Wow a well designed and made ball in maze game.Although it looks like it will be fragile with the clear plastic outer it is surprisingly durable, we have had ours for some months now and the view through the plastic is still clear, we have just had to wipe off the odd sticky finger print but no more than that. With practice we are getting further and further through the incredable maze but we've yet to reach the end in one go, this is going to last us years. It seems to go in fits and starts as we will all be having a go, slowly increasing our skill and them we'll put it down for a while. Great fun on holidays as it fills those gaps in your jorney and can be taken anywhere, including next to the pool or on the beach.Very good for hand-eye coordination and spacial understanding as practice proves as well as being as good as a brain training game but in a more tactile way.The only down side has been the odd occation when the ball has got stuck between the outer clear case and a section of the maze, but it is easerly joged and tapped until it frees up.Overall this is the best puzzle/maize toys we have ever seen or used, as well as being picked up by anyone who sees it when a look turns into an hour of trying to get as far as they can. GREAT FUN

This was the most popular present that I got for my brother. As soon as he unwrapped it, he wouldn't put it down. He turned 50!.I got it for him, because he likes playing with remote control cars - the key word is playing. And I was right - he loved it.Can you remember the feeling when you were a kid and there's was a popular toy, everybody wants it and more someone hogs it, the more I want it. It was infuriating for quite a some time before I could get my hands on it. The truth to be told - I liked the way this ball looked and I wanted to try it. I do that ocasionaly - when I like something I give it as a present so I can have a go.The aim is to get the ball through the maze with many levels - it will take hours, days of practice to get through all the levels. My top level was 15 and with more drink the level got lower.Soon everybody was trying the maze. Having a competition against each other. Children as well as adults.I also gave my brother a silver plated personalised gift - surely it started to gather dust and never to be mentioned unlike the Addictaball Large Maze.

I bought this for my 22 year old brother for Xmas as a stocking filler item and for months he would try complete it at least one every day after finishing work. The ball is smaller than a football and doesn't weigh much as its made entirely of plastic. The outer case is made of a very tough plastic that doesn't scratch easily and can withstand being dropped on a carpeted floor a few times but I don't recommend dropping it at all. There a many routes designed into this puzzle allowing for multiple playthroughs, each one ends in the middle of the ball but each start has a number to indicate what level it is, the higher the number the harder the course.I would recommend this as a great gift to give to anyone over the age of 12,it demands that the player be thoughtful, careful and patient in order to complete it. The only downside is it seems like something that once the challenge is complete its unlikely someone will return to it unless a guest is over and are curious by it and it makes a good conversation starter.Overall:8.5/10

It is frustrating, has reduced my nine year old to tears, my sixteen year old using language that should not said in front of his mother, and me a tad over 21 sulking like a five year old, but we love it and even after having it for over two months one of us is always playing with it. Some times we leave it for days but its like it calls to you and you just have to give it another try to see if you can get a little further. It really is addictive but is so much fun. I gave up smoking just before we got it and it helped as it gave my hands something to do and while concentrating on this i could forget about cravings. It also provides a great source of amusement as anyone who comes to our home gives it a try and it is always fun to see grown men reduced to petulant five year olds while exclaiming there must be something wrong with it. If you want to get your kids something that does not need batteries or needs to be plugged in then this is the one for you.

Bought this item for a bit of fun and it certainly was for the price.I think the idea of a 3D maze is great, and proved to be a bit of a challenge to start with.I honestly can't say whether it reliably improves hand-eye coordination as it tests luck more than I had anticipated (when trying to get the ball through the spiral in the middle, I could rarely guarantee that it would land in the cup on the other side, no matter how slowly I approached the center), I guess that is half the fun/skill of it though. My only gripes are that the outer shell seemed a bit thin and flexible, however I am sure that the creators can justify their decision of materials.I pride myself in my patience and ability to concentrate when it counts.I was definitely able to make use of these traits with this product.I would not recommend gifting this item to someone suffering from muscle spasms, as it may prove marginally frustrating for them.

Brilliant toy. This is a replacement as my son's first ball broke - part of the track became detached but that was after nearly 4 years of being used (and thrown on the floor in frustration). I had to buy the same ball even though there are others available as neither of us have completed it yet and we HAVE TO FINISH IT!!!!!! I thoroughly recommend this. My son was 4 when he got his first one and at 8 he is still totally captivated with it. It has really helped with his patience and concentration. It is really good to see him planning where to go next and working out how to keep the ball on the track. This is so much better than him picking up a computer game. Brilliant for hand/eye coordination and problem solving.I cannot recommend this enough. Personally I find it really frustrating, in a good way, and am probably responsible for it hitting the floor more often than my son :-D

Bought this as a gift for my daughter. When it arrived the packaging was dented and the side of the puzzle had a dent in it as a result. (Why I gave it 4 stars). I coaxed the dent out of it with gentle pressure around it and there was no lasting damage.Puzzle is really fun and frustrating to do. Found myself even picking it up and wanting to play it more. I know why they called it an Addictaball!! Each "section" is numbered like levels and it allows you to start at three different sections of the overall puzzle which keeps you playing it more as there is no need to go from the start if you get 1/2 way through it, just go from the second or third start point.I'm currently battling with my family to see who can go furthest.Overall a brilliant toy but lighter plastic dome than I expected, however it can still be thrown about a bit without damaging. Just don't sit on it. ;-)

This is possibly the most infuriating toy I have ever experienced. It is also probably the most-used toy I have ever owned. The 'course' inside the ball is split into three sections so you don't need to start right from the beginning every time the little ball falls off (and believe me it will fall off a LOT). I know it's classed as a toy but everyone I know has had a go, and I bought it for a 21 year old who has barely put it down since he got it (although he still hasn't mastered it). It really improves your hand-eye co-ordination, and definitely has an impact on your patience. I can say that it is extremely durable because it has been thrown against a wall a few times and remains intact.I'd say that a child would probably have to be about 10-12 years old to attempt this, as even adults seem to have serious difficulty with it. The name is perfect- you will become addicted.

This is a really great toy and not just for children! The toy is a clear plastic sphere, inside is a 3-D maze, around which you have to guide a small ball bearing until you get it into the cup right at the centre. There are 138 moves, each one requiring a steady hand and an ability to think round corners as you try to work out how to tilt the sphere. The maze is ingenious, with lots of clever obstacles for you to get around. The toy is quite well constructed and durable, and I can see it lasting a long time. It is also highly addictive and very frustrating! Once you have a go you will not be able to stop, and if you do complete it I guarantee you will be starting all over again straight away.It is hours and hours of fun.As well as being fun, the game is a good educator/trainer - it promotes had eye co-ordination and problem solving abilities. All in all a great buy!

The 16 of the title is as far as I got, for several days, into the 138 stages that you have to go through before you reach the end and complete the game. It is a simple thing but difficult. The one critisism is that although the stages are numbered they are quite difficult to see and you need them to show which way to go next, they would be better in a contrasting colour. Although you are expected to start at the begining each time there are two other intermediate start points which means that you can pick it up somewhere near where you left off, or you can use these start points to cheat. It is marked not for children under 6 years due to small parts, this is now doubt true if they could get into the thing but the outer ball although quite soft is also robust and has been thrown on the floor a few times with no damage.

Switch on to standby the endless electronic paraphonalia your home is filled with and be introduced to the puzzle that will provide hour upon hour of enticing, challenging, irritating, obsessive logical gaming. Farewell to the sounds of mindless ps3 games, and the infuriating jingle of television ads- this nifty gizmo will entertain the toddler, the teen, the granny and by jove the dog. The optimistic will be flattened, the pessimistic find hope. The saintly mother will curse and the sky sports focused father will abandon football with the indignation of being outwitted by plastic. I would pay triple for this gadget which blesses and burdens your household - so fiendish, so devilish but so ultimately brilliant.Purchase with suspense for your delivery!

You learn a lot about yourself from this devilish ball. About how you judge yourself much too harshly when you make a mistake, about how easily you get angry, and about how you learn constantly even when you feel you've hit an impenetrable wall (and even when you feel you've mastered a section - sometimes it turns out you haven't, the ball was just toying with you). It's amazing how the sections you found insurmountable become easy when you really look at what's going wrong and work them out. To avoid a descent into madness, I recommend employing a fridge magnet to help you practice the crunch points half-way round sections two and three. It feels like cheating, but give your blood pressure a break!A fantastic toy!

When I first saw this product, I have to admit, I was a little dubious. The box says it's a toy for ages 5+, and this, along with the bright colours and design can very easily give one the impression that this is just a children's toy. However, as soon as you get it out of the box and start playing with it you realise just how wrong you are. This is a truly frustrating puzzle that will have you trying to complete it over and over again. It's really fun and challenging, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who likes this sort of thing - it will not leave you disappointed! And although the plastic appears quite soft,it is in fact very durable - mine has survived being dropped on more than one occasion!

We've had this for a few weeks and we're all loving it. My 8 year old boy has spent ages on it, my 6 year old daughter has too, my wife and I have and anyone who passes by picks it up and has a go.It's strong enough to cope with being dropped, and the plastic outside I think is fine. There's enough in it to keep anyone entertained for years. It's great for developing hand-eye coordination and patience. There are simple bits of it that you can whizz through to encourage you, and much harder bits that are really annoying. But you can enter the maze at 3 different places so you don't have to keep starting at the beginning if you've mastered that bit.I've already bought 2 of them for otherrelatives...

Bought one of these for my 8 year old sons birthday and has created many hours of activity for everyone in the family. Granny hogged it for a long time trying to get it right and following that each of the family members has had a go. Have had it for 6 months now and although the outer plastic seems a little flimsy it is robust and has not broken even having been dropped a few times. Has been taken to school on occassion and created much envy among friends. Good for concentration, co-ordination and silence! Would recommend it as a gift and the smaller one would be a very good stocking filler. Would not need more than one in a household though as everyone can share and it is not used everyday.
