This is the third drying mat like this that I've used over the past few years. Relative to others, this mat offers several advantages:+ Proportions are excellent. A lot of other mats are more rectangular (longer but not as deep) and don't use kitchen counter space as efficiently.+ Surface is like terry cloth. Very nice.+ The included drying rack is a good value. In the past I've had to buy a rack separately, because if you put a glass upside down on one of these mats it will never dry inside. Need something to lift it off the mat. The rack that comes with this set is sized to fit the mat.+ Two mat set is a good value, so you can keep one on the counter when you wash the other.Speaking of washing,

When my husband and I have time, we can vegetables and cook large pots of soup. However, the items we use for those need to be hand washed and air dried. To facilitate that, these mats work very well! They are large (18” X 24” like the description says) and hold our huge pots very well; we can even put both mats together to make one big one. We’ve used dish towels in the past, but they generally aren’t big enough and get really sopping wet. These mats are thicker and soak up the water. Less often, we use these mats with the rack for our more delicate glassware including wine glasses and baking sheets that I don’t like to put in the dishwasher. The rack holds them very securely,

This mat is HUGE! Really! It’s awesome. Happens to be too large for the space I need it, so I ended up folding it in half and using that strap to hold it. Part of the appeal is the mildew-resistant bottom though, which I don’t know will still work with the way I’ve rigged it up.The elastic strap on the bottom is for folding the mat for easy storage. It folds up nicely and slips into small cupboards.I like that you can get 2 mats, keep one as extra, so you can swap them out and wash the mat every once and a while!

Great drying rack for dishes, etc. The mat is a great size. Larger than most the drying mats out there. It's absorbent and cushioned to protect dishes and glasses from breakage. It has a non-slip surface to keep everything in place.The rack is also a good size. I like the flat design. Seems to fit more than the other types of drying racks I've used before. Could definitely fit a family sized dinner service. It's coated to prevent rusting.Good, durable set for the price.

This is a great drying rack with a wonderful set of mats that come with it. The drying rack is a bit on the short side but my dishes stand and dry with no trouble. I am happy the rack came with two mats so I can replace one while the other is being washed. The metal is good quality and durable and the mat holds up well to a lot of usage and cleanings in the wash machine. I am glad I got this drying rack set and I definitely recommend it.

This drying rack and absorbent pad combo actually work really well. The pad dries out pretty quickly and I appreciate how it comes with two pads so you can switch them out easily when you need a change. The metal rack works great for plates but it seems like most anything else I end up just setting on the pad itself. If the sides were higher it might work for bowls but as is it’s really not that helpful for anything other than plates.
