The Airfix Hawker is a great beginner model and most importantly comes with paints and more than enough glue required to put it all together. The model is impressively intricate and the instructions are well designed and easy to follow. However the model may prove to difficult for those under the age of 10 as it requires a large amount of attention to detail and when piecing the model together my younger brother age 9 he found it to be somewhat aggrivating and difficult. Despite this when the model was finished even without painting it looked stunning and all the small peices fitted together nicely and indeed once painted it looked even better.

These kits are great. This is the 5th Airfix starter set i've bought, the rest being mostly aircraft at skill level 1. This kit is skill level two and you can immediately tell. I've been enjoying them a great deal and thoroughly recommend them to anyone. I use them to break up working from home as they're great to chill out and need to be done a bit at a time.The kit itself came on time and undamaged. Everything was perfect.Highly recommended

Decided to get back into modelling after many years so thought I would do this as a test/refresher. Didn't have high hopes but the final result is a really nice model. I would recommend if you want to buy this to get some different paint brushes and also some masking tape to get the paint line nice and crisp. Other than that it's all in the box and works just fine.

really good, I liked the product instructions could of been slightly clearer but I did get there in the end. Also would help if it told you how to paint the camouflage on the aircraft as the painting I have done is ad hoc. But on the most part it was a very good and enjoyable product to make and I would recommend this to a friend...

Very good set, some small pieces but not too difficult if you like some challenge, I'd recommend mixing the paint with some water so the paint doesn't look brushed on, overall a great set and I'm happy with my result however since the model is quite small I wanted to do more but I still highly recommend it especially as a beginner!

It's a lovely little kit. I found the instructions clear. As has been said, the paints are poor quality. The dark green was practically dry and useless. Other thing I don't like, but this applies to almost all kits. The undercarriage is far to complicated and because of tye size very hard to fit together

Nice little starter kit. Built with my 3 year old son and after applying a nice varnish to it, he uses is it as a toy. Not sure a good idea with other model kits but the Harrier lends itself to this as it is very sturdy (obviously rocket pods won't last if kids play with it.)

This is honestly a lovely model kit, whalst some parts can be a little fiddely namely the wing mounted landing gear, id still reccomend this to anyone, flashing was virtually non existant and it requred very little sanding and no body filler to build.

Great kit, hours of pleasure.For anyone who use to be an aifix fan, I would strongly recommend this classicNot hard to build, instructions are clear and the smell of the cement and paints has not changed in 30 years.... real nostalgia points here

Been doing a few models recently and just finishing this one off.It's high quality and fits together nicely.Only thing the paint supplied likes to separate on the first coat. Means 2-3 coats on some parts.Still a good kit.

Very good model only complaint is that it didn’t come with a canapé so looks unfinished. I don’t know if your meant to buy it separately as a spitfire I brought didn’t either. All in all it’s decent

Bought as a present for my hubby who loves Airfix models. He was in his element building this. Hasn't painted it yet, but it looks brilliant put together, and kept him occupied for quite some time!

Great model my first ever actually, was easy to assemble and came within 2 days of ordering. One minor complaint is that the paint in the small capsules is very easily spillable.

Excellent model, shame about the paint too thin even after mixing for a billion years and not enough grey with too much silver? Do your self a favor and buy the paint separate.

Bought for my other half. He loved every minute of building it. Although there are lots of parts and some of them tiny, he could follow the instructions to finish the job.
