On the first sniff of it, it smells purely like rubbing alcohol, but if you take a minute or two to just smell the tequila and allow your sense to adjust to the original overpowering smell you'll notice a distant gentle fragrance of the agave juice.If you knock it down, it can't really be appreciated, but if you've adjusted your sense of smell then take a sip and roll it round the tongue before drinking it, you allow time for your taste buds to adjust to the overpowering flavours and pick up on the gentle z'est.It can't really be appreciated on its own, mix it up with a whiskey or a vodka and bring out its finest flavour.. then you will really appreciate it.

This stuff is delicious...I like my tequila....and have tried loads..but keep coming back to this one....very enjoyable...very smooth...so much so I won't now waste it by masking the flavour with mixers...wonderful to sip on on its own...no ice...lime or salt...why spoil the flavour ...enjoy on its own

This is the third time I have bought this tequila and I am really impressed with it. I'm no expert but I can definitely taste a difference between this and the regular Jose Cuervo and I love using it to make margaritas.
