Some of the original Airfix moulds have dated terribly and need an update or re-tooling such as the WW2 Russians & British Paratroopers but I have to agree with the other review that these are probably the best Afrika Korps 1/72 scale currently available.Fine detailing ,excellent poses and authenticity make this a worthwhile purchase and also a great companion piece with Airfix 8th Army which is also another fine set.Some more great news is that the bigger cousins which the other reviewer alluded to -1/32 scale- are also being re-released in the next few weeks.

I don't know WHAT is wrong with the other reviewer - the item title clearly states 1/72 scale so giving a poor review because you cannot read is an eccentric use of Amazon's rating system to say the least.Despite their age these are some of the best plastic figures ever made and one of Airfix's triumphs - excellent, crisp detail and lifelike poses. As far as toy soldiers go these are among the very best.

Same figures as ever, but nice sculpts with decent animation on both. THe soft plastic is a bit "flashy" and some have mold lines that also need trimming but over all very nice. Would have liked a No.2 for the lying down MG34 figures - feeding ammo or cluthcing extra ammo cases would have been good.

Good quality and value for money. My only beef is the absence of a painting guide but this is easily rectified by a trawl of internet forums devoted to such matters!

these are exactly the same as i had 40 years ago, they are basic toys and make you use your imagination. now my grandson can play in a similar manner. Great.

This is a great set from Airfix, well detailed soldiers and brilliant for that Desert Scene.
