottle of this.In a perfect world it would be at 43 percent but a classy malt and a good price.

My husband loves this whisky and I'm always amazed how well packaged it is - wouldn't usually buy something so prone to breaking and making a mess, but the packaging they use is impressive.

A good clean-flavoured malt for those times when you want something that is neither overpowering or over-complex. A friendly warming dram for the warm fireside on a cold winter's night...

Stunning Highland Whiskey mellow but should be far more than it’s price tag, if you like your Whiskey you have to give this a run out 10/10
