Did this meet my expectations???? And How.... Ironically I used this for the first time yesterday (February 13, 2017) fishing for channel catfish at the local PFA. In the past, I had only used "old faithful" Zebco 33 until they became non-serviceable after hanging into three consecutive big cats 13# 10# 11#. Well that left me with a Walmart combo that lasted a few fish which left me anxious not to be defeated. After research I turned to Abu and I will not look back. I hung into a 11# catfish and it was as smooth as silk bringing him in.. not to mention the cast ability.Needless to say that if I would get another one day soon. The only reason I haven't at this point is I also bought the STX 6600,

Surprisingly excellent reel that even looks better an its pictures. Super smooth operation. Not sure why anyone would want to spend more on a spinning reel. I got the second smallest size and it is perfect for all around salt water fishing for fish up to 20 pounds.

Solid and smooth spinning reel with plenty of drag. I have two of these, and they've been great. Mostly used for smallmouth fishing in the Niagara River and fall salmon fishing off of the Lake Ontario piers.

The reel is great and very smooth, the only problem was that my son needed a bigger size like penn fierce II 6000 or 8000 (sea water fishing).

For the price this reel is great quality. The bail is a little funky compared to my other reels but no complaints.

The Orra S2 40 is awesome. I only use Abu Garcia rods and reels. high quality product.
