I bought this for my nephew during the summer holidays, for those rainy days when he kept saying 'I'm bored!' Well this worked a treat! Mixing the plaster was a bit messy but loads of fun. It doesn't take long for the plaster to set, an hour or two maybe. So by the afternoon we painting them. The colours were great, and my nephew who is 5 didn't have difficulty painting the figures even though they are small. He especially liked turning them into fridge magnets, which I have to say you do need to use a stronger craft glue to get the magnets to stick to actual figures, but once that's done the magnets do hold on the figures on the fridge. The badge pins didn't work for us,they didn't stay in place while the plaster was setting, but my nephew wasn't bothered he just made the figures anyway without the pins. All in all great product, and wish there were more sets like this available for boys. Too many of them are aimed at girls.

My daughter is very artsy and creative, and enjoys all kind of crafts and arts projects. For her birthday we had a "paint your own" party theme, and I ordered a set for each child to paint. I think that was one of the best parties I have ever thrown. Like other reviewer wrote, it is small, but I did not see it bothered anyone, and I think is is just the right size for a doll's tea party. It was the cheapest set I saw here on amazon, and when I compare it to other sets that costs 5$ more, I did not see any difference. It comes with 4 basic colors - red, blue, yellow and black, and a brush. I wanted the kids to have some more choices with colors and more brushes so I bought some acrylic paint and brushes (you can buy at any craft store and it will cost you a dollar or 2 per set ). All the kids had a great time with those sets, and were very occupied for a good hour and a half. Good value and good fun.

I should have listened to the reviewers that said this is small. Yes, I know it is described as 'mini' but that would possibly be the understatement of the century. It's even 'mini' by a 4 year old's standards (just ask my 4 yo) and my attempts at painting something decent with my daughter on tea cups the size of large thimbles was pretty laughable. If you're getting a group of little girls together for a painting party this MIGHT keep them entertained for an hour but it's definitely not appropriate for anyone else (unless you have much more coordination than I do). Frankly, I found it difficult to even hold the little cups as I attempted to paint them (without getting paint all over my hand and mixing colors on the cups). Also, the set only comes with one paintbrush so make sure you have others on hand if you plan on having multiple kids paint. This is definitely a cute product, though.

Bought a few of these kits to give as gifts and they have been well received. My five year old daughter and I tried doing this one and it worked really well. You can only make half at a time so the whole thing can be spread over a day or two and we both enjoyed it. Only down side is that the magnets have started to detach from the plaster and so they keep dropping off the fridge but the plaster hasn't broken so a bit of superglue may be required to stick them back on. As educational as you want to make it - depends how much you know (or want to impart) about the chemistry of plaster and the biology of the flora and fauna you're making. Good for fine motor skills.

You'd have to have surgical loupes to paint this tea set as depicted on the box cover -- it is small. Though the diminutive size of this set is to be expected if you read the product description adequately. We kept ours white and it serves nicely as a fun playtime accessory for our son. This tea set isn't terribly durable, a few pieces have cracked in two with only gentile play, but understandably it wasn't intended to be an indestructible product.Bottom line, it is hard to find toys that aren't made of some type of plastic, and this one offers a good value and plenty of enjoyment.

I bought this as a gift for a neighbors little boy. I ordered the zoo animals but he received ‘cute pets’ which came in a pink box which seemed a bit girly. He’s 6 so I think he’s at “that age” where he’s seeing the difference between what he sees is for girls and what is for boys. (Hence the 3 stars) I had it delivered straight to his address as it was a surprise during lockdown (sent several gifts to several people to spread a smile) so I wasn’t aware until I spoke his mum a bit later. He did make the magnets though with his mum in the end.

Purchased as a gift for my 7 year old Grandson, who loves making things. He was delighted with the present and made some lovely sea life creatures. The plastic mould could be a little more flexible for little fingers as it is made of quite stiff plastic and not flexible enough for youngsters to use on their own as you have to gently coax the plaster out of the mould, but we managed it with only one little tear to the outside of the mould. Shapes turned out well were decorated using the lovely bright coloured paints provided.

My kids are painting it now. So far they really like it. I did use my own acrylic paint though. It only has 4 very small containers of paint and only 4 colors. We also used our own paint brushes. Overall, my kids really enjoyed it. It says you can bake or not, baking it is suppose to help keep the paint from coming off. At first I couldn't find the paint and brush but it's taped to the back of the box in an indentation. I almost threw it away and thought it didn't come with the paint and brush.

My daughter was given this set for her 5th birthday from a friend and it provided a lovely, enjoyable, afternoon's worth of craft work. You actually got two sets of plaster so could use the moulds again, but we got a bit over enthusiastic with the paints and used them all up in one sitting. We made some pretty magnets which are still on our fridge now: durable and good quality. Lovely glittery paints, great present to take to birthday parties or to keep in your rainy day cupboard.

I bought this toy for my 7 & 8 year old kids to play with on one of our numerous rainy days. The instructions are clear and easily followed. The paints were a bit dull so we used our own.If you are looking for a product that is durable then don't buy this. Many of our creations fell to bits almost straight away as the magnets are pretty awful. Overall my kids really enjoyed this product and we have just completed the glitter fairy addition too.Well worth the money!!

This was a family project, with my two daughters (6 & 8) painting the cups and saucers while my husband and I painted the rest. There was enough paint for the entire set, with plenty of color mixing potential. The paint brush provided was sufficient. We made sure that there we used an additional (not included) paint brush for exclusive use in the white paint. We also followed the directions for setting the paint by gently baking the pieces, and it worked out great.

My 2.5year toddler loves his tea set. Its not a practical pouring teapot; the spout is not easy to pour and it spills alot. But as far as playing house and painting them and washing the dishes, its a great toy. We broke one cup but i think he learned they are fragile. I personally love the paint, how the paint can peel off and we can repaint it. Great gift for toddlers boys and girls will love it.

This is seriously the most adorable set! It is very small, even smaller than a lot of other toy tea sets I've seen, but I think that just adds to the charm. We used this as an activity at an "Alice in Wonderland" party and had the guests all paint some for the guest of honor. The only thing I would like to see are a couple more color options, as it only came with red, white, blue, and yellow.

My 4-year old daughter and I had a great time painting and decorating these! My only "complaint" is that I wish the kit came with some kind of sealer or that the instructions would at least suggest it. Over time, even just displayed as knick-knacks, the paint starts to chip off, etc. In the future if I purchased more, I'd def purchase some sealer to spray on these when finished!

I love how you can paint the set want ever you want I do have to say I wish they gave you more color choices. I also want to say that some parts of the set where very small and hard to paint. I love my tea set although I wish the set came with little spoons to "stir the tea with". I also enjoy how when you where done painting them all you have to do is throw them in the oven.
