I recently upgraded from my Intel i7 4790K to this fairly new Ryzen 7 and it has to be one of the best decisions I've made. The 2700X trumps any processor that has come before it and is still at the top of the league in terms of performance and capability. I also chose to retire my 5 year old liquid cooling system and try out the stock cooler that comes along with it, the Wraith Prism. For a stock cooler I can say incredible things about how this fan keeps the CPU in check without touching the settings whatsoever! The fan comes with RGB capabilities which look absolutely stunning when partnered with other RGB products, it's by far the best performing and best looking stock cooler I have ever seen.

Went from daily driver i5 4690k, very expensive build in its day, I think £2000 or so. So bought a cheap £250 or so pre-built PC from here. Ryzen 3 3200g based. More for fun than anything. Just to try out team red as I hadn't used one for years and years. Got a 2700x for £155 the other day and dropped it straight I to the (cheap as chips) a320m sh2 Gigabyte board.. Absurd the performance for no money!! I would use a VM or two all the time, plus some graphics and the usual office stuff. The 4690k was tearing away admirably at 4Ghz, but up to 80-90% usage. Ryzen? 15%, less power, silence, no water cooler, just SO smooth!! Havent tried gaming yet but got a 2060 super to drop in.. awaiting an 8 pin pcie adapter,

This processor works well and is easy to install as long as you know how. My son noticed after this upgrade that performance in all of his games improved, however that could be that his old processor was a bottleneck for his graphics card, which we didn't upgrade at that time. My partner has the same processor and he agrees that it works really well, he uses his to compile code and it does it very fast. Overall I would recommend this processor.

It's a CPU with lots of cores and a decent clock speed. There is scope for unthrottling with appropriate memory and motherboard. Avoid any MSI A320 chipset motherboard for this CPU (best to avoid any budget motherboard). ASRock B450 works fine with any RAM

It was plug and play operation, installed it on the motherboard and it worked as expected. CPU was new in a box and all pins were intact.

Best CPU for the Money.Thankyou AMDupgraded from an Intel 5820K...I will not be using Intel again.....They have no Profesional Ethics

it works as like a top class chip it runs hot have used water cooler set up but not yet let me down very happy with the 2700x

this is a great upgrade for a mid to high end home pc good for gaming and more than fast enough to process home video
