At the time of writing you can buy this starter set - which includes glue, paints and a brush - for £7.99 on Amazon whereas the standalone kit is £11.99! These chances don't come along every day so I bought three.The kit is excellent, being a new tool that goes back only a few years. One point to note is that Airfix has abandoned the old "rubber band" type of tracks, which were always too thick and usually too short. Here the tracks are a moulded part that goes onto and around the wheels, making a much more accurate profile.Fill yer boots!

Decided to give this one a try, as it is one of Airfix's more recent releases. Impressed with the quality of the moulding and particularly with the concept of the one piece moulded track/drivetrains. So much easier than fiddling with poorly fitting vinyl tracks. Having the options of a deep wading exhaust extension and a hedgerow cutter is good. But why mould it in light blue plastic - ?! Originally, Airfix always used plastic in the appropriate base camouflage colour of the respective tank. Maybe now they use whatever colour is handy - ?

This was a good starter model for my 8 year old. He founded it good and really enjoyable to do. He especially like the molded tracks rather that the rubber ones. It did require a bit of help and my soon was not new to modeling so was able to understand most of the instructions. I would not recommend for children under 7 as it is a bit fiddely and requirees a certain amount of fine motor control. But a good model for him to do and encourages his enquiring mind.

Last time I built anything like this was nearly 40 years ago. Looked for easy way back into okd hobby and this is ideal. Enough fiddly bits to prove a challenge. Glue, brush & paint ok. Small scissors and nail file usrful to have at hand.Sweat, time and a few choice words later kit done, hopefully.Cromwell Cruiser not available to me 40 years ago. Pleasure to see it is now. Next project,hunt for Comet tank kit, or the Black Prince

Enjoyed making this, and painting. I'm not particularly artistic, but I had a blast! The decals are a bit fiddly, as are some of the smaller parts, such as the headlamps. Mine was missing a couple of pieces once it arrived on the Tuesday, but by the Friday I had recieved the replacement parts, first class postage from airfix. Overall this model is a good time, and I have already ordered another model to fulfil my craving for more!

Impressively detailed model. I found the tank tracks slightly too short so had to break them and insert a link of my own fashioned from a sprue to make them longer. Also the instructions say not to cement some of the wheels so as to leave them able to rotate but since they're attached to the fixed track they cannot rotate in any case.Don't get that...oh well lots of fun anyway.

The kit is really easy to construct and the instructions were very clear and the model ended up looking amazing after a gloss oil stain enamel wash was applied, however, I do wish they would have included more number 159 paint as I found myself having to thin it with water so I didn't run out towards the end of the build other than that though its great and I would recommend

I decided to get my children off there electronic device, so the I went for three of those. I have a 9 year old boy and a 12 year old girl.They both loved making these. It was easy with out being too easy. They have both asked to make more....... So airfix what else have you got?

I hadn't bought an Airfix model for a few years, thought I'd give them another go as I'd remembered having fun with them. I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed at all although it was a little fiddly, which is expected with a 1:72 model, but I'm certainly happy with it.

I found this kit to be excellent in every way unlike a fair few of the Airfix kits the instructions are well laid out and easy to follow the finished model looks excellent and was a really nice kit to build.

This kit has very nice fine details, the tracks are in one piece for each side, and of the same plastic, which makes for easier build and painting. Great price, good delivery, well packed.

Really enjoyed building this kit, assembly is fairly easy although the tracks can be a little fiddly. Has some really nice details, and excellent quality moulding.
