OK... I'm a MUCH older modeller.Ignore the rubbish brushes, the glue, the horrendous pots of paint.What you are really buying is a little model of the classic E Type Jaguar.Yes, the Airfix moulds are ancient, worn out, and need replacing or better still, completely updating.All that aside - this is a good model of the famous Jaguar.The 'wire' wheels are pretty naff, the centre-spinners are so overscale that on a real car, they would be 10" across.The famous glassed-in lights have no internal bodywork.Why am I giving it 5 stars?Because it is STILL just about the best representation of the E Type you can buy as a model kit.You can do SO much with it.At the cost,

I brought this for myself having been into model building when i was younger and i was pleasantly surprised. Being a complete novice i was able to assemble the whole car using the instructions with no problems. The cars looks great when completed but of course there are a few rough edges here and there but what do you expect for £10. The only thing stopping this form being a 5 star review is my issue with the paint quality/lack of it. The paint is not good enough to only do one coat and there is barley enough to do a second coat for the red body.I'm really nitpicking here though all in all this is a great bit of kit that will keep you occupied for a good few hours!

Whilst not the same quality as some other Airfix models using updates tooling, with patience you can end up with a decent little model of the classic E-Type Jaguar. This model will definitely require some filing of parts to get things to fit well so a nail file or sandpaper is probably required. Some model putty might be handy as well. I used the supplied acrylic paints, but to get a bit of shine on the finish, I used a gloss varnish. (I used Pledge Multi Surface Polish painted on.) Whilst this is a very old kit, which could really do with some updating or replacing, it's still a worthwhile kit to put together if you've got the patience.

With a name like airfix , I thought the item would be amazing but the quality of the plastic injection leaves alot to be desired having said that it's a complete kit and it's good practice in how to get rid of imperfections and make the finished product fantastic, as a first time kit that you can learn new skills on it's great

Was going to give 4 stars for the quality of the parts but when I fully assembled the modle i know it deserves a higher rating. It was hours of fun, I did have a phew ups and downs when assembling the flimsy parts but at the end of constructing it and looking at the finished model I forgot all about the stress.

This was a present for my son. It was bought as a joke as he works for jaguar land rover but he loved it and spent all Christmas Day afternoon making it! It looks really nice now he has finished it. It is obviously for a child but my son still enjoyed assembling it!

Arrived today 28th March shouldn't have been here till the 31st I'm very happy it came early, I'm a 32 year old woman and I just love to build things so I was really happy when I found the Airfix models which is an added bonus that these models have to be painted

I brought this to amuse my son in lockdown! He really enjoyed doing this,it came with easy to read instructions,paints,glue and brushes, everything is you needed in 1 box. He enjoyed it so much,that l am going to order some more.

This was a present for my boyfriend's birthday and he loved it. The starter kits are great because unless you do these kind of models reguarly buying the paint and glue on their own can work out expensive.

Nice little starter kit. Some of the paints were solid so unusable.Kit is fine for a starter but a little trimming required as casts are a little rough to files are needed and good sharp knifes

I bought as a joke present for a family member, their dream to own an jaguar E type put a note on to say 'best I could do', so not sure if it will make up ok, sure it will.

Contains all that's needed to get started. You will need a good pair of little scissors and a nail file to smooth off any ridges. But otherwise it's great.

very good model fun to make, however, took a long time for my son about 5 days. the model ended up on showpecie. you sould buy it its easy fun kit.

Not built yet, just bought for stock, as there aren’t many about. I really wanted one with a hard top but I don’t think those are around anymore.
